farfa the type of guy to say "odd eyes isnt a pendulum deck" because it passes on vortex
now, to be fair: revolution, vortex, and maybe performapal synchron are the only odd-eyes names worth remembering
@@kingvelard what about monkeyboard
EDIT: for some reason my mind replaced Odd-Eyes with Perfomapals, lol.
@@davidjimenez3822they work together.
Well tbf, Lunalight is a fusion strategy, but it can be used as a great xyz spam deck so you can cut it both ways
its either which cards the deck predominantly ends on, or which ones it uses to make its board
@@kingvelard I mean, there is also Gravity Dragon, who goes from Tax Dragon into the best Floodgate in the game.
D/D/D is a pendulum deck as 90% of your monsters are in fact pendulum monsters. Just like trif summon 10 billion negates with extra deck monsters by way of pend summoning, D/D/D gets to their end board by way of gilgamesh set scales and pend summon :).
also ddd does have main deck pend bosses theyre just pepe bad
@@beegyoshi1685 They come from the anime where the Boss monster trait is BIG NUMBAH!!!
Prior to the release of the Link they definitely weren't. You never pendulum summoned. You would use Xyz, Fusion, Synchro, and Link, and the deck was filled with pendulums, but you didn't use the pendulum mechanic in the sense most decks do.
It was as much a pendulum deck as Masked Heroes were a fusion deck. So depends on how you define it.
@@mophead1666but they are now and were represented in the show as such
Dommy/Demon/Daddy Deus is also a pend monster
Rikka is absolutely an XYZ deck, it's the only mechanic Rikka themselves have
Sunavalon is the Link deck here
funnily enough, while it is less efficient, a pure rikka deck can play around extra deck locks like dimensional barrier and scythe, the high level main deck monsters have high enough attack to contest a lot of monsters and have strong enough negates with princess and hellebore/tytannial plus konkon and sheet, obviously it's not as strong as the sunavalon variant, but it's decent.
this, while it is optimal to play Sunavalon Rikka, I refuse to use ugly trees with my flower spirits waifu deck.
@@kurokagutsuchi67agreed! Rikkas do not need the silly seed to be good
@@kurokagutsuchi67the trees are pretty what are you talking about
The fact that nobody put hungry burger archetype as their favorite ritual deck truly saddens my heart
The question is can we play in in TCG and master duel yet? If not that would be why
@@Omega_1306 TCG yes, MD not
NOUVELLEZ goes hard when your opponent doesn't read. All they have to do is not attack, not target monsters, place things, and negate.
Archetype is so sick, has some very decent value potential and is actually surprisingly good at making chaos angel 😂
I did, but i'm not in the video xD
To be fair for D/D/D, it has every summoning type except for Rituals and it goes through all of them for the combo.
Lunalight, however, isn't a Pendulum deck, seeing as how it only has one viable Pendulum card. It's more of a Fusion deck.
The other pend isn’t bad… because it’s miracle fusion.
That's a really good argument, but unfortunately Lunalight Wolf is inside your walls
Wolf is a 3 of in CC tho
How else would I make Leo dancer?
There's a simple answer to this, if your deck consistently pend summons in it's combos, you're a pend deck. Lunalight does not pend summon, Plunder does not pend summon, D/D/D however does.
@@Capta1nTD ^ this. the lunalight scales can be continous spells and barely anything changes
D/D/D was released during Arc V. The Pendulum summoning series FARFA! It's a Pendulum deck FARFA! Rabble rabble rabble...
Remember this is only Farfa's opinion, it doesn't actually hold any real mean...
"Anyone who says Drytron is their favorite Ritual deck is wrong." - Farfa
Your honor, I would like to retract my previous statement.
I mean I never liked it, but they do look cool, its the matter of "do you actually play Drytron or Herald turbo?"
3:46 imagine logging into master duel on release and your opponent used block dragon to add fossil dyna and to make 3+ negates
Clueless
Frankly I'd prefer to get Heralded or Bongo'd then Block Dragoned
Farfa was right about D/D PRIOR to their Link Monster. Which facilitated pendulum summoning for the deck. Before then it was rare for the deck to pendulum summon, even if they played many pendulum monsters. The Link monster just straight up gives them scales.
Nowadays they definitely are though.
You Mean Prior to their Structure Deck.
@@danielramsey6141 No I mean what I said. When the structure deck came out, Copernicus and Kepler were your high and low scales. The issue is, you almost never end up using them in the scales because their on field effects are much better.
The other scales (Oblivion King, Thomas) are basically useless for the deck as scales, and you're usually popping them or summoning them from the scale (Oblivion King with his own effect, Meteorburst Dragon, or Thomas popping). This also means you rarely have two monsters in the scale, because they don't have the floating in the way pendulum decks do when they're popped.
Basically the only time you would pendulum summon is if you were making an extremely suboptimal play, or you somehow got into some insane grind game where you have get Kepler back with Thomas Effect, which can theoretically get you a free Oblivion King...
You know why that never happens? Because Oblivion King is usually in the grave because you use him for Rank 8 plays, so... Yeah.
Hope I made my point. Structure Deck era D/D/D is one of my all time favorites, but no, you never pendulum summon.
Ritual = Dogmatika
Fusion = Thunder Dragons
XYZ = Tellarknights
Synchro = Krystron (if it was playable)
Link = Pure Tenyi
Pen[REDACTED] = My lawyer advised me not to follow through with my statement.
Tellarknight gang pogchamp, Tellarknight gang pogchamp.
normal summon Danny set 3 is the only way!
Ritual = Demise/Ruin
Fusion = Lunalight
XYZ = Constellar (i see you are a person of good taste)
Synchro = Fabled
Link = Unchained
Pendulum: May try Qli
Ritual=IoC>Soul>Masterplan
Fusion=Runick
Synchro=Timelord
Xyz=Numeron
Pend=5-Rainbow Magician
Link=Tri-Brigade
:)
Gonna jump the bandwagon here.
Ritual: Nekroz (I never played Ritual)
Fusion: Ancient Gear
XYZ: Traptrix
Synchro: Speedroid
Link: Sky Striker
Triff: Qliphort
Ritual = Vendread, the coolest archetype that would be stronger with less text in the cards.
Fusion = Alphabet Dragon Cannon and friends
XYZ = Traptrix, 😭 [Redacted] it's just labrynth but fair which is unfortunate...
Synchro = AFD Field Spell Roulette
Link = Knightmare Phoenix, Knightmare Unicorn, Accesscode and a 3k Beater
Pendulum = Anchamoufrite
Drytron without the herald stuff is extremely based and probably the most fun i had with a deck.
Megatron is Yu-Gi-Oh crack and I'll never forgive Bystials
Drytron Cydra is a hilarious deck to run. Comboing like crazy with Drytrons, then dropping a truly colossal Eltanin followed up by Cyberload Fusion into Overdragon for Unga Bunga is great fun.
Heralds watching everyone and their mother blame Drytron for the first MD format is like Austro-Hungarians watching the world blame Germany for WW1.
Drytrons enabled the stupid Herald bosses. They weren't a problem until their cards were printed. It's 100% Drytron's fault.
@@julianchrobak-prince1915 Heralds had no futureproofing whatsoever and are a nearly Infernity-tier case study of why once-per-turn is extremely important in card design. Rituals do not deserve to be permanently useless as a mechanic purely to excuse Heralds' mistake.
A modern DDD deck will have 8 different pendulum monsters, and only 3-4 non pendulums.
Like DDD has been a pendulum deck for quite a while.
Indeed, I mean, the main boss IS a pendulum monster, and works surprisingly well as a pendulum card, There's been times when it's pendulum effect actually saved me.
As someone who plays D/D, I'd put it as favorite pendulum deck only because it's the only deck I play that uses pendulums. I know that the deck does almost all mechanics, but I'd still put it as favorite pendulum. As for my other favorites. Fluffals for fusion, Synchron for synchro, Galaxy for xyz. As for ritual and link don't have one cause I don't play anything where those are a primary mechanic. Mainly just use archetype links and things that help the deck like cross sheep for fluffals.
anime enjoyer
I think the problem is Farfa kinda misunderstood his own prompt.
He was looking for your favorite decks that use x mechanic but got all tied up with the point that decks listed didn't have that mechanic as their core identity.
Its just people's favourite deck that uses that mechanic, if there isnt a pure pend deck listed it's because they dont like/play those archetypes obviously.
@@david21216 it's pretty dumb to say "he misunderstood his own prompt", he was looking for decks centered around those mechanics. People submitted something different. if someone says their playing an xyz deck, it doesn't mean they're playing a deck that *can* xyz summon as part of their mechanic, it means they're 100% going to go into xyz monsters as their core strategy. It's like getting mad he said Dark Magician wasn't a fusion deck. the DDD take was wrong, bc of their combo with the link monster now, but yall were the ones with the who got the prompt wrong.
I will always stay with monarch being my favourite deck.
It's just so funny to beat actual meta deck or things like D/D/D or Tearlament with a fricking tribute summoned deck
Favorite Ritual: Archfiend
Favorite Fusion: Archfiend
Favorite Synchro: Archfiend
Favorite XYZ: Archfiend
Favorite Pendulum: Archfiend
Favorite Link: Archfiend
Must be hard
smartest farfa enjoyer.
D/D Has 55 monsters in total, 27 of which are pendulums; so LITERALLY half of the monsters are Pendulum monsters, you cannot convince me that's not a pendulum deck.
Thats not how it works. Bunch of those pendulums are beyond saving capabilities pack filler cards.
@@Poske_Ygobrother the best card in the archetype sets 2 scales from deck for free
@@Poske_Ygo Actually D/D plays one of the higher variety of their archetypal cards among most other archetypes, in MD alone they play around 16-20 1 offs (including both Extra and Main deck) and IDK many other archetypes that do that, that arent super old or like Albaz or something
@@amethonys2798
Thats a link2, not a Pend.
Also you only really benefit from scalling Ragnarok everything else is not that insane in terms of value.
One of the things D/d/D PLAYERS want the most is a scale 1/0 on the same level of Ragnaron in terms of quallity.
You can also play D/d/D without the LINK2 because D/d Lock is what dampens that deck super hard.
@PoskeYugituber If you are going to argue that Gilgamesh isn't pend support then Electrumite and Beyond the Pendulum somehow also aren't right? Like what even is this argument?
D/D/D I would argue is considered a pendulum deck due to their link monster setting the scales and if you took out the pendulum cards the deck doesn't function
This is a really cool idea Farfa, please make part 2! I missed that tweet but I would love to submit you my favorites ^^
Farfa saying "I won't elaborate" has the same energy as those people on twitter who think something is demonic/racist/sexist but they can't explain why.
Lol, what do you think which circles Farfa hangs out at 🤣
@@reservationatdorsias3215I miss the old Farfa
He cant overargue theatrical boys, says a lot
"your favourite is wrong" and blue eyes is a ritual deck made me laugh hard
favorite pendulum deck shoulve all been a picture of Trif, missed opportunity
I never touched Heral Drytron. I do have a Drytron deck with some good generic ritual monsters and extra deck monsters. I really enjoy the deck that way even though it isn't all that good.
I think Farfa forgot what pendulums look when my man thinks D/D is a fusion deck xD
Farfa, lets makes a deal, a pendulum deck needs to have at least 5+ card variant pendulum monsters, where most of the monster in the said deck are used for their pendulum spell effect. I think we can agree that it is correct.
isnt it easier to say "pend deck is deck that uses its pend summon more than it doesnt"
or a pend deck is deck that has more than a high and a low scale because they gave that to almost every archetype made in that certain timespan
@@nbassasin8092 that also true.
As the order appears, favorite (not best) ritual heralds. Favorite synchro is still TG because librarian was just one of my all time favorites. Favorite pendulum Deskbots lol. Favorite fusion is still 60 card invoked mill from 2020. Favorite XYZ has always and will forever be trains. They make most XYZ ranks now and it's just so much fun for deck building. Link unfortunately for anybody patient enough to get this far is trickstar burn. Something about going back to duel network and making a dark room+trickstar lycorisa combo to hit for 7k hit different
I heckin love blue eyes
BAAAAAAAT
My first or second part of my combo in D/D/D is to summon Gilgamesh and set scales. I always set scales for effects, even if I don’t pend summon, which I usually go
I love the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon OST used in this video. Especially since its the Guild theme.
My favorite is Gold pride overall. Sets up interruptions but not negates which means you have to actually think about how to use them. Plus redline goes hard
3:59 that was me lol. I stopped playing at the end of tenguplant format to focus on college and super smash bros melee and came back during the launch of MD and got stomped by drytron and tri-brigade. Glad to be here.
I Drytroned you then
I'm offended you didn't put my response in
Would've loved to hear a 3 hour rant about Fur Hire and Infernoble Knight lmao
Galaxy eyes best deck fight me
Nah, Photon way better
Nah, galaxy eyes photon dragon equip beatdown is best
I casually slap galaxy decks 😂
and i thought i was the only one whos favorite synchro deck is dragunity. so that made me super happy

If you give me robot dragons as any summoning mechanic focused deck, that has to be my favorite. I don't know what you want from me, if they didn't want it to be my favorite deck, they shouldn't have made Drytrons robot dragons.
Shadolls for me. Love summoning Winda on my opponents turn
Shaddoll for life
I want to be angry but i play winda in tearlaments
@@tonitaipalus8722never be angry. I play 2 Winda
Baron is support for the Fleur archetype, the anime deck from the one french chick in 5ds
In terms of faves mine would be:
Libromancer for Ritual
Dark Magician for Fusion (really if it's Fusion or Spellcaster focused I generally like it anyway)
Black Rose Dragon for Sync (don't really like synchro at all but they are the sole dragons I actually like in YGO)
Toss up between Melffy and Zoodiac for XYZ
I guess Endymion for Pend (I don't like pendulum at all and prefer the designs of the main characters stuff but being used to make dragons is big sad and at least Endymion is Magistus related)
Finally, Link is a toss up between Unchained and Live/Evil Twins (which is why I play them together)
Unchained Twins is a based strategy. you just reminded me I need to try out that deck again with the new unchained support.
Actually like the OCG Bystial Synchro (my fav Synchro Deck), but sadly, it was never playable in the TCG due to the fact that Chaos Ruler is banned
When Ritual Beasts aren't Rituals.
is traptrix link or xyz? generic end board for turn is sera+raphlesia and field spell so idk myself. definitely been having too much fun using the deck though the past couple of days. even beat a kashtira deck after it banished around 30 of my cards lmao.
Favourite XYZ deck is Rikka
Favourite Fusion deck is Predaplants
Favourite Link deck is Sunavalon
Favourite Synchro deck is Aromage
Favourite Pendulum deck is also Predaplants
Favourite Ritual deck i--
Look just give me a Rikka Ritual boss monster
I notice a pattern here
Now I think about it, there's not a plant ritual moster right?
@@chrisb.2028now u mentioned it, it need to get plant ritual archtype

I never thought of it until now but a ritual would probably be perfect. The summoning goes hand in hand with their tributing playstyle
My 6: Mikanko, Dark Synchro (Librarian would probably be the card), Yosenju, Shaddoll, Rank 10 Machines, World Chalice
Vendread, Ghoti, (I legitimately don’t really play pendulum decks, just decks that have like a pendulum monster as support. If I had to answer I would say like predaplant), Shaddolls, Galaxy Eyes (because it’s the only dedicated xyz deck I have), Beetrooper.
I like me some decks.
Ddd is pend because when it was introduced in arc v, it’s trump card was the fact that it was the only deck besides yuya’s performopals that could pend summon at the start of the show.
Farfa Half of the D/D/D deck are just pendulum monsters and they use the pendulum monsters to summon out more pendulum monster or effect monsters
DDD is considered a pend deck as it was created in the pend era of the anime having most there monsters being pend monsters
23 out of 34 of the D/D/D monsters are pendulums ( not including extra deck )
Okay now I need to defend my marine friends the gishkis! Yes a couple of our eldritch pals may have enabled degenerate combos/ftks, but you have to admit that Zielgigas otk/control was one of the coolest decks ever, plus nereimanes is really neat!

D/D/D at its core is always gonna be a pendulum deck
While it has every summoning mechanic (except ritual), in order to summon anything/search/etc.
What do you need to summon? A level 1 pendulum.
What's their new boss monster? A PENDULUM xyz
Here's mine:
Ritual: Relinquished (If it counts) or Nekroz
Fusion: Branded + Buster Blader
Synchro: Ghoti or Ice Barrier
Xyz: Galaxy-Eyes
Pendulum: Odd-Eyes Performapal
Link: Unchained + Evil Twins
Surprised there was no shaddoll anywhere in these lists.
I came and started on Master Duel a few days ago, made infernoble knights (I did the smaller research in something that was good) played so many dark magician decks😂, blue-eyes, warrior decks, and then I saw something called Sprite😭😭😭 it’s been 10 years since I played, burning abyss just came out when I quit
Fluffals rise up.
my favourite ritual deck is drytron and i hate how it's associated exactly with herald which i have summoned exactly ZERO times
edit: i also don't use draconids a lot, he's in almost every deck i built with drytrons but he's not the best at going first, barely going second too
he fulfills basic needs which i can fulfill better using other rituals and synchros and what remains is a niche that rarely comes up but it does
Fsvorite Normal Summon deck:
I know you know what it is.
Putting this to thought made me realize how many fun Link-focused decks there are.
I hate links with passion, but I cant argue, after my Synchros they do have the most bangers out of all the summoning mechanics
We not gonna talk about darkworld being a favorite fusion archetype when they have 1 fusion
D/D/D's boss monster is literally an xyz pendulum
Drytron just needed its ritual spell to ARCHETYPE lock or MACHINE lock and it would be the most based deck
but we not live in that reality
My Fav is Super Quants and I'll never stop playing it
alright, let's do this
ritual: Prediction Princess
synchro: I don't have any, but Mannadium looks promising
Pend'lum: laughing crying emoji
Fusion: Tears (I love my mermaids)
Xyz: My beloved Tellarknights
Link: Orcust.
As a player, I define myself as "I play a light or a dark" (depending the format).
Fusion deck players are just kids that want to fuse their parents back together to get a functioning household
Fluer is a deck i played it when MD first started
Ritual: Libromancer
Synchro: Assault Mode
Pendulum: Nemleria
Fusion: Dual Avatar
Xyz: Suship
Link: Aroma
Yes this is legit, yes I lose more times than I win, yes it fucking hurts, yes I'll play them anyways.
I literally have never met another Nephtys enjoyer until this video 😂
DDD is a pendulum deck thanks to gilgamesh completing its scales. It was the missing combo piece DDD always needed.
Favorite pendulum- Draco slayer
The other 5 just every branded lore archetype
Gotta say, my favorite all time deck is Vampires. Mixing the old and new cards makes the deck flow in some very strange ways. Too bad it’s nowhere near good or competitive if you play pure
Damn not one person said hero for fusion
Mikanko or silent voice, windwitch, solphacord, melodius diva/albaz, melffy, marincess. Basically anything cute is always up there as my favorites. I love the lore in particular of fallen of albaz, even if it's not cute. Im a filthy casual 😂
Is this stream saved? Want to watch the full
@Farfa me i like lunalight as my fusion deck...i like odd eyes as my favourite pendulumn deck....i like speedroid as my synchro....and i like live twin as link
D/D literally end on no fusions, except if they messed up, but they ALWAYS want scales. Like, they’d be happy to end up on synchros, XYZs and/or links if they thought they could keep their pendulums.
Gilgamesh literally holds the archetype together through sheer power by letting you scale lol
as a drytron player i agree :)
Lunalights are my favorite Fusion and XYZ deck
Genuinely, I don’t know enough pend decks to pick a favourite lol
A bit sad i didnt see any megalith, vaylantz, sunavalon, windup etc :( all my favorites got no showtiime
Actually that might be a good topic for a video, what makes X archetype a Y deck

Synchro - T.G. (maybe Centurion will take its place)
XYZ - Ghostrick
Pendulum - Solfachord

my three principal decks are Labrynth, Sky Strikers, and Vaylantz for the funsies. Shame there's not enough Vaylantz players
Ritual: Dogmatika (before Alba Zoa, preferably with Spellbooks), main card White Knight of Dogmatika
Synchro: I have like 5-7 different deck that I love, but lets say Dragunity or Ice Barrier because of my childhood love for them, main cards either Ascalon or Trish ofc
Pendulum: Metalfoes, but I consider almost all Pendulum archetypes based, main card will forever be Goldriver
Fusion: Destiny heroes, never liked heroes but they always stood out to me as cool ones, main card Dogma
XYZ: again, I have many, but this one is easier than Synchros, its Springans, main one Sargas ofc
Link: If we are going pure, Salads, if we can add some cards, either Tri Brigade or Tenyis, main card Heatleo (which I actually do play because it comes up more than people think), or Shuraig (my favourite link and top 10 favourite cards in general) or Tenyi spirit Adhara (dont ask why I just like the earthy boi)
