- Chopin's very beautiful study on rising and falling arpeggios. I actually haven't played any classical pieces since my last upload, so the performance was a little sloppy. Some missed notes, most notably the highest note of the very last chord (How did I miss that?) Sheet music I used: hz.imslp.info/f...
What an amazing performance!
Thanks! Means a lot coming from one of my RUclips idols!
Great video! One of my favorite Études!
Stellar performance!!! Holy shit that was insane... thank you for sharing
amazing! looking forward to more classical stuff :)
Absolutely wonderful. You’ve got another subscriber.
Your channel is so underrated 😭

Wonderful performance, I would love to be able to play it but the speed in my left hand is not fast enough to play arpeggios at that speed, I was thinking of learning op 25 no 5 though, any tips? Also, welcome back!
Thanks! I haven't played No. 5, so I can't really help you with that. But the Ocean etude doesn't have to be quite this fast. And if you get that smooth rolling motion in your hands and wrists when playing arpeggios like these, the speed should come quite natrually. I would say the main problem I had with this piece was how tiring it is to play it, regardless of technique. Getting up to speed is fine, keeping it throughout is the challenge!
Synthesia Composer I’ve only got the mid section left to learn now, after I’ve finished 25 5 I’m gonna try this
Holy cow your playing is very impressive! How long have you been playing the piano?
Thank you! Around four and a half years now.
@@SynthesiaComposer How old are you?
Came here from Mario's video, really shows how difficult the piece really is. Nonetheless, great performance.
This is beautiful! Any tips for playing at 13?
Omg ur alive
I didn't have time to upload for a long time, but yup! I'm gonna try to upload semi-regularly again.
Is this one easier than op 10 no 1?
Op 10 no 1 is the hardest along with op 25 no 6, I think.
How long did it take you to get this at full tempo?
About a week, I've done similar chord patterns before so the speed wasn't an issue. The endurance was though!
Synthesia Composer wow I wish I could learn and perform Chopin etudes in a week it took me like 2 months to master revolutionary etude
@@Vvi52 You'll get faster with some more experience. I think I remember reading Lisitsa learned a piano concerto in four days. That is so far beyond my level! But the Revolutionary would probably take a longer time to memorize than the Ocean, for me at least.
Just a note.. this isn't full tempo yet, at least not when using the designated tempo by Chopin which is 168 I believe. Very very few people play it at that true full tempo. The only acceptable one that I've found on youtube is the version by Pollini and even that one gets a bit slow in many parts.. but does seem to hit over 160 at some points. I've been trying to get to this true full tempo for over 2 months now but I'm stuck at around 145.. slightly varying of course depending on place within the piece. I started with this piece from scratch, not playing any real classical piano for years and it has taken me 7 months now and I'm not even close to being content with the performance. Yeah.. this thing is difficult.
Niklas Silen ya I know it isn’t the tempo Chopin wrote but besides Cziffra most performances are around this tempo btw good luck with this piece I honestly don’t know why people consider it to be one of Chopins easiest etude
