Are the two of you professional photographers? You have the absolute best sailing videos on RUclips, and we watch all of the best sailors as they circumnavigate the world. Your work is amazing! We will keep watching!!
Another great video. Thank you for not being your typical RUclips cruising couple where it's all about them. My journalism teacher called it "I trouble." Many are afflicted these days. Stay mysterious. Glad to see you have a proper anchor. We used the same one on our 43 footer. You will appreciate it when everyone else with CQRs are dragging past you in the fluffy coral sand. Brandon, Oceanus
Oh yeah!!! Please don’t stop indulging yourselves in your fantastic adventure! But, if you can keep sharing it, I for one, would be grateful. I am a seasoned sailor, and sofa sailor, and I love your shares!!! I would welcome as much as you can muster without compromising yourselves! Fair winds and following seas.
It's fantastic to see you guys living your dream. This is our dream too, and it gives us hope that you guys are making it happen. We are still in the saving money and fitting out the boat stage. Are you guys planning on South Pacific after Mexico? Your boat is a work of art, a true seaman's dream.
Just another excellent video! You certainly had a good passage down the coast. I am looking forward to your Mexico adventures! Sail on! Can't wait for more!
Just found your channel, great video. It was nice seeing someone else's view of my cruising ground. Glad you liked Cuyler Harbor on San Miguel Island, it is my favorite of the chain of islands.
I just found your channel! Love the videos and narrative. As an east coast sailor it is very cool to watch your journey down south and then hang a right!
Glad ya made it to California…I’ve an Old Friend that spent about a year in the Sea of Cortez in their Boat…They loved it…Hoping the same for You…Continue to Stay Safe & Enjoy😎
Wow, wonderful blog, thanks for sharing. Julia looks absolutely bristol (fabulous). Well done! You have already seen more dolphins than I saw in 4x that length of passage in the pacific. You are blessed. I covet your sewing machine. Looks like a great job on the roller furling conversion.
Following your cruises to catch up on those I never got to do. Really looking forward to sharing just how I would have loved to do it in my 39ft teak decked schooner bow cutter 30 years ago. Thank you for this video approach to cruising. Just perfect. ❤️❤️& ❤️ for taking dad on some of the legs💫
I am new subscriber and my compliments regarding your vessel and your adventure. I also own an older vessel (1965 Pearson Vanguard) and I am very curious about all of the lines running on your boat. Some of the original working rigging on my boat has been changed out and I am in the process to returning it to the original rigging style (really just a few simple changes) and I would like to ask if you can do a short video (not to bore everyone) and explain how your vessel is rigged. I can pick out the obvious stuff, but I am not sure about a lot of it. Many thanks! Keep up the great content. My boat is among the first fiberglass one and I am now (maybe) wishing it was wooden? Not sure but you have done a fantastic job restoring her. Much respect!
Next time you're around Santa Barbara stop by the maritime museum.. seen a video on sailing vessel mig channel. Him and his friend stopped by there not expecting much but they were shocked and i enjoyed seeing it on video.. its a pretty cool place..
Just a polite correction the porpoises you mention are in fact dolphins. There are specific differences, the dolphins swimming around your bow are quite lean, with a hooked or curved dorsal fin and lastly tend to have elongated “beaks” or snout. Porpoises are generally more portly, short flippers and a stubbier shorter triangular dorsal fin, not to mention no beak. Love the sailing and the sites - safe passage.
Hey guys, Just enjoyed your southern coastal segment, awesome..! Beautiful boat and you visited most of my favorite spots in the Channel Islands. I lived in SB Harbor for a couple years way back when. As coincidence would have it, we met you both in my home town Avalon just a couple weeks ago. I believe it was on a Monday evening. I have a few great photos and can share if you're interested. Enjoy Baja and the Sea of Cortez, it's a treat that keeps on giving! Take care and Happy Sailing to you both, Steve & Sharon..:)
Nice boat! We were just in SF, based in LA. There are some great vineyards around Ensenada, if you're into it. You're going to love the Sea of Cortez, especially if you like human/sealife interaction. Don't miss La Paz!
I’m really enjoying this video series! I am curious about one particular thing - you started out from Seattle wearing floatation devices when out on deck. By the time you reached So Cal, you were no longer wearing them. Why the change?
We try to avoid marinas when possible. We anchored in Richardsons Bay, at Angel Island, and at Aquatic Park, but we didn't stay at any marinas in the bay. At other places where there is no anchorage or it is super exposed we sprung for a slip.

Enjoy your videos! Thanks for sharing your adventure. A video tour of your sailboat would be great, along with info about her. Beautiful boat.
Julia is beautiful and so is her crew. Thank you for sharing the moments.

These videos are Really great, and relaxing as well…!! 😎👏👌👍
We would love to see how the interior of the sailboat turned out in detail, let's wait.
Love your video . Beautiful boat , Ingrid ?
Yes, a wooden Ingrid, built in 1960.

Love the scene at 16:50 where Julia is moored at Catalina, the only boat with wooden masts!

I think it was Mark Twain who said the coldest winter he ever experienced was a summer in San Fransisco.
You found a good up-load connection in Polynesia? Have fun!
The coldest winter I ever experienced was one July in San Francisco!
Mark Twain said the coldest winter he ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.
Would love to have a look at the interior of the yacht
Hey guys - great videos. Can I ask what type of dinghy that is?
❤❤❤

The Channel Islands are of the coast of France. What rout did you use to cross the Pond to reach Mexico?
😎😎😎
What time of the year did you leave Noah Bay and what time of the year is this journey down the California coast?
What brand of skin on frame boat do you have? I have looked at numerous plans on line but most don't offer a sailing type

@@MadisonBoatworks Thank You. I thought it might be. Love your show. Travel safe.

Shouldn’t it have been, “cutting the luff off of OUR very expensive jib”?
Yes it should have!
