1) RF adaptor, tune to a specific FM station. 2) Cassette adaptor. 3) There are some adaptors available for direct hook up. Adaptors are listed in order of worst to best sound.

Hi, I have a 2006 lexus gs300 and my cd changer door will not go all the way up, i have to get a credit card and help the cd door raise up to eject or inject my cd's. will diconnecting the battery for 15 minutes solve my problem or do i have to send it in?
Is the fuse for the CD player separate from the radio fuse? I removed a unit that wouldn't load disc. The lights wouldn't come on. The replacement unit has the same problem. The radio still works. Could it be a fuse issue?
I've got spill damage on my 2010 GS450h w/ Mark Levinson Not much either, my wife spilt a very small amount of coffee that got into the CD, AUX, AM,FM, buttons. Anyways, now I'm getting audio off and I can't turn it on, screen and everything else works fine just no power at the head unit (back lights don't come on either) all 3 fuses are good, help!

I have the same exact car, and for some reason my radio and cd player works, but no sound comes out the stereo?
Is it possible to remove the lower unit and install an aftermarket unit in it?

Checking fuses is a good idea. Check owner's manual for location of ALL fuse panels.

Disconnecting the battery is always a good idea before thinking of repair. However, I don't believe it will help in this case, repair is needed.

Holy cow, disconnect your battery first. And don't pull those connectors out by the wires!
