Motorola, and Nokia are my 2 main goto brands for budget bangers, as the most I've ever spent on a phone was for a custom back Moto G3 at $330 USD as I was doing good at my job that year, and wanted to treat myself. I normally keep my budget to $250ish or less.

My wife just got one of these. Honestly, for 90% of people, it's just fine. I am typing this on my older G7 Optimo Maxx, which is essentially just the G7 Power. Even it meets my needs (until I dropped it in water and the speaker stopped working today), and this new version is so much better than what I have.
The battery life on these phones will change your life for the better. No more hunting around for an outlet all the time.

Moto knocked it out of the park with the 2020 moto g power and then they absolutely ruined the 2021 model and apparently the 2022. I'm still rocking my 2020 though and it's quite nice, only reason I would have to upgrade would be falling prey to something shiny and new but I'm holding off for now.

I have the Moto G 2020, and I agree, mine is still getting over 2 days of battery, and it's been a great phone to have in pocket, and I've been a Moto G series fan since the original Moto G, but if this is how they are going to keep the line going, then I think I might be moving over to Nokia, as I recently bought a Nokia T20 tablet, and it's been fantastic for its price point.

I have a G Power 2022, and have been flogging it for two days. Despite the Mediately processor, it is more capable of multitasking than the Pixel 3a - which was a shock. My typical game is The Grand Mafia - which is doing Governor's War - which is hard on phones. It didn't bog or overheat - which can't be said for a lot of phones; in fact, the Pixel 3a had issues with it. While the stock Android is not the latest, this is true of a lot of budget phones - and Android 12 is available for it - just not stock.

This phone is a great budget phone, but one issue, without a case it is horrible. From my personal experience, I only dropped it a few inches from the ground and that was enough to crack it. The plastic shell is also very weak, so don't be like me and please buy a protector and case for an extra couple of dollars.

What I don't like about Motorola is that only provide one major Android version update. This phone came with Android 11, not Android 12. This means will it get Android 12 but not Android 13. Also, they don't include NFC on their cheaper phones where as other OEMS do

The moto g power 2022 is a minimalist's dream. Just bought this phone unlocked for all carriers even Verizon from the Motorola site for $129.99. for that kind of money for 64gig onboard storage, expandable memory, 4 gig of ram, and a 90 hertz refresh rate most other phones in this price range are half that storage and only 3 gig of ram. Top that off with that amazing battery life and a 3.5mm jack it's a steal. The fingerprint reader on the back is also a huge plus, much more accurate and responsive than in screen readers. It has been updated to Android 12.

It's a combination of Moto and Lenovo - remember when Moto acquired Lenovo's tablet division? I had a Lenovo Android tablet; the issue was not the interface, but the odd hardware. The G Power has a Moto-branded interface based on the Lenovo ThinkPad.It's got some slick tricks not normally present on this end of the pricing scale. the tethering setup is actually plug and play - all the controls are on the phone end, You can still use the phone AS A PHONE while tethered - gaming and all.

But it rarely stutters with my daily use.

Lenovo Moto dropped the ball twice. Both the Stylus and Power should be skipped and maybe next year, Moto will make better phones. BTW, Mediatek does make great processors in the form of Dimensity series. Lenovo Moto should've put the Dimensity 700 or 800 series. It would've been a big step in the right direction. Instead, Moto took a giant step backwards.

I have the Moto G Stylus 2021 and it's fantastic, but just so heavy with such a dim screen, barely visible in any amount of sunlight. Still a really solid phone/specs all around though, but the upcoming Moto Edge 2022 looks infinitely better though since we'll finally have a lightweight (6oz) Moto phone again. With how heavy their phones are, I realized I care a lot about weight - Moto Power 2022 is 7.1 oz, Stylus 2021 is 7.6 oz, they just feel so massive in a pocket (though I guess I could just get a holster.) But on the other hand, both the Pro Max and S22 Ultra are over 8oz, so I have a feeling phones will continue to be heavier in general.

4GB Of Ram Is Low? It's Not Especially For A $200 Phone I Own An iPhone 8 and the 2021 G Power (would have bought the 2020 power if I could've found one) and my iPhone 8 if I try playing more demanding games it says this device does not have enough memory to play this while on my g power I don't get that at all so 4GB of ram is not low but really disappointed Motorola downgraded again with the Processor at least the 662 was some what of an upgrade in some departments anyway and I really wish they at least brought back the 1080p Display because I know the Helio G37 is capable of outputting 1080p but Motorola is just too lazy to do it the only real upgrade here is probably the 90hz display other than that it's more of a downgrade again if anything if anyone is looking to buy this just go with last year's g power it's way faster and has a bigger display but if you can find the 2020 g power just buy that like even the cheapest Motorola phone from last year (Moto G Play) is faster than this

Motorola has managed to turn the North American G Power into a massive joke. Seriously, when you have the older lower tier G's like 2020 G Fast and G Play (2021) garnering better Geekbench scores than the latest G Power makes one really question their sense of direction. Then they introduce their new low tier "G", Moto G Pure, that's even more worse off than all three with its MediTek Helio G25 processor. Personally Motorola phone's no longer garner my interest whatsoever not even their more premium one's as there the support doesn't come close to matching the price of admission.

i could not imagine anyone buying this and it really is scrapping the barrel. If you can, especially the US get a Pixel 5a on a deal. In the UK it has been as low as £350 and I will pay the extra as long term it will pay you back (longer updates, better cameras and battery life, 5G, etc).

They’re nice for a year or 2 but quickly start showing their age and why theyre so cheap to begin with.

Can't live without OLED. I wonder if they could have charged 250 with OLED? Would have been a real good deal.

My worthless POS Moto G Power 2020 ridiculous cell does not send photos. After I purchased it, the photos would send just perfect. Now after 2 fking months, it does not send photos. I went to the place where I purchased it and the dude tells me it's a known problem with these phones. What an inconvenience. I work at a place where I have to take photos of any graffiti or damage done to the property and report it ASAP to the manager, and now I have to buy a different phone? I just spent more than $200. What a complete piece of crap this damn phone is. I HATE THIS FKING COMPANY!

If you are on WiFi when trying to do SMS/MMS then turn off your WiFi as it can interfere with the cellular radios, It's not just Motorola, I've had it happen over the years on a few different brands also going into airplane mode, wait 1 min, then take your phone out of airplane mode can sometimes work as well. Seems to be more of an Android quark than anything else.

A Moto G Power has NO power for 2022 as it only has 5000 mAh. For claiming _power_ in 2022 it should have 6000/7000 mAh and it would need a faster SoC...
So hopefully no one will buy!
5000 mAh is nothing more than standard in 2022.
