Dream car since Gran Turismo 1. Dope stuff brother! 🔥👊💯
Thanks man!
Love the 3000GT I bought one 7 years ago for me son to use going to HS than college. I always wanted one for myself. I taught him and my daughter how to drive in this car. The car only had 62K miles on it when I got it. After 61/2 years of college my son got a job and a new car so guess what I have my 3000GT and it just turned 100K. The engine in this car is soooo nice. The only thing is the first owner was a cop lol he stopped driving it because he got a little heavy so he let it sit in his driveway for years. The body paint is toasted and the rear seat is just falling apart now. I got some paint from paint scratch same factory color put into a paint can. I took the rear spoiler off and repainted it that pearl white looks great. I plan I doing the hood and roof next just waiting on the paint to get here. Love these cars it's still all stock like yours just a lot less miles and you don't see them on the road I get comments every time a take it out on the road which isn't much, weekend warrior now.
@@markbattaglia7538 How did it turn out?
@@CaptTwo6
That's the best. Very cool as a d d
Now you gonna need a daily for the daily
😂😂
I agree ! it's too clean
Then you gonna need a daily for the daily for your daily
i have a 3000gt as a “daily” and i had to buy another daily for it aswell😭 its stock but i’m determined to fix it
No Lie🤣🤣🤣
the pop-up headlight 3000GT's have a special place in my heart. The 3000GT is definitely a car you dont see too often now too. And man, yours is CLEAN. All the ones around here (MN) are rusted out lol
Yeah I never see them man. Even now owning one my head is on a swivel and haven’t seen one yet haha
I owned a 1st generation Toyota MR2 years ago. It had pop up head lights. I loved them until the motor in one of them went out.
My friend just got a free one
I got the one in profile pic with pop up and aother 3000 without
They are a beauty
Beautiful car! I've been using my 93 atx 3000gt as a daily for over 10 years now and hasn't let me down. 196k miles and running better than ever.
“It’s 2020 If ur listening to am fm radio what’s wrong with you?” 😂😂😂lmaoooo I listen to fm all the time
😂😂 Spotify all day. Tired of hearing the same 5 songs on the radio and annoying local commercials
@CaptTwo6 those annoying commercials give peace to me tho.. may he I'm getting old haha I'm starting to dislike changes haha
These cars are so underrated. I own 95 VR4 and absolutely love it.
I want to ride on one to see how the handling and power feels
@@CaptTwo6 Incredibily heavy car (almost 1700kg) if you have 4WS and Active Aero version as I have, fair handling and good power, gearbox also fine - 6spd. getrag trans do its job well. Under full throthle front of the car goes up like it want take off :D 3000GTs were too ahead of its time..
@@benybotexe I have a 96 VR-4 with TEIN coilovers on it. It's dropped about 1.75" in the front, and 2.5" in the rear. They take the handling from "fair" to excellent!
I have the exact car as you but have a SL version and I bought for 10k and it only had 40k miles on it. It was sooo clean and I still have it today! Always get lots of complements too! Gto are so rare and fun to drive :)
Absolute unit of a sports car, intro sound-track even sounds great.
Nice addition to the Evo....excited to see how it turns out once you’ve properly detailed and protected it..
Just finished yesterday and it’s looking super clean!
Congrats on the 3kgt. Bought mine 2ish years ago and its been awesome. 1994 in pearl yellow. Really clean as well. And perfectly fast enough to be fun.
Pearl yellow I've only ever seen
Red
Black and
Bayside blue
Congrats, it appears to be super clean! You can't beat the sexy looks of the 3000GT!! Absolutely gorgeous car!
Thanks Rick!
She's a beauty, glad someone like you found it.
I had an all red 97 3000gt (not vr4). 5 speed, 275 whp. It was my favorite car I’ve ever owned. The front control arm busted off during a burnout and took out the whole front suspension and split the fender down the whole driver side. Beautiful cars. I plan on getting another sometime soon
Ive had mine for 7 years and my commute is roughly 450 miles per week. Never broke down, no leaks or any major issues.
Oh yea I did spend quite a bit to fix everything
Awesome! I’m honestly loving it a bunch right now. Drives so smooth
I love these kind of vids. Please do this again the next time you buy a new car
Dang dude that car is clean!! Congrats!!
Looks amazing! I have the same freaking antenna on my integra and I’m glad I’m not the only one that thinks it makes it look like an RC car😂
amazing bro 🤘🏽
Nice car! Love the 90's Japanese sports cars. Got a red 1992 Nissan 300ZX as my daily driver. Keeping it stock, not the fastest thing but when I have the t-tops off it always puts a smile on my face 😎
So proud of our capt ❤️ congrats my man
Thanks man!
Bro you’re so lucky!!!! So clean man
I had enough cash to get a pretty nice car at 16, looked at a couple muscle cars, too basic, 240sx were too overpriced, didn’t feel like selling my kidney for a Supra or skyline, found one of these and fell in love with this car. Had it almost a year now, almost 17, this cars my baby.
I have a '92 3000 gt sl, and most people under 40 have never seen one. I bought it new in May of '93. It was called a baby Ferrari or a $30k Ferrari. The lines are timeless so it can pass as a new car even as old as it is. True, it has little defects like the electronic suspension control module, but it can be rebuilt, and the AC display unit and control module have to be rebuilt when they go, but it isn't expensive. I have to have my instrument cluster rebuilt as well because the tach is showing its age, but again, it isn't an expensive fix. I've had 30 years of fun with this car. Check out 3Si.org for parts, and other items.
Yep. Years ago I saw a 1993 Red 3000 GT following a red F-40 Ferrari around one of the bigger cities in my state. Just a couple buddies having fun.
I love how you love overlooked legendary mitsu's
Clean 3000GT homie! All the ones I've looked at around here are either ragged or roached out with rust.
Congrats Again!! 3kgt for the Win! Dope!
Thanks bro!!
Looks cool!
Beautiful. I owned a 1995 back in 2004 this made me the coolest guy in highschool. 🤣 Everything was fine till 2007. Started with my fuel pump, then my alternator, coolant leak and oil leak. Took it to a shop got it tuned afterwards ran fine for alittle some months after that it started shaking and turning off when idled. Sadly after that I gave it away and got a 2004 Monte Carlo supercharged.
This is a rare find and so clean! Even though it’s not a VR4 thing looks sweet. There are only a hand full here on island. Love the content bro
Thanks I appreciate it!
Man, This thing is beautiful and beautiful condition. Definitely too good to daily but worth it in dry weather. Happy for you Bro. Time for that other daily 🙊
Thanks man and haha my wife would kill me if I started hoarding cars. I’ll need a bigger garage
Love the pop-up headlight
Just subscribed can’t wait to see all the 3k content
Thanks bro!
I love the 3000gt / GTO. My favourite car from the 90s!
Same here
Man today I saw one on the road today when I saw it it was so clean and cool looking and now I’m obsessed with them
I’m picking up a mint 1995 3000gt with 116000 miles tomo in Florida and driving it back to Connecticut! Good luck with yours man
Congrats brother def a big fan of the 3000gt..shes clean man👌👌..always have been a big fan my self...Stoked for you, perfect everyday driver. doesnt have to be a vr4 and this car is so unmolested.its great..throw some super clean wheels and suspension on, call it a day...maybe some rotors and what not..🤙🤙
Yes exactly...I’m going to try to refresh parts that need it but ultimately I want to keep it as unmolested as possible
Had a 92' VR-4 in 2006 and it was a blast to drive!
That’s awesome!!!
Wow.. Very clean car.. and also my dream car.. you're so lucky having this car in mint condition.. congrats to you.. wish i have this car..
If you ever need parts for it, there's a guy locally to me named Scott Miller. He has parts for days and sends them all over the world.
So clean bro for a car like that. I’d say just keep it mostly oem and keep the oem parts for anything you do change. It’s a daily and like you said most of these cars have been modified to a good extent so it’s somewhat rare to find something like this. Thanks for another great video.
Thanks I appreciate it 💯💯
Nice ride man , I’ve always been a fan
Thanks man!
He just took a shot at me for listening to the radio 😂
Super dope car though. There is only one 3000GT in my area and it is always nice to see it
Sorry haha. I got tired of annoying local commercials about auto accident lawyers and used car dealers 😄
Love it! So clean stock
💯💯
Very clean I love mine
This is now my fav car it looks so good
Awesome... I had the 1991 3000 GT SL and 1993 3000GT SL.. awesome car
Great looking car and awesome find!
Know this is about a year old now but I bet the antenna staying up is related somehow to the aftermarket stereo install. I have the same car except '94 (revised body but same car mechanically) with the OEM stereo. Antenna should only go up when car is running and AM/FM is turned on. If you turn the stereo on and it was last set to Aux input, the antenna stays down and will only pop up when switched to AM/FM. Antenna should go down when either 1.) car is turned off or 2.) stereo is turned off with car still running. Only way it should stay up without AM/FM turned on is if you have AM/FM on and then switch to Aux, the antenna will stay up until either car or stereo is turned off. I keep mine on Aux pretty much all the time so the antenna virtually never pops up when car is running.
I love my '94 base 3000GT. I also have a slight preference for the gen 1 (thru '93) body style but the gen 2 has grown on me too. I bought my gen 2 in 2018 when I stumbled on it for a good deal: 100% factory / unmodified, low miles ~60k, and only $4k purchase price - catch is it was a rebuilt title but I found pics from the previous auction showing the damage was fairly minor and you can't tell looking at the body after rebuild - can see it slightly when crawling under the car, but nothing bad and it drives fine.
I always loved the 3000GT as a kid too and wanted one. I don't care about going fast so the base model is fine for me. I don't daily drive it but I split daily duties between it and a truck, plus I work from home so it only gets maybe 3k miles / year. Love the 3000's!
It’s so mint!!
absolutely beautiful
Wow! I am 23 and this is STILL my dream car to this day!
Grats on the car man I've also loved these since I was a kid , I learned how to drive stick on a 91 vr4 owned 2 dodge stealth rt I would so daily another
i'm impressed that an old lady drove this 5 speed manual.
Congrats.... the car is awesome!
Thanks Steve!
The dohc non turbos have tons of life! My 94 3000 gt has 278k miles and I drive it over 1200 miles a week. Completely stock besides wheels and radio.
Only reason I swapped out wheels is due to bending one really bad In Atlanta. Gotta love college park pot holes.
I drive a 94 as well. 250k miles and it's my daily. Only problem I'm running into right now is I believe the rings are worn out. It smokes on takeoff after sitting at red lights and stop signs. Other than that, everything else works.
That’s awesome, thinking about getting one
Fun car to drive and turns a lot of heads
Sick!
NICE CAR. I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED A DODGE STEALTH BUT I HAVE OWNED 3 TALONS, 1 1996 % 2 1997'S BACK IN THE DAY.
One of my favorites car.. Keep it oem please❤️
I like my manual 1995 3kgt red as well with 256000 miles on it, and runs sooo nice smooth , its rare car to see on streets, and, people , cool , yours look very nice
Living the dream
Clean SL!
Awesome daily man! Keep it Japanese! Haha.
The engine log book as a maintenance file is genius though. As a complete and total aviation nerd that struck a chord haha, just ordered one for my Skyline!
Hahah awesome! Yeah super good idea and I’m going to keep it going
Love the car, I have a 93' vr-4 in Fiji blue. They are really fun cars but can be expensive to maintain sometimes
That's what made me buy one. The movie "the hit list," with Jeff Fahey.
Sweet🤩
Cool 3000GT. About the only things I would do to it is maintainance things and maybe tint the windows.
Hi Capt. Hope you can do more videos featuring 3000gt. :)
Nice!!
It looks like you can replace that outdated head unit with a double din. Nice find! Also, eastside detailing makes an excellent sew-in steering cover!
Good to know and yes, been looking at double dins with BT 🤙🏻
Just bought a Fuji blue 3000gt Sl (1 of 250) this year over in Michigan that’s just like yours single owner since 92’ and in mint unmolested condition
Wow dope video bro! Car looks great and a great deal on it too! Mic sounds good also! 😎
Thanks bro and thanks for making it rain on me on the premiere
@@CaptTwo6If it was a VR-4, it would be worth alot of money ie $15000-$20000!! VR-4 is my farovite! Galant VR-4 is like the Evolution! I am thinking about buying a VR-4 Legnum wagon but I already owned a ARISTO V300 with a 2jz-te! Nothing will beat a 2jz-gte!!!
My favorite car would be a JZX100 Chaser or Cresta or Mark 2!!! 1jz-gte with manual tranny!!! But I like the 2jz-gte engine the most!!!
You can put a VR-4 engine from a Mitsubishi GTO! It then becomes a VR-4!
Another alternative would be an engine from Dodge Steath TT!
There's a car exactly like this for sale in my country. I have to buy it.
Great great pickup.🔥 I’ve been following all your vids from when you were in Japan. I just got stationed here and I’m still trying to figure out what I want to get.
Congrats and I miss it. I always say get something sooner than later because prices go up quick
@@CaptTwo6 thank you. And honestly I’m trying to but I just got out here and I’m currently in Sasebo so i don’t really know about any places out here. But I’ve been definitely watching your vids about some places located in Japan and they definitely have some of my dream cars for really cheap here.
The first gens are the best looking of them. Glad you got it man... lucky bastard! I'd love to put some gunmetal advan RS wheels on it
Hahaha yeah I love the OG look of the first gen. I’ve been considering some wheels 👀
Awesome
no way i LOVE thus car
Nice daily, I agree keeping it bone stock will help if u ever decide to sell it. Yes it is mint condition for a 29 year old car. 👍
Very nice car one of my favorite 90s car
Les gooooooo !!
That car is mint!
I have one and I have to say it’s a great car I love it
Wow! Niccccceeee!
I think I only ever seen one 3000gt on the road here near me in PA. Mitsubishi 3000gt and Nissan 300zx are forgotten legends from the 90s.
I know it's been a year, but I stopped by my local sonic in my 94 3000gt and a 300zx drove right past me. I almost had an aneurysm.😂
Love these 3000GT or GTO here in Europe really looks good
The Pod gauges on the dash style came from the 240Z Datsun.
Nice Mitsubishi line up! I’m also the 3rd owner of a 94 Sl Basically just with a K&N intake and audio system. Gonna add some 17” wheels. But keeping exhaust, steering wheel stock is a great idea
And You really do get compliments as if you’re driving a Ferrari 🤣
Ive gotten so many compliments and people asking me about it when I’m at a stop light haha. Breaks more necks than the RHD Evo out here 😂
I live in canada, never been in a 3000gt but i knew a guy who used to have a dodge stealth with all wheel steering and the V6, really awesome car, he used to BEAT the absolute shit out of it and do donuts every time we went for a drive. Sick cars
Wow dual over head cam nice
As a daily driver the best is the sohc base . That motor will run forever . My 97 has 68k miles now . But have owned 3kgts and stealths
I bought a 91 200k mile 3000GT SL for 3000$ as a winter daily and it works great. Looks and rides great after i put some cheapo ebay coilovers and wheels on it.
Such a lucky guy
I have a 98 base model (I believe you have a SL edition, mine 12 valves).... Same situation, bought with 141K miles in 2019 and cant be any happier with the car. I have opposite as the weekend car, drive it once a week... Driven it Atlanta to Miami a couple times only reason miles close to 157K now. Let me see if email you as much as i like it, Im no spring chicen anymore so considering selling it. I live ATL too.
There might be a special switch for the antenna. You need to keep it in for the washing gerage. The Subaru SVX has such a special switch.
9:40 the first and probably only mod I would do if I ever get one is put a Bluetooth system in it, nothing tacky. Just something that lets me use bluetooth
Mitsu lover represent!!!
💯💯💯
That make nice delete kits for the antenna and rear windshield wiper.
I drove one of these things as my first car over the summer and I loved it. The seats were so comfortable that my friends preferred sitting in my car than anyone else’s.
Merry Christmas!!!
Merry Xmas and happy soon to be 2021!
GTO!!!
I love this car:)
Avicii_Lover it’s not a gto. Gto are rhd awd
@@jonathangonzales4011 oh. sorry
Holy shit that one looks so mint
