- My piano cover of the intro to Boston's Foreplay/Long Time. It's originally played on an organ with the full band but it sounds pretty good like this as well!
Original song: • Boston - Foreplay / Lo...
Boston is such an amazing band. Can’t believe they made a song like this. Legends. This is amazing well done
Not they. Tom Scholz. He was the mastermind behind Boston
Thank you for teaching me how to play this song. Now I can play 6 whole songs on piano. I’ve been watching this video every other night and learning each piece around 10 seconds of video at a time for the last 3 months and I finally have it memorized. I just need more repetition until I can play it flawlessly.
I'm amazed by anyone who can play this. You nailed it man. Thanks for posting
Thanks to him i can just barely get 20 seconds into the song (so 0:30 bc of his intro)
practice ;-) @@cholsreammos
@@arthurmurfitt7698 oh i did, about 2 weeks later i was able to play the full song full speed lol
Tom Scholz = 70's Bach
this guy is amazing! most people who run these synthesia channels dont really know how to play and just run a midi file, which is fine, but it certainly adds to the listening experience if a person is actually playing it. well done
Thank you!
That was amazing! I will only listen 3 more times today.
Amazing performance by the hands... Thank you for this!
Wow. Goosebumps! Bravo! I've been working on this for a few months now and you make it look easy! I know, practice, practice.
Stunning!
I appreciate this tune so much that I used to own a Hammond M3. You absolutely nailed it!
Wonderful demonstration. It shows how truly difficult the song is. Hat’s off to you!
I have been playing piano for over 15 years and this has to be one of the hardest pieces to play
Fantastic playing, this is even harder than I thought
This is amazing, Thank you!
Thank you so much! Sounds great and very helpful for learning it.
You are so crazy man, this is insane :o
This is so awesome !!
Phenomenal precision like Bach
A thwacka thwaka doo doo do doo do doo dooooo...dude I feel it!
Came to watch this after The Bluecoats performed it in change is everything, and holy smokes
Thanks for the video! This is great for checking out fingerings!
Thanks for the synthesia bro
It’s official, Scholz wrote masterpieces.
The skill gap between this guy and the bottom of even the best 1% of people who have ever touched a piano must be as great as that between the Olympic Marathon gold medalist and that guy up the road who won the local Old Home Days 5K and a jar of honey.
Interesting analogy. But if you think about it, the vast majority of people who've touched a piano probably spent no more than a few minutes hitting random keys. Probably flattens the curve quite a bit.
@@SynthesiaComposer True, just as most people who start jogging don't stick with it for more than a week or two, if that. But mostly this is just you being humble. ;o)
Either way, this is vastly superior to a finger-free presentation since positioning is so vital, so it is much appreciated.
@@kemibe Thank you! I've never actually tried to figure out the fingering based solely on a video of someone's hands, is it difficult? Sheet music usually has some finger markings on the trickiest parts but leaves the rest up to you.
Yeah, but you see that he is just following the lights. His piano does not even have strings.
@@fuffoon After a few hundred views, sure, of course I picked up on that!
superb
Brilliant
BRILLIANT !!! Thank You !!!
Oh my God. Im going to die with this.
It is perfect🤍🖤🤍🖤
Bravo...
Brilliant!
wow
Niceeee
Well I would hope with hands what else can you do it with
So beautiful man! Excellent job and you play better than me to boot. Did you arrange this yourself?
It's mostly a transcription of the original, with some slight changes to emulate the whole band, or just to make it fit better for the piano instead of the original Hammond organ-type sound.
My toxic trait is thinking I could actually learn how to play this
It's there a midi file for this.
0:09
Foreplay by Sergei Rachmaninoff
How can I get the MIDI file from you to learn this using Synthesia?
00:19
Midi please!
Do you a MIDI file on this?
Sheet music?
Why the hell must this song be so hard
Yep...I'm never going to be able to learn to play this song 😅😂
Is this really the correct notes ??
Does something sound wrong?
No it sounds great.. I’m learning this but I don’t read sheet music ,so when I learn a song if I teach myself a wrong part it is very hard for me to unlearn if that makes any sense
@@doops920 Okay, this should be pretty accurate though.
Ok thanks your a great piano player thanks for these video tutorials do you play any gigs
@@doops920 Thanks! Some gigs here and there but with the corona restrictions it's not as regular.
can somebody tell me in what key/scale is this? please and thanks!
Bb minor with some dorian thrown in.
@@SynthesiaComposer thank you! having a blast going through this!
