On April 26th, 2024, I caught and followed a BNSF local around Brenham, Texas, ultimately catching it using the ancient Blue Bell Industrial Lead!

Thanks for documenting this activity. I've seen this line on Google Maps and was curious about it's operation. You just don't think of an ice cream factory receiving stuff by the car load.
You know, as I watch videos like this, I can't help but wonder why railfans have such a bad reputation among railroad employees? I can't imagine why that is...

The rail is old but far from rickety. That line is relatively well maintained. As far as the track circuit, it looks like only the island circuit is active and the trains should treat the crossing as such. Finally, one of the more interesting features is the lift frog crossing where the branch intersects the main. That local trains flanges actually roll on and over the main line railhead
