but what's the issue with the handoffs for phone calls. People call and the only way I can hear them is if I touch my Iphone speaker and converse from that point. What's up with that? 2015 gx 460

Lol no problem, my issue ended up being a defective AMP which I swapped out and audio was restored.
same issue just came up in my 2015 GX 460. 30 on the volume seems to be the "stay away from volume" b/c if you try to get near or exceed it, I lose all audio and volume control from all sources. The only way to get it back is to stop and restart the truck. Even then, the audio may only play for a few minutes to a couple seconds and audio is lost again. Everything I'm reading is pointing to the Mark Levinson amplifier. This is obviously a very expensive problem and not easily resolved. I've seeing there is a company in NY called United Radio that you can send the amplifier to for repair but it's in the $650 range which is completely insane. Expensive vehicles equals expensive problems unfortunately.
I agree replacement of the AMP will solve it but the AMPs are expensive, even online. And as you stated, the price of a repair is near the same price of a used one. I would likely go with a repair shop that can do the repair with a warranty.

Mine was the same I couldn't turn it past 23 and that erked me. Now my screen just says Lexus and goes off. I can check info and temp controls.
I read when you disconnect battery or change the radio out the Lexus. You have to be careful. Cause the sometimes have to reset before you disconnect or some shit. My Lexus doing the same shit 😂 I been reading a lot of different stuff. Trying figure out whats going on.
What did you do when the radio showed “audio off” and the am/fm didn’t respond? I saw your part 2 and that issue was fixed but didn’t see the solution

I sent my amp to OEM Auto Audio Inc in Manlius, NY and they fixed it quickly and I've been good since.

I had the same problem on my 2008 GS 350 where the balance was set to the rear right and treble and bass were all the way up and there was no sound. bought a used amp off eBay and it worked!
So wait? If my bass and balance aint wheres it supposed to , all i gotta do is adjust it and itll work? I just got my new amp from ebay today

Hey. I have a problem in my lexus gs450h 2007, when I turn it up to 45-50 volume, it makes crackle noise and turns off, I lower the volume to 40 and it works perfectly, what might be the problem?
Amp is overheating at those levels due to hardware defect possible from moisture over the course of years. I would purchase a replacement AMP soon.

Sorry to hear, I would replace the AMP with either re-man or used replacement. However when you have it reinstalled, see if you can leave the amp somewhere inside the trunk but not in it's original location.
My volume and my touchscreen don't work when in the radio function. When in navigation the touchscreen works fine. What is the issue?

Only the radio function doesn’t work because the computer blocks it can’t detect the amp
I’m having this same problem with my 2011 is250. I replaced the amp with an oem one from eBay but I still have the same problem.

Just got a 2008 lexus is250 few days ago the volume on the radio wasn't working and I went to a audio shop in eden and he said he couldn't do nothing with my car...My dad found a car audio shop in greensboro called Todd electronic radio we took it there and the guy said all the wires including Amp was all messed up and he had to rewire the entire cars audio a 900$ fix!!!
Did you notice on 6:26 this guy put the fuse on the wrong place. He didn’t put it back where he took it from. I have replayed this

AMP malfunctioned likely from moisture, replace the amp and your good to go.

@@Kevo1818 I unplugged mine and and sprayed both the amp ports and the car ports with electrical spray cleaner and plugged them back in and it’s been working fine.

Hopefully you were able to resolve your issue by now. Lexus needs to put these AMPs in a better location to protect from humid.

Yeah I would definitely swap out the OEM amp for a used one. You can get them around $125 from eBay.

I have a 2014 es300h with a similar issue. My radio hasn't worked for months and I don't what to do. No one seems to know what how to fix it. Don't know what else to do. HELP!!!
I would recommend that you check your radio/amp fuses and then replace the AMP. You would need to confirm which AMP model you have and check a site like eBay for a replacement.

My '06 is250 has sound on everything, aux, fm, except cd, it even plays cd and changes the cd's but there is no sound.

I hear my navigation talking to so the speaker work but the radio/casset player doesn't work
If you can hear sound but have no function from the radio, I would replace your Radio fuses are shown in this video. If that does not resolve the issue then I would look at replacing the AMP as it can also play a role in this issue.
Which Lexus do you have?
@@AWordFromMrJones an 02 ls430, I wouldn't think it's the amp right? If the amp doesn't work that means there should be no sound? I'm guessing it's the headunit also, and for my wallets and sanitys sake I hope it's not the amp
Man, I have a 2007 lexus IS250, came across the same issue. Thought it was the amp, Until I found out that the car radio doesn’t work when it’s in “drive” but comes on and works perfectly when it’s in “park”. Bizarre!
Hmm, that's quite interesting. I would check the radio fuses and replace any fuse that look suspect.

Try disconnecting the battery again and reconnect it. It may just need to reboot properly

I have a 2015 Gs350 with 40k miles!!! and same dam crap. No sound from the radio. I pulled the Amp out and it can't be the problem. My Amp is in MINT CONDITION. 😢😢
Unfortunately it's possible that the amp is defective unit. You could price replacing any radio fuses to see if that might help. Even disconnecting the battery for a few minutes might also help reset any electronics.
However in my case my amp was defective due to previous build up of moisture. I would search around online for an used amp if you can find a reputable place. A new AMP would be pricey but it would be worth the end result chance.
It would be even better if you can find the amp at an junk yard or Facebook market if someone has a "for parts" car. Hope you find a solution.

Dang it…. I have a 2015 NX with no sound as well. I had no issue the day of, turned the car off, when i turned it back on to leave there was no sound. Is it normal for an amplifier to go out without any signs?! Could it be a ground wire issue?

LOL, it's a pain in the rear but I got 3 videos to cover everything. You may have to end up purchasing a replacement AMP. The Lexus IS250/350 is costly but there is an alternative AMP which is cheaper. You will find more information in video part 3.

I'm sorry to hear that. Typically that's going to be a sign of a bad navigation screen. Check eBay for a replacement or your local junk yard.

Yeah sounds like you may have but replacing the amp resolved my issue. Another Lexus owner had mentioned they cleaned their AMP and was good too and another said they had theirs professionally repaired. Hope you find a solution.
