With the exception of a couple of piano concertos, Chopin wrote exclusively for solo piano. While some of his works were transcribed for other instruments or even string ensembles, the vast majority were not. So a violinist will have heard or played some of those tunes, he would not be familiar at all with Chopin in general. The Ballades in particular are considered his best long form works, and yet they never to my knowledge have been transcribed for violin or anything else, probably because of their difficulty and length. There’s lots of good melodies in them, but they’re fairly repetitive, and they don’t allow the violin to breathe. So it is not surprising to me that Brett and Eddy don’t know much about the Ballades, although they probably have heard the first one many times. Everyone knows that one. Only pianists know about the other three.

I’m sooo happy! I’m coming to your concert in Brisbane!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay! 🥳 🎉
Great video! Love the upgrade in production :) I do miss subtitler-san however
This is my favourite video of Brett & Eddy,so much fun to watch. The playing from both of them was 😁👏
They did such a good job! I'm actually surprised they did as well as they did, a lot of these were INSANELY hard.
Edit: Poor Brett 😂
I have watched this for years and love their channel. Recently, I've been surprised and disappointed that the new videos look like a tv show. I miss the old twoset setup
Maybe they wanted something different after 10 years? Touring the world they spend way less time at 'home'(?) in that cozy studio. In December they were in Singapore. They are going away for another on month this weekend.
Maybe I guess? Possibly they will go back to their old setup after they finish their world tour@@e2pii213
Love Brett's playfulness.
I’m impressed by their repertoire. They could play the pieces on 3rd round so well by heart.
I made a meme yesterday watched two set for hours then went to bed woke up and new twosetviolin video
Omg their matching clothes are just 🥹
twosetapparel - you can buy those
All I know is, they know a lot more about music than I do, and Brett is a lot fitter than me too!
I love these two guys to bits. I am speculating that the part of the brain that confers "perfect pitch" also enhances playing by ear and recall of melodies - thus Eddy's performance edge on such tasks. They are more or less equally knowledgeable otherwise.
These videos are getting better and better
They are going bretter and bretter
@@astringtorulethemall haha
How is is better when we can't hear the questions? Amateurs.
@@nom3nnescioAre you sure? I can hear the question clearly, I think you turned off the volume
15:17 this is the cons of timers, I love this piece and I love, how Eddy played it, and I wanted to hear more))
I can’t believe they called it “sOnG identification”
