My teacher is... well... I’ll let my complaints speak. For the current piece: 1. Plays too fast before we even learned the piece 2. Jumps in without practice so we constantly sound a mess 3. Made the 3rd and 4th violins switch to 2nd and 3rd parts 6 WEEKS after we started learning the previous violin parts 4. Didn’t even slow down the tempo to give us time to learn our new parts 5. Rarely plays with the rest of the orchestra, only firsts 6. Neglects our poor viola 7. Separates parts by skill. Obviously firsts have harder parts so they need to be more skilled, but the people who aren’t particularly good at their instruments are all put together so we can’t learn from each other and that part gets drowned out. At least put one skilled person in every part😭

Interesting. I'm a violinist and my daughter has a degree in traditional animation. I don't think she's ever noticed my bow stroke. I'll have to ask her lol. As far as being expressive or refined, in some ways, it matters what type of music you're playing (Baroque as opposed to Romantic, etc.) or if it's the melody or harmony, which can often be the 1st or 2nd violin part.
Have you watched that orchestra episode of Tom and Jerry. @@MissTwoSetEncyclopedia you know everything about twoset don't you?
@@sinpi314 I work hard to live up to my username... 😁
That moment when you’ve never played anything above level three, but then suddenly you’ve played number 7...
*Carmen at #3* too fast for me
*Dance of the Knights at #5* well I've tried this before! 🤣
Listening without context:
"Oh that doesn't sound too hard."
---And saw it's difficulty level: 8
"Oh that requires superior coordination and tons of practice for sure. "
Being in tune with everyone during shos 5 is v v difficult in those higher sections
It’s intonation is what really gets people and making the piece be expressive and lyrical
Fluteperson01 ... and you can’t shift like you’re changing gears on an old banger! I love playing that section, you need confidence and grace - but playing it does evoke a combination of fear and gratitude.
This shows that faster pieces isn't necessarily more difficult
Agreed! I thought Carmen was going to be 8 or 9. Nope!

Somehow, I felt really refreshed seeing them playing seriously again. Like their serious side is finally back. :)
Wow. The more difficult the level goes, the more excitement I could witness on their face. That was pretty impressive.
On the "Dance of the Knights" their bowing looked so so pretty
YESSSSSS that sync in string crossingsss

Last time I was this early the conductor made the entire orchestra stop and start again from the beginning.
This is one of my favorite twoset videos because we can really see just how talented these two are! Love you both!!
3:57 brett: calm, chill, stone face eddy: EXTREME MOVEMENTS, EXTREM CONCENTRATED FACE 😂
Watching this really reminded me how much I miss going to concerts and being able to see the musicians perform. It really adds to the experience if you're able to see how they feel the music and how it, quite literally, moves them.
Honestly I could watch Brett and Eddy perform like this for hours on end. They don't just play the music, they feel it, live it and let it become part of them. Really fascinating and beautiful to watch.
I started watching TwoSet around 3 months ago and I really got into classical music. I started playing piano again and you don’t know how content I was when I came back here after a month and could recognise almost all of the pieces.

So funny to watch the difference in Eddy and Brett when they are playing the Mahler!!!! Eddy moves so much, but Brett is just incredibly efficient in his movements. All business. Fascinating
when they said professional, they are professional.
When two set posts while you're in virtual orchestra class.
Student: teacher, I have something important to do now
Teacher: This is orchestra, you are not permitted to leave
Student: But TwoSet just posted
