i loved when mbt and distantcoder showed up in the video
Me too
Ikr. Clickbait as hell
I especially loved when distant coder said “it’s coding time” and coded all over Farfa
🤌
MBT will “show up” when he jokingly elbows Farfa in a tongue in cheek manner for doing everything he does.
I loved it when 500 people showed up
In my experience, weather painters only work when you're playing against them.
The painters play well with the sacred beasts
I'm the guy who's cracked the code. I know how to actually Pilot painters.
@@TheMasterBlaze huh
The key to Weather Painter is realizing that running floodgates in the main is way more inconsistent than just using Small World and a bunch of Handtraps where Droll bridges litterally everything.
@@The_Great_Butler Ngl I wasn't expecting somebody to actually know one of the playable builds, but you have sure surprised me.
Given how I just lost to Kashtira after they banished 3/4th of my deck on their turn 2, I can safely agree that this archetype deserves its own place in hell.
And the people who designed it
After Tear milled half your Deck on their 2nd Turn
@@wunderkind2396 I was playing Labrynth to do my daily missions.
@@wunderkind2396 NGL I did play Tearlaments Kashtira cause I had parts of one deck and parts of the other cause it was too expensive pure and it plays on my turn for Kashtira and Tearlaments will play on their turn

you know aleister holds a special place when he gets his own museum section.
incredible
The one Invoked creature is one of the few actually banned on Duel Links.
@@residentgrey common invoked W
@@residentgreycocytus? Yea, still remember the wall of coc from invoked esaber meta in duel links.
You know Kashtira is just turbo broken when no one mentioned Baronne de Fleur or Chaos Ruler as extra-deck hate monster and everyone just went Ariseheart
I didn't even notice that. Baronne is definitely high on the list for most hated extra deck monsters for me. Does way too much and is way too splashable into so many decks, on top of it having 3K attack. Also didn't see Zeus either
Dude Baronne would be top 5 for me for sure, but I think Rhongo Bongo and VFD are just even worse. Utopic Zexal too but I never played in a format where that shit was legal. But still, I hate how easy it is to make Baronne. I have no idea how "make Verte" became a meme but "make Baronne" didn't. I even play one because I'd be stupid not to. Even in Kashtira, with the Xyz lock, it's worth playing. An omni negate and a pop on demand for that easy is so stupid, even more stupid than Chaos Ruler cuz at least that card can't negate you trying to negate its effect. Ariseheart is stronger but only works in specifically Kashtira, no one's splashing it into just about every deck imaginable, must just be TCG players celebrating its ban
Half of them put El Shadoll Winda in there.
@blackdragonkalameet1016 that’s just recency bias in full swing. Ariseheart was fine at 1 and the least interesting hit that could’ve been given to Kash, like outright banning Unicorn. There’s been infinitely worse extra deck cards out there that the people listing Kashtira either never played with/against or are just letting the most recent format cloud their judgment. Like all of 2018 was home to some of the most annoying extra deck cards imaginable with garbage like Gumblar, Summon Sorc, Knightmare Goblin, and Firewall being abused. Or Linkross Halq Auroradon format where every combo deck just did the exact same line. Or you could go way back to garbage like Shock Master or Exciton being the most irritating and swingy card in the game on release. The only less ban worthy card on the ban list than Ariseheart right now is Drident.
Almost every card you complained about is banned. Who complains about cards already banned ages ago?@@dariuspenner2528
The fact that even Rush Duels has floodgates should tell you that YuGiOh truly is unsalvageable
Showed this to my boyfriend who unironically loves earth machines (because he wanted to make a Train deck) and he feels mildly attacked in this video 😂
Bruh same. I like my choo choo trenz.
SAME EARTH MACHINES BEST DECK LESGOOOO
big train goes boom. -2000 direkt dmg into 6000 beatstick.
Who needs big effects if you can just beat them up
Same here. I also feel slightly attacked :D
1st. Earth machine is amazing. Let my Boi combo!
2nd. Floodgates are obviously the most hated but the number of people who hate Sky striker also reinforces to me that a deck that is all just power spells and recursion may not be something that should exist in the game.
Farfa doesn't like complicated decks
@@f687sNFMhe likes adamancipator
Joshua Schmidt getting straight validation for his custom banlist this entire thread
It hasn't been relevant for a long time but don't let the hatred for Inspector Boarder fade, that card was a mistake
whats even worse about the rush floodgate monster is that deck has another fusion they make a lot that floodgates all special summons for the turn. thankfully, the deck was never very good
Playing 'Klonoa 2 - Going to Lunatea' in the background is a vibe i didn't know i needed today, amazing to see Klonoa getting some love.
Back on topic, Ultimate Conductor Tyranno is a card i hate. Mostly because my friend plays it and as a casual f2p it can be a little frustrating when your monsters just get flipped down and can't do anything.
Aleister is legit one of the best archtypes in all of YuGiOh in terms of design and I don't understand why people dislike it.
In a time when the barrier of entry into our game is a real concern, a useable engine that results in a negate and MAYBE a book of moon or a pop that is simple to use and understand seems like an amazing idea, and I honestly think it deserves more support.
I really don't understand how a deck that has only ever been like, the 3rd best in any particular format, is not horribly oppresive (compared to practically every meta deck in the last 8 years), and is simple in design can be construed as bad, like "oh no, it recycle a recourse easily"? It really baffles me.
Right? Mechaba's not even that good of a negate, it forces you to play a decent mix of card types in order to make it an omni. Purgatrio would have been a busted OTK tool if it came out a couple years earlier, but it didn't, so it's not even that big of a deal. And the rest of the Invoked monsters are just whatever, who cares.
Oh wait, Invocation can summon any fusion monster, not just Invoked ones. Aleister is Cyber Dragon Core or whatever the HERO monster that searches the mask change spells is called but for any fusion deck.
Yeah that's why a lot of people hate Aleister. (tbf, I don't, I think the card is fine now. Using Invocation for non-Invoked summons is always, at minimum, a 2-card combo. But I didn't play TCG when he came out and things were at a lower power level in general, so I don't have any trauma related to that time.)
@@drewbabe Nah, Invocation is always strictly worse than poly unless you are summoning an invoked monster, and it's hard opt, the only time you are using invocation as poly is if you are down horrendous for a fusion summon, and the best you are getting is almost certainly winda which is annoying, but it crops up occasionally since 2014, several other decks have used it with more oppressive boards and success, Invoked Shadoll Dogmatica was probably the best the deck has ever been and it was "ok" at the best of times.
People are just tired of seeing "Normal Aleister." Also every Invoked player's hand turns into four copies of invocation the moment Aleister gets ashed so their is that too.
@@TylerMcVeigh1 Yeah, I kinda understand the "It's boring" argument a little, like that's valid, but I feel like there is a line between "this isn't exciting me" and the "This is what is wrong with YuGiOh" stance some people take against it.
I understand not liking a deck, but I really don't get the absolute hatred some people for a deck that has had a track record of being mid to bad.
Its Farfa, lad, the personification of braindead takes.
You can't just show Aleister in a museum in France and not provide more context that's like illegal man
I think that the reason that dude hates triashireractica is because of fairy generaiders bc on your oponets turn that can be a trinite 3 tokens draw 2 destroy 1 and max-c is legal soo topdecking a max-c of that draw efect hurts
Crooked Cook would be my most hated card especially when it is used to stall out Exodia.
Someone has never played against Outstanding Dog Marron Crooked Cook. You don't run Exodia, too vulnerable to discard and such. Instead yo u just win by deck out.

Earth Machines is the only deck I can use that's able to out my friends spellbooks and traptrix decks. So annoying to play against, but somehow my Geargia, Infinitrack, Train deck can beat it. It's all one deck yes, it's like 50 cards.

Get ready to take a shot for every Cockroach
I hate Weather Painters and Eldlich because they're both cool decks with fun gimmicks and interesting asthetics that just so happen to also be perfect recepticles for floodgates.
I'm not sure infinitely recycling resources and having either quick effect ways to dodge removal or just straight up destruction immunity and a huge ass counts as "fun gimmicks" but I agree with the interesting aesthetics part of your comment. Thank goodness both are too slow for the modern metagame.
Big shoutouts to the editor for the Klonoa music.
Big reminder that Majestpector is basically just the Klonoa Archetype.

I need to know more about aleister in a museum in france.
I think most people agree that weather painters are the worst. They either take 30+ turns to maybe win or win immediately by flipping skill drain.
Seethe
the big synchro card in the thumbnail is either link fodder for my borreload or tribute fodder for my blue eyes
I would probably say my least favorite main deck monster is any of the Kaijus. Because they made tribute a viable removal option, it spawned so many ridiculous wall cards that force people to wait until their removal option shows up, but otherwise they can't do much about it. I know a lot of them can be stopped with Dark Ruler No More, Droplet, etc. but for a long time, your options were to basically prevent it from coming out or drop a kaiju. And since kaiju are so available, that just gave Konami an excuse to print these obnoxious monsters, because you can tribute them away, and any deck can splash a kaiju in it if they don't have good non-targeting, non-destruction removal. Red Eyes Dark Dragoon was basically the problem in a microcosm. Big monster with big stats, can be affected by very few cards in the game, and unless you happen to play a deck with an out in your extra deck, you either top-deck a Kaiju, Dark Ruler No More, Droplet, or scoop. Dragoon was just way more obnoxious because it was so easily accessible with Verte Anaconda. All you have to do is play a deck that can put 2 bodies on board, and you have to play 3 Garnets. That's it.
For the extra deck, another trend-setter I'd single out is Borreload Savage Dragon. It wasn't the first good generic extra deck monster, it was just the first one that I felt was super obnoxious, and it was part of this big trend of generic extra deck monsters that were often times better than most ace monsters. It just kills any creativity, especially in rogue tier. Why would you even bother making something archetype-specific when Savage Dragon or AA-ZEUS is objectively better than anything in the archetype you're playing?
As for archetypes - I think it should go without saying that Eldlich is probably my least favorite, because I hate floodgates too - it's basically what I said about the monsters that mostly just get removed via kaiju - they're cards designed to prevent you from playing the game until you draw an out. And Eldlich just sits on a big boss monster that doesn't really fully go away, the deck plays a bunch of interruptions, and half the time they're sitting on the one floodgate that completely counters your deck, and they have no problems because all they need is their one boss monster, and they're good to go. In most games, just having one big, tough boss monster is fine, it's nothing to be worried about, but in Yugioh it's basically a license to be the worst player at your locals because you're just going to throw in every floodgate card in the game and just watch your opponent pull their hair out waiting to actually play the game.
People will put 12 handtraps and fill half their extra deck with generic monsters and it's like, are you even playing your fucking archetype if you're just going to go into the same handful of extra deck monsters that everyone else plays?
@@Mr_Ozone Agreed - hate that too. I feel like that's more of a side-effect of decks just getting smaller and smaller engines where at some point, it's functional with a minority of cards in the deck actually being part of the deck and the rest is just generic. If I must say something "nice" about the more modern formats (Kashtira coming to mind) is that at the very least, Kashtira players actually play Kashtira cards instead of 25 hand traps.
Still not fan of Kashira though.
This made me realize, its not Tear I hated, its the shufflers.
Farfa's most hated spell being called by, is hilarious because of how obvious it is.
6:02 elaborating on the main deck monster: it's a running joke at his videos
I think the only deck that matches the amount of hate kash gets is like maybe Eldlich and runick.
I can answer the weather question. I play it a lot in unranked Master Duel and wipe the floor with everyone, without even having to resort to floodgates. Those little fairies work very well with Super Poly
As for mine (banned cards excluded)
Worst archetype: One Bad Day
Worst main deck monster: Droll, it's literally Maxx C 2.0 and deserves to go before this year year ends.
Worst extra deck monster: I've got nothing. I guess Abyss Dweller because I don't enjoy winning with any kind of floodgates.
Worst spell: Don't really have a good time one. Again, I guess Deck Lockdown because floodgate.
Worst trap: Anti Spell Fragance, not even close. Another one that better it not survive past December
Worst format: every format until the release of Rainbow Dragon because I can't play my favorite deck on those, not even on ultra casual mode.b
I love it how the one thing Farfa focused on with my post on the video is Sea Stealth Attack - when I explained that it's because of Umi Control - and how Runick got by unscathed.
Anyways, FUCK FLOODGATES!
As a Weather player I can understand. Most Weather players rely on floodgates, including Shifter. So it's like worse Floo.

Surprised noone put called by the grave as their most hated spell..
"I think Kash will go down as the most hated deck of all time"
I wish that was true, but a lot of crazy people still have a hate boner for Tear even though its way more balanced now. Like, Tear didnt even have the highest top cut conversion rate at Dortmund. That would be Dragon Link. Its just that there was a LOT of people running Tear, just like Unchained and Purrely.
And despite all that, your final two duelists were a Vanquished Soul player and a Rikka player. Though to be fair: those are anti-meta decks this format similar to Floow.
I think a lot of the hatred towards Tear is due it playing on both turns. I remember hearing a lot of people complaining about the, "Our Turn" aspect of Tear. Sadly, I agree with you though. I can see Tear format going down as the all time worst format and Kash format slipping though the cracks just because Tear is such a hated deck for so many people.

Spell - Dimensional Fissure (Honestly I dunno about Mystic Mine as I never play against them, but sounds like something I'd hate too ngl)

I don't understand the hate for floodgates. It seems most Yu-Gi-Oh players just have an allergic reaction to any form of control decks that isn't 10 minute long combos that end in a board of 37 omni negates
Im stunned no one said Lab
All kidding aside, the devs really should take notes. I remember when I first started playing MD and encountered the discoball in the cancerous meta of early master duel. I could not believe it was real. A card that essentially reads "You are not playing the game. You do not participate in this duel. This is not a duel, this is you watching someone else play a single player game."
A card that essentially erases the "MULTI" part in multiplayer? Ridiculous. Then I learned there's like 200+ cards, strategies and archetypes that do the same in one form or another. This is what floogates are. This is why they are indefensible. This is why they have no place in a game of any kind, but especially a Bo1 game like MD.
I am in awe at the massive incompetence, malice or unimaginable cope necessary to think the very concept of a floodgate has any business being in any 2+player game of any kind.
Floodgates exist in many card games and aren’t nearly as impactful there. Momentum is just so important in Yugioh that waiting until you find a way out isn’t viable.
@@alisethera9349 Floodgates allways did ruin yugioh even when momentum, or "speed" was a lot slower. As far as I know, the very first meta was dominated by Yata-lock already.

Why people hate the funny birds?
The Barrier statue I completely get but the birds themselves really?

I'd rather play and play against a floodgate deck like Floowandereeze than sit against someone playing with themselves for 10 minutes, setting up 4 omni-negates with a bunch of handtraps in their hand for my turn.
Combo players need the noose.
But what if I’m both?
What if I like to combo to get to my floodgates? :)
If you're watching your opponent play for 10 minutes without interacting with them, what type of untiered bitch pet deck are you running?
@@wonkybiscuit2760That's why everyone hates Floo.
There are muktiple ways to out combo boards, Dark Ruler, Nib, Imteracting with handtraps properly, evenly matched etc. to beat a floodgate deck you have to draw your 1 copy of duster or 1 of ypur 2 lightning storms. Oh you arent maining bricks? Un....fortunate. Floo in particular at its height was dropping dimension shifter, then comboing into 2 floodgates and an omni negate, and thats before we get into the feild spell that essentially reaads "feel free to play, but it will become our turn as soon as you do".
@tickledeggz Both are "just draw the out bro" situations. I'd rather immediately know I'm screwed vs. every single card I play getting "interacted" with. That, to me, is far more frustrating.
