We love goulash! This is very similar to mine (also my mom’s). I don’t bake it however we top with cheese in the Dutch oven and cover for a few minutes. Thrilled you are back!

I make my goulash the very same way. I just dont bake it. We place on plate with shredded cheese and let it melt right there. Although that goulash looks amazing, my eyes instantly went to the beets...YUM Did you can those?
My husbands mother, who is no longer with us, made goulash, which my husband loved. They didnt use sausage but hamburger and no cheese.... it is basically spaghetti with macaroni noodles. Yours looks better to me. I might try it but i cant call it goulash! Ha ha

My mom is from Maine and also called it American Chop Suey. She didn’t put cheese on top or bake it either but she did put diced green peppers in it.
