High quality piano tutorials, transcriptions and original songs!
Art Blakey - Moanin' (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)
A piano arrangement of Art Blakey's most famous tune, Moanin'! It includes the theme and the piano solo from the original recording. However, only the right hand is an accurate transcription of what the pianist played. The left hand is sort of improvised, filling out the space caused by the lack of bass and drums.

Chopin - Etude Op. 25 No. 12 "Ocean" (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)
Просмотров 5 тыс.5 лет назад
Chopin's very beautiful study on rising and falling arpeggios. I actually haven't played any classical pieces since my last upload, so the performance was a little sloppy. Some missed notes, most notably the highest note of the very last chord (How did I miss that?) Sheet music I used: hz.imslp.info/files/imglnks/usimg/a/ad/IMSLP112921-PMLP01970-FChopin_Etudes,_Op.25_Scholtz.pdf
Peterson/Molina - A Little Jazz Excercise (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)
Просмотров 16 тыс.6 лет назад
Jesús Molina's virtuosic version of Oscar Peterson's "A Little Jazz Excercise. As if the original wasn't difficult enough... Thanks to GB Scribes for transcribing this: ruclips.net/video/ojpBJHQRcDE/видео.html The original is slightly faster than I can play without it getting too sloppy.
Sibelius - Op. 75 No. 5 "The Spruce" (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)
Просмотров 55 тыс.6 лет назад
A very underrated piece from a very underrated composer. It's the fifth and last of his "Five Piano Pieces", all of which are named after a tree. I may have overused the pedal here, plus the C#7 chord that appears twice isn't meant to be arpeggiated, but my hands are too small to safely play it as a block chord. Sheet music: conquest.imslp.info/files/imglnks/usimg/d/d4/IMSLP10824-Sibelius_-_Op....
Liszt - Un Sospiro (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)
Просмотров 20 тыс.6 лет назад
Liszt's third concert etude. It's a study in crossing hands, which makes it very difficult (but still easy compared to other Liszt etudes). I changed the crossing patterns slightly during the final arpeggios, to avoid five finger chords. It might affect the overall smoothness of the arpeggio, but it's much easier to play. Sheet music I used: ks.imslp.net/files/imglnks/usimg/5/54/IMSLP04424-Lisz...
Chopin - Etude Op. 25 No. 1 "Aeolian Harp" (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)
Просмотров 17 тыс.6 лет назад
Chopin's study on rapid arpeggios... This and Op. 10 No. 3 are my favorite of his etudes. There are some sudden bursts of loud notes in random places, but it's quite hard to perfectly control the velocity on a digital piano. Here's the sheet I used: hz.imslp.info/files/imglnks/usimg/a/ad/IMSLP112921-PMLP01970-FChopin_Etudes,_Op.25_Scholtz.pdf
Chopin - Waltz Op. 69 No. 2 (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)
Просмотров 7 тыс.6 лет назад
A beautiful waltz by Chopin that he unfortunately wished would be burnt upon his death. A few minor errors in my performance... Here's the sheet I used: hz.imslp.info/files/imglnks/usimg/9/9d/IMSLP60219-PMLP02374-w10-h-moll-cfi-a4.pdf
Mozart - Sonata No. 16 - 1st mvt (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)
Просмотров 3 тыс.6 лет назад
The most famous movement of Mozart's most famous sonata! This is the sheet with the fingerings I used: conquest.imslp.info/files/imglnks/usimg/2/2f/IMSLP70214-PMLP01855-KV_545.pdf Some finger choices seem odd to me but it worked out in the end.
Chopin - Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)

One of Chopin's most beautiful pieces. The fingerings aren't all correct but other than that I'm pretty happy with this recording.
Dave Brubeck - Blue Rondo à la Turk (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)
Просмотров 81 тыс.6 лет назад
The intro (and a little bit of solo) to one of Brubeck's most famous tunes! There were a few mistakes I had to edit out afterwards, most noticeably in the stride part, nothing too bad though.
Boston - Foreplay (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with hands)

My piano cover of the intro to Boston's Foreplay/Long Time. It's originally played on an organ with the full band but it sounds pretty good like this as well! Original song: ruclips.net/video/TnwqUEelQjE/видео.html
Genesis - Firth of Fifth (Synthesia Piano Tutorial with Hands)

The intro to the prog epic "Firth of Fifth". Original song: ruclips.net/video/SD5engyVXe0/видео.html
Oscar Peterson - Boogie Blues Etude Transcription Attempt by SynthesiaComposer

Not the most successful of transcriptions due to a multitude of errors, but still worth uploading!
The Room - Oh Hi Mark (Harmonized)
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.6 лет назад
Harmonizing a famous scene from "The Room".
Amazing performance by the hands... Thank you for this!
brilliant! Missing your videos
Came to watch this after The Bluecoats performed it in change is everything, and holy smokes
Thank you for teaching me how to play this song. Now I can play 6 whole songs on piano. I’ve been watching this video every other night and learning each piece around 10 seconds of video at a time for the last 3 months and I finally have it memorized. I just need more repetition until I can play it flawlessly.

How are you supposed to learn this? Goes by so fast; no chord symbols!
This way easier than it looks
❤❤❤❤
これをパクってるけど最後ら辺の右手やばいきつい

A 00:37 è completamente sbagliato il basso
Yep...I'm never going to be able to learn to play this song 😅😂
nice, how long have you played piano?
It was insane ! GGs !
traslate this no se porque el inicio se parece un poco a great fairy fountain
Man....
I know this video is 5 years old but if you’re still there, are there any tips to play measure 30 insanely fast?
Is there a sheet music version of this😊
I bought this album in 1973 but did not realize how great this song was until a few years ago.
Bro, you need practice, then one day youll gonna be a good pianist
0:36 I believe the last octave in the left hand before the C#m chord is actually a G# and not an F#
Why no sheet music???????
I have been playing piano for over 15 years and this has to be one of the hardest pieces to play

I was in the 10th grade (1961) acting like a heavy beatnick when I heard this song and Take five by Mistro Brubeck. Thanks for th gr8 memories.

Hello, I’m ten years old. I'm playing this piece on the piano right now. I’m from Czech Republic. Beatiful piece❤🎉
It's there a midi file for this.
うまい
this song is so pretty. and honestly so underrated jeez!
Man, I love the additional harmony you added at the 2:07 section. I've been struggling trying to adapt Moanin for solo piano as you normally really feel the absence of the rest of the trio, and I try to stay away from stride with this as I feel it detracts from the cool sound somehow. Great job, thank you sir - I shall steal from it at will
Hey, I love your transcription it make me want to start jazz again, I wanted to ask do you still have the sheet music for it ? thanks in advance
Loved this. Slowed down the song to the slowest RUclips would allow me to and learned all of the bass lines/rhythm with the left, then the right hand. Great video. Thanks!
My toxic trait is thinking I could actually learn how to play this
Way wrong
can't spell his name without art
Bravo...
I struggle so much with that inversion at 0:55 (is it called that?) It's the hardest part by far I think!
I need to play this in a concert. Only problem is that they asked me to play it in C minor. Now I need to transform it into C minor. Wish me luck
