Beautiful guitar! Very nice picking, too! I know White Oak was used in a lot of older small bodied guitars, but I've never seen a dreadnaught out of it. Don't know why more builders don't use it. It is a beautiful and plentiful North American wood, and in the right hands makes a wonderful instrument.
I almost built an oak 000 years ago…but ended up doing a black walnut dread (still my main guitar 30 years on). North American woods are highly underrated. Love the Lightfoot cover. Soon to get David’s crew at Gallagher to build me some guitars.
Great guitar! Bass kicker! I don’t know-but would guess oak is tough to bend without problems. Super job, Allen, on, “If You Could Read My Mind”. First I’ve ever heard the entire song melody played, but hey, I live in a cave…
What sustain it has and it really bass I like the mahogany guitars for there clarity but I am amazed at the oak guitars I have see that are way better than I would have ever thought

Nice loud ring to it. I hope to try an Edmonds someday.

That is St. Anne's Reel.
I’ve wondered what pick you’re using?
I use a Blue Chip TD45 almost exclusively these days.
