it was cool seeing them all one after another. we're still running the countyline single. we do have the 4 way slide on for it, but it popped off once and broke dad's face and ripped part of his nose off so only use it if the wood is close to perfect.
Great comparison. When trying to maximize time and the quality of wood it’s always a hard decision. Especially for production wood. Time is money. Boiler wood who cares. Haha. Just get a 12 way. lol I wanna see you do 50 cords in 2025. Since you’re hooked now. Get it done.
well i think the signal way is best .the higher the split wedges the more trash ,so you have more waist and more clean up . witch after a day of splitting can add up . the single also has more consent pieces of wood , also in multi split and box wedges the splitters switch to the slower power speed . good show proves my point . best to all john
I do agree that the single is the cleanest option. I’m not worried about the slash cause I scoop all that up and toss it in the boiler hahaha so even if I get 90% yield from every log that’s good enough for me. Theres no waste one way or another
I think what you’re using the splitter for is relative. I have a single wedge on my splitter to split wood for my boiler. I usually toss whole or half rounds in there and rarely break it down anymore than that.
Great machine

I have a single and a four way. For me I usually use the single. I am generally not in a rush splitting wood. And I like the perfect size splits.
The single wedge is the classic. It's a slower split but very precise. The 4 way/ single on my machine is the best combo

Great Video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Neat comparison Jay. Happy New Year’s to you, your family, and of course Homestead Jim. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks man, same to you and yours! 😊

I have a single, 4, and 6 way wedges. And 99% of the time, I am using the 4 way wedge the most.
What I love about this machine is the 4 way and single are the same wedge all I have to do is lower it and raise it if I want the 4 way.
The six way you deff have to know your wood and have good clean logs.

Yes if I can handle it I toss it in. This wood is all wood to sell!
