Usually I am more taken with the effect of pedals on high gain, but with this one I really enjoyed what happened with the clean amp and Strat style. Nice pedal for tweaking anything, though.

TDLX is a great pedal platform!

Wouldn't think of a mud killer pedal as a thickener but that's cool it can do that. It has the fat to skinny knob so it makes sense.

I never get tired of listening to you shred through high gain amps and pedals 🤘👍

Thanks brother. It's such a treat to play gear like this!

Great idea. I do that with my GT-1000. I use Carvin M22T pups in everything, but they do have a little too much low end, so I take out the lows with an EQ first thing. I have doe it for decades, but I used 2 rack EQs before, to take out the lows first, and restore them on the back end.

Cool pedal. I think I prefer the way it sounded when you used it to thicken your tone for the heavy stuff.

The mud control is a simple high pass. Pretty clever.

One of those "why didn't I think of that!" additions

Looks good I may try it. Always had a boost with the mp1. Don't use a boost that much without that anymore.

Have you had a chance to compare the Mud Killer to a Dire Wolf or Precision Drive? Thanks.

The LT guitar faces definitely get more aggressive as the tones get more aggressive.

I'm curious how this pedal works to replace a tube screamer I'd worth it? I use a Friedman Buxom and Source Audio Zio. Was gonna get a JHS Bonsai or Mud Killer. Mostly play rock, hard rock, grunge and some metal.

You can disable the clipping and you've got extra control over the low end with the MK if needed, so it does everything a TS will plus more.

Also a question that doesn’t really have to do with this video but what are your thoughts on Steve Brown? I think he’s a great player that no one ever talks about. He’s an amazing player with some sweet axes like the Kramer nightswan/explorer which Kramer should do a version of it

Can you use this as a traditional TS style pedal as well? Does it have to work just for metal? Could it work for my covers gig as well?
