Bro forgor to pin
Bro even though this is a pinned comment from a verified account, this screams malware to me 💀
12:30 The take was so good, we had to hear it twice.
Whew....I thought I had gone back in time while looking at this video and having Master Duels open at the same time when I was hearing this lol
I was so confused lmfao
Fucking thought I was having a stroke or being perfectly pranked
Ikr
Dude i thought i was hallucinating
I think gemini monsters should all have the effect when they’re normal summoned for the 3rd time to win the match
They'd still lose😂
and it would worded like, "If this card is normal summoned thrice, you win the match from your opponent's pity."
Still loses.
My favorite video series 😂
Chained summoning go brrr
12:30 The repeated take made me question if I finally got dementia from these takes
The take was so good it had to be put in twice. A truly masterful design choice
Everyone: floodgates bad
Also everyone: make super polymerization even more broken
As an avid user of the card, I certainly wouldn't complain.
Super polymerization is just 1+/neutral twin twister for monsters.
@@Veryfreshveryflourish24 unless your opponent is playing Dragon Link and you have a Five-Headed Dragon in your extra deck.
@@joanaguayoplanell4912 then its just torrential tribute altho dragon link usually has 3-4 dragons max on field during combo lines and their endvoard rarely has 5 dragons.
@@Veryfreshveryflourish24you seriously compare my boss monster who I spent all my resources into to a set card ???
To the shifter hand trap guy.
During each standby phase you "shifter your pants".
Ritual cards are now extra deck cards
I Synchro Fusion a monster
that takes away their whole identity and just turns it into new ED mechanic - which makes it 100x more meta but it is literally just erasing the entire point of the mechanic
What about Nekroz? Drytron?
Let's be honest they should have that be the norm already
Yes that would be a shit load of errata, but I would prefer that instead of how it is now
what do we do to impcantations, just cry about it?
I’d like a reverse crystal beast archetype, if they destroy an opponents card the destroyed card gets put into your opponent’s back row
Snake eye?
Bro also just described Vaylantz
Psychic Megacyber archetype when
that does exist in the anime, it's called Stormrider
They're called Vaylantz
Hear me out. We remove side decks, but instead you open 5 packs and whatever you pull is your side deck that match.
I got a take: Both players should be allowed one full turn to set up a board without being interrupted by the opponent. I set up my board, you set up your board, and then on turn 3 is when both players are allowed to start using negates/interruptions
this would mean that people would start building stuffs that is battle phase heavy, and would change the meta and fundamental card designs tbh
Maybe an archetype, so like there’s a group of monsters that when on field, no interruptions can happen, but can only be on the field for so long and then gets banished or shuffled
be trap player, go first, set ur backrow. opponent going second: i activate lightning storm, any response ;P
@@nihildwo4874 what is it with farfa users being too dumb to read.
@@john-hannerfrankly for the better as currently the battle phase is frankly a formality on the turn you roll your opponent
I want the extra deck to get to 16, just so I can have exactly 4 of each summoning mechanic.
You know a take is gonna be awful when they precede it with "okay hear me out".
Everytime they say "hear me out" I begin to shake in fear
Is it just me, or did that Shifter idea clip play twice during this video?
Not just you
It did
Literally did, Farfa thought he was sneaky
The take so hot the editor stroked out after hearing it the first time.
I think you should be able to pick one of the millennium items and then gained its mystical powers for the duel
We side DURING the duel. Each time your opponent plays a card you can look at your deck choose 1 card from it, put it into your sidedeck, choose 1 card from your side deck and show it to your opponent, then shuffle it into your main deck. This only happens when a card is placed on the field, not when an effect is activated. If multiple cards are played at once like a pendulum summon, you only choose 1 card like normal.
Every time you want to activate a floodgate you should have write a sincere apology to the opponent and he needs to accept it. If he declines you can write another apology or choose to not activate the card. Consent is very important when it comes to floodgating each other!
The sponsorship for the big orc guy is impossible, the thing requires 7 days of login and it ends in 4 days
Good thing he (probably) made his bag, so no one has to give a shit anymore lmao.
Fan: "Extra & side decks to 40, main deck to 15."
Konami: "Write that down! Write that down!"
All monsters should be treated as being flipped face-up if they're moved to a public information zone by a card effect. What this means is that if you set a Flip monster and it's destroyed or banished by your opponent, that flip effect will trigger. And yes, that does mean a Shaddoll monster will get a choice between its two effects if it's used as fusion material from the field.

Or? Get this. Run backrow removal in your deck. I don't know why Yugioh players adamandly refuse to do this and then complain about spells/traps.

Wow, I left this for a minute before watching and find this comment after. Wonder why they changed the title. Looks fine to me.
@@Merilirembrand name probably
My hot takes:
- The banlist should receive a major revision that creates conditional limits; e.g. Chaos Ruler is forbidden if you are playing a Tearlaments or Ishizu name in your deck, or you can play Chaos Ruler OR Block Dragon, but not together in a list
- There should be an independent forbidden and limited list for side decks; e.g. Evenly Matched can be played at 3 in your main deck list but is forbidden from being in your side deck list (but can still be sided out in a match)
- Players should be allowed to mulligan after drawing their opening hand as many times as they want before the duel begins, but must shuffle their entire hand back into the deck and they draw one less card every time they do
I unfortunately havent played cardboard since I was in grammar school but I do play master duel. I have a few suggestions that I think would help the game.
1- Make legends anthology a permanent mode remove casual mode. Causal mode is just a “free” ranked match these days. Play against meta for nothing 😂
2- I don’t think Maxx C should be banned it is a necessary evil with the way the game is these days BUT. I think it should be limited to 1
3) is just an overall thing. MORE CARDS SHOULD LOCK YOU INTO TYPE/ATTRIBUTE or Archetype for the rest of your summons once you committed to use that card. Like how some rokket cards lock you into dark etc. no way an all earth/rock deck should end on a board with baron. Apollousa, borreload savage dragon bullshit. Hell even branded locks you into fusion
4- BRING FUCKING RED EYES SUPPORT TO THE DAMN GAME. How the hell did blues get buffed twice and dark magician received a great anniversary buff, but red ass is a low C tier deck at best and Dark Dragoon is still banned while DPE terrorized master duel for like 5 seasons.
When the first guy said 15 cards I had my soda spray out of my nose.
Okay, what if your Extra Deck size was determined by how many cards you have in your main deck? 40-49 cards; you get a 10 card Extra Deck. 50-59 gets you a 15 card Extra Deck, and a 60 card deck gets your a 20 card Extra Deck?
Now that's interesting
I think this would legit make 60 cards decks the strongest. I like
As a Dradon Link player, I see this is an absolute win!
Exactly what does this solve?
@@HumanoidCableDreadsmeans decks with bigger extra deck is less consistent but if you want more consistent deck you lose tech options in extra deck
Farfa is here to remind us why Konami doesn’t listen to the community
Farfa you should use those top 3 or top 5 takes among all of them to be implemented on db matches, like attacking backrow, unban broadbull, supol your opponent's backrow, or something. Would be a hillarious video idea
"You can discard this card: Pay 700 LP Negate all Spell Cards until the end of the turn"
Cold Wave is banned for a reason.
Buffing erratas in theory is a really good take lol. The only thing better than legacy support is buffing the original monsters which made the deck's fans wanna play the deck in the first place. It keeps the spirit of the deck and makes it better. How this would be done in a physical game is not my problem :)
It even has already been done to fix some problematic cards like Ultimate Tyranno, who got this mandatory attack everything effect tweaked, mainly to eliminate a bunch of loopholes, but with the extra benefit that you are no longer forced to crash it if your opponent has a stronger monster.
I wanna see effect veiler buffed so it's just a slightly worse imperm rather than a much worse one, so decks would have two interesting options to choose between rather than one just being objectively better. Like it's not even close, veiler is
- main phase only
- opponent's turn only
- unactivatable under macrocosmos
- can be negated by called by, appo
@@tcoren1 I mean I guess you're not wrong but I'd like them to buff archetypal cards first and then look at staples later
ARCHETYPAL BOSS MONSTERS SHOULD GET WORTHWHILE BONUS EFFECTS BY BEING PLAYED IN THEIR RESPECTIVE THEME. (look at Galaxy Eyes Photon Lord & Vendreads) TO INCENTIVIZE PLAYERS TO PLAY THE DECK WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY ENCOURAGING EXPERIMENTATION IN OTHER DECKS, AND NOT JUST PICKING THE BEST STUFF FROM AN ARCHETYPE WITHOUT THE DOWNSIDES. /Rant
People not going to play it
"If you summon Barrone De Fleur using only 'Fleur' monsters, you win the duel"
The Gate Guardian Fusion should have been a Monster negate, thrice per turn.
Right now, it sucks
There's now a 1000 word limit per duel. Nirvana High Paladin? 1/4 of your word limit gone.
At the end of each player's turn, both sides of the board are randomly subject to an effect. One side might get hit with an entire front and back row boardwipe, while the other side's entire graveyard is banished. Then the first player discards whatever they currently have in their hand. The next player loses 50% of their life points.
It is all at random and bypasses immunity and targeting.
Oh, worst takes? I gotchu homie:
_Maxx "X"_
Once per turn, during the Main Phase 1 of either player's turn: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; this turn, each time your opponent Special Summons a monster(s), draw 3 cards, then banish 2 cards from your hand dace down. You can only use 1 "Maxx "X"" per turn.
I'd MUCH rather deal with this than Maxx C, because it would be a lot easier to deck out my opponent.
@@joanaguayoplanell4912 aye, plus it incentivises the player to know when to actually play the card not just for a possible negation, but to also optimize how many cards you want to draw vs how many you banish based on your opponent plays and making a risk.
On the topic of Errata'ing a physical card game, Cardfight Vanguard just released a set where they reprinted and errata'd like 50 powercrept cards to make them viable and allow for more deck variety in the current format and people love it. You can still play the old ones with the updated text, You just need people to not be completely braindead and read up on the current goings on of the game, its really not as hard as youd expect it to be.
Technically it's not different from how current erratas are applied. You can always play the old physical cards, but you have to apply their new text (you can play the original CED but you play it with its current restrictions).
The physicality of the game doesn't prevent any kind of modification like that. The only limit is the players' brain ability to erase the old texts from their memories and remember the new ones instead, I guess.
Vanguard also does situation specific bans to remove problems without punishing innocent people in the process the classic example being Jewel Knight Swordmy where it was incredibly powerful in Sanctuary Guard decks but needed but balanced in legion Jewel Knight decks so what do they do they just make it so it's not allowed in decks without all grade 3 jewel knights stopping the problem without hurting a innocent deck
@@michaelkeha Yes, Another thing i wish Yugioh did. Its current style of ban lists is too rigid.
@@MomijiHVods Off the top of my head Dracosack and Halq would have never been problems if they used this system
Turn 1 and 2 the opponents can't interact with each other they build their fields and then go
I like the ability to attack backrow but on top of that u can also attack backrow if there is no monster in that column (excluding extra monster zones so column 2 and 4 aren't just better) ❤🍰
I have a bad take.
Let’s print double type monsters, like if you have dinosaur fossil, you can make it a Rock / Dinosaur, so you can have synergies in both archetypes. You can expand the game so much.
Also double attributes could be fun
Maxx “C” should be Insect Locked.
Instead of drawing a card from the deck, you draw an INSECT card.
(monster &/or a Spell/Trap that mentions “insect” or insect archetypes)
So it would work like "Heart of the Underdog" but insect and also counting support cards?
That really just limits the design options for insects then and I doubt Konami would then print actually good insect cards and ban the already good ones
Give all Fusion decks that don't function off Contact Fusion a Shaddoll Fusion. Decks already go super minus with Poly, imagine if Fluffal could just Branded Fusion Kraken with a Sabres and Wings. Besides, if you look at how many Fusion decks already have a fuse-from-deck spell, the number is surprisingly high. Might as well round it off for the others!
Note: Tear's fusion mechanics are basically contact fusion from the GY, so they don't get a spell like this. Thundra also wouldn't
The mechanic from gwent where you can choose to put up to two cards back in the Deck to randomly draw two cards at ta start of the game. But maybe only for the going second player or instead of his initial draw or maybe as a mandatory condition for both players or whatever would be the Most balanced option. Would maybe help the more bricky but fun decks a bit more viable
Thats called a mulligan
I have the best take:
We should be allowed to play with OCG printings. I want those 3€ staples

God, master could actually get an ‘alchemy format’ equivalent huh. (A format of magic the gathering: arena where they errata cards up and down in power level, as well as add new cards with effects that wouldn’t work in paper, like the heartstone choose one of three thing)
That doesn’t seem like it’ll happen any time soon though.

Someone at my locals asked the question of "What if the going second player started with six cards? No, like, starts the duel with six cards. But, at the start of their turn, they also can't draw a card"
So like, 1 extra potential chance for a handtrap? I think that's all that functionally changes, right?
@@tinkerermelon6599 Pretty much what they were thinking.
5:33 Funny thing is there's already a continuous spell that lets you do this, it's called Legacy of the Duelist. (not the game) It even has the added bonus of letting you skip a normal draw to return a monster from GY instead
And the Going second deck was probably one of the best events Master Duel has ever had. Was the closest thing to side decking we have and I really liked it, not all players abused it either by just building a going second deck full of crap gates and such. I think that’s the best way
Instead of deciding who goes first by some random function, both players should bid a number of actions they need to set up a board going first, the player who bid lower gets their chosen number as the maximum combined number of summons, sets, and effect activations before it becomes the end phase, causing a reduction in the strength of turn 1 boards, allowing blowout board breakers to be banned without making going second unplayable, and reducing the number of non-game games.
What happens if both players bid 1 (which might happen all the time under this rule)? and who goes first in this case?
I think hand traps should have a keyword: retaliation function, where the opponent has the ability to sacrifice to block the hand trap i.e. send a card from hand to graveyard, destroy a card on your field, etc…
What about adding another section in the ban/limit and add in something to like highlander where is one card only to all cards in this section you can only add up to like what 5-7 cards in this list and no more basically limit game wining cards anymore… that or winning player can’t side in card meaning you win game one you can’t side in game two but you can side in game three if you lose
Monsters on the field can only negate the activation of one spell, trap and monster effect each once per turn. No more negate boards and that means less need for huge blowouts.
Then a strict banlist for decks that don't rely on negates and rather different forms of Interruptions/floodgates (powerful ones Ursarctics are fine). Kashtira, HERO (y'all got three Floodgates), one of the Icejade cards that prevents monster effects and then all trap floodgates
3:30 and 13:00 are the exact same take.
I know how to fix yugioh.
We need to errata the Main deck Ice barriers to be able to use their grave effects on the same turn as their field effect.
Prior to not have that lcl restriction.
And Bam.
Ice barrier is at least top 20.
You sure they don't need new cards?
@@Honest_Mids_Masher
Maybe.
As someone who plays the deck Actively in locals and Stuff.
I can say with a Degree of Certainty that JUST BY REMOVING MOST THEIR RESTRICTIONS, they become playable.
For example
Prior of the ice barrier.
Special Summon... But you cant Special summon Lvl 5 or Higher monsters.
So No synchros, no Generals...
Zuijin, cannot activate its "LEVEL EATER" effect the turn its sent to the graveyard.
Same does apply to Wind over the ice barrier, and the Speaker of the Ice barrier.
Just with those changes, you can at least make plays.
And not WAIT for the next turn... Once your opponent OTKd.
Should they get more cards?
Maybe a retrain of the generals.
Wayne is a Good one.
Gantalla would be decent if it allowed for the special summon on MP and not EP...
Raiho is a tricky one, its probably the better one of them either way, and its still JANK as hecc.
Anyways.
Yeah.
They could use some new cards.
But JUST WITH SOME ERRATAS, it would do so much better.
@@Rocktherio Welp ya learn something new everyday.
I think the best solution is that we make the banlist different.
For example protos ist a good card but it's broken with swordsoul so we ban it with some core cards or cards that search it in swordsoul deck like grandmaster and emergence.
In this way we could enjoy play protos in all other decks where protos is not very easy summonable.
But there are cards that should stay banned because they are broken on their own like maxx c.
Every deck that does not make top 64 at a event can play pot of greed at 3 in the next one.
The extra deck increases in size if you play more than 40 cards
My hot take : let people play during the opponent's turn by game mechanics. After each chain during your turn, your opponent can do 1 of the following :
- Normal summon (once per turn)
- Activate a spell
- Set a S/T
- Activate a spell speed 1 effect
In addition, quick play spells can be activated from your hand during the opponent's turn, and all timing restriction (for example : "during your main phase") ignore whose turn it is.
The only one that was kinda going somewhere was both players revealing their deck at the start of a match. Puts more emphasis on who’s the real better player.
"Giant Soldier of Stone, attack that backrow!"
My ice cold take:
We should have all kinds of events experimenting with the great ideas generated by the community. Why is konami so afraid to get creative? At worst, the ideas turn out to be shit, and we had fun for a while, maybe stumbled upon a new format. At best, and very probably, we find legit ways to make the game more fun and interesting.
On the forklift archetype, how cool would it be for like a monster to ‘lift’ another monster for a turn, like off the zone- like a forklift (maybe based on its attack, you know like a max-load) and then that means you can summon on a zone a monster technically occupies BUT if both monsters are still there they would crash and destroy themselves
Tbh i would love a yogg sauron type event
I think we need to revamp cards banlist. As in unlimited is 4 copies, semi limit is 3, limited is 2, restricted is 1, and forbidden.
And Or make ED max cards 20
I agree honestly with the discover mechanic with hearthstone and coop mechanics that only the online game can have and the paper game holding us back honestly so little people these days play it especially outside the US and if we still want the irl card game to be a thing maybe make us master duel players the beta testers for cards.
This comes from an day 1 anime watcher from germany before someone says i'm a zoomer.
Hot take: When you start building deck in MD/fill up the card list, you have to declare an archetype and you MUST put at least 30 cards from that archetype. This way people would have to decide which engines/staples you really need and it would allow archetypical cards to shine more. Currently in MD, everyone puts in 3x Ash Blossom, 3x Maxx C, 2-3 Imperms and 2 Called by the Grave, so that would devour your "wild card" spots if you wanted to play optimal 40 cards, so if you wanted to add, like, a Bystial or Kashtira engine, you would need to either sacrifice consistency or think if you really need these staples everyone put. Also, I would probably allow max 6 monster from outside the archetype in the Extra deck to cut down Abyss Dwellers, Bagooskas, Accesscode Talkers, Dharcs, Starving Venoms, Downerd/Zeus combo, White Woman etc.
16:25 ABSOLUTELY BASED
More erratas, more cards on the banlist, lets actually balance the game and make it fun again and not just a 2 turn "just draw the out 4head" "skill issue" cesspit like it is currently, think about it, there's a reason why alternate formats and side events are at an all time high, no one actually enjoys the current metagame unless you enjoy being super sweaty and hyper-competitive, getting more banlists more often like Master Duel does is an omega-based gigachad galaxy brain idea that would fix the game
@farfa the pokemon ccg allows you to use the original print of professor oak in tournament, despite not having the 20 years of erratas the card "professors research" has gotten.
My hot take that's bad, the semi limited list should be explored more than the limited list. Every flood gate regardless of play should be at 1 or out right banned, (looking at you quiet place), and all hand traps should be at 2 or 1.
@5:25 So you're saying I could literally attack the moon? I'm down
It's too late to implement my bad idea, but I'll post it anyway: Spells, traps, and monster effects should have always used normal monsters as costs to activate. It would make Vanillas useful and give the game actual costs and risks to effects rather than every cost becoming a benefit to most decks.
Then we would just be playing magic but with vanilla monsters instead of lands
@@blakeowens5996 more like DBS or Force of will.
Two different takes, zero elaboration:
1. Snake rain is singlehandedly keeping us from a decent reptile deck
2. We need more win conditions like True Exodia
A take I would have Is like current Pokemon VGC where they have open team sheets(hate it fully here) and use that in YGO where you show your opponnts list that shows the main deck with out ratios and still can't see their extra or side deck.
1. Pendulum Zones are their own Zones.
2. Pendulum & Link monsters in the Extra Deck can be summoned to any monster zone.
3. Player 1 draws for the first turn.
4. Priority exists.
5. Level 9 & 10 monsters cost 3 monsters to tribute summon, while 11 & 12 cost 4 monsters.
6. The 3 cards of the same name per deck rule is changed to 3 cards with the same passcode.
--------------Example: Duelists can run 3 “Umi”, 3 “A Legendary Ocean”, 3 “Lemuria, the Forgotten City”, 3 “Magellanica, the Deep Sea City” & 3 “Pacifis, the Phantasm City”.
7. All Ritual, Nomi & Semi-Nomi monsters must first be summoned before they can be used as tribute, or material, for the summoning of another monster.
8. If properly summoned, any monster with specific cards listed needed for its summon count as many named monsters listed when it’s on the field, while taking up only 1 monster zone. They also bear the names of the monsters.
Examples:
--------------Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon is treated as 3 “Blue Eyes White Dragon” on the field, despite taking up only 1 monster zone.
--------------Black Skull Dragon is treated as 2 monsters, both with the names: “Summon Skull” & “Red Eyes Black Dragon”.
--------------Valkyrion the Magna Warrior is treated as 3 monsters, all with the names: “Alpha The Magnet Warrior", "Beta The Magnet Warrior" & "Gamma The Magnet Warrior"
9. All retrains/evolutions of the same card share their names with “the original” & previous forms.
Examples:
--------------“Magician of Black Chaos”, “Dark Eradicator Warlock” & “Sorcerer of Black Magic” are always treated as “Dark Magician”.
--------------“Magician of Black Chaos” is always treated as “Dark Magician of Chaos”.
10. If a player forfeits the duel, they forfeit the match.
11. The Extra Deck cannot have more cards in it than in the Main Deck at the start of the duel.
12. The Extra Deck cannot have more than 15 cards of the same summoning mechanic, not counting Pendulum, at the start of the duel.
---------There are 4 Extra Deck summoning mechanics, not counting pendulums (Fusion, Synchro, Xyz & Link) & 60 / 4 = 15.
13. When Xyz monsters are used for an Xyz summon, their materials get carried over into the new monster.
14. Different copies of the same monster can activate their effects simultaneously
--------------Example. Duelists can summon 3 Cyber Dragons at once from their hand if their opponent is the only one with monsters.
15. Monsters in Spell & Trap zones count towards normal or special summons if the monster they’re equipped to is used for it.
--------------Example: An “X-Head Cannon” equipped with “Y-Dragon Head” can be used for the summon of Black Luster Soldier or a level 7 or 8 normal monster.
16. Players can’t inspect each other’s graveyard or banish pile
My Hot Take...All Ritual Spells can use an Alternative Tribute Mehanic in addition to their original print.
This new Mechanic is:
When Ritual Summoning a Non-Effect Ritual Monster, you may tribute cards on either side of the field according to Tribute Cost of its Level(1 card for level 5 and 6, and so forth) That Ritual Monster gains the effect "This card is unaffected by (Card type used as Tribute) effects.
This makes older Ritual Monsters into Towers and gives them use again. It also makes them 2 Card Super Poly Removal/Kaiju Monsters that can remove backrow or Floodgates.
What level are spells and traps worth a pop? Just 1?
@@trainerbrendan969 Essentially, just like tribute Summons cost 1 monster for a Level 5 or 6, Spells and Traps count as 1 card. So a level 8 Ritual of Masked Beast or vanilla BLS would take 2 cards. In this case you could do an opponents Skill Drain and Blue Eyes Max Dragon for example and now your BLS has immunity to Traps and Monster Effects, while also removing the Blue Eyes and Skill Drain from the field.
Dragunity just needs circular and it'd be tier 1. Level 4 winged beast dumps dragon tuner as cost, attaches it. When dragon is special summon add a dragunity spell trap (their counter trap) and then combo off from there as you have level 4 winged beast and level 2 dragon tuner. Plays decently into Maxx c cause you have a negate and you have another 3 starters in the deck
4:56 when I used to play dragonball CCG, I was watching PPG Events and apparently they did that, both players were shown each others decklist BEFORE the match, though that was only in top cut. I don't exactly hate it but I think there could be problems with that too 🤔
I want a complete redesign of the card layout.
- Using Icons for significant words, like "negate" or "target" or for game mechanics.
- Replace the old icons of spell and trap cards, with real icons.
- Better Typography
- Cards wich are part of an archetype should be easily identified as such, without reading the effect
so on ...
Ok, in addition to being able to attack the backrow, Pendulum Monsters in the spell/trap zone retain their ATK stat and perform damage calc
cattos take being in there twice is really funny
How about a new turn system?
Instead of turn 1 and turn 2 it'll be
Opponent's turn 1 then your turn 1 THEN when you pass again it'll be turn 2.
This could help slow the game down a bit. Because imagine being borreload savage negated for a hand trap and then going send the savage is online again and can negate another card. All once per turn affects will become slower to use and the going second player has a chance to fight back.
It would introduce some problems too because...imagine Maxx C being active both turns.....but let's brush that under the carpet for now
They should make yujo friendship but if your opponent gets chain link 5 you get to punch them
Ban all floodgates (ofc) hand traps, board breakers and equalizers and turn those individual cards(except floodgates) into a game mechanic that both players can use mid match, like turning ash, imperm, drnm into "skills"
I thought the 4 cards plus one search going second was a great idea….until the full horror of them adding Maxx C every game sank in.
there should be an extra extra deck for only hand traps and you can draw one card from it before your opponent's turn
Attacking backrow is a great idea honestly
They attempted this with a Dinosaur...can't recall its name but it canno attack if there are any cards on your opponents field
A hot take of mine would be implementing a mulligan rule for Yugioh in a tournament setting. You could draw a new starting hand only once per event. You could simply just ad it on the match slip if you used it. This would fix a lot of problems with brick hands. Just mo👍
Two takes:
1: You and your opponent show your deck to each other, like how Pokemon PvP works.
2: Make ban lists specific to archetypes. (Ie. Kashtira is banned from using Diabolos, but other archetypes can use it).
One problem with the second one is how to define if a person is playing an archetype
Are they doing that in Pokemon TCG tournaments? I never heard of it. Apart from that, the second option, you should not do it by talking about archetypes, but by doing complex bans on specific cards (you can play only 2 copies total among Fenrir AND Unicorn AND Diablosis in the same deck, for example).
@@doubl2480 I dunno about the Pokemon TCG, but in competitive Pokemon, players see what team the opponent is using (specifics aren’t listed though).
This is because competitive Pokemon (or VGC) is double battle format using 4 of your 6 in a BO3, and powercreep and Zoroark necessitated this.
The official Pokemon TCG tournies only let you use cards from packs up to a certain date, with (as far as I’m aware) no real banlist for current cards unless it’s real necessary.
@@gallantblade1825 Yeah the Pokemon TCG use rotation. But the idea of playing with an open decklist in a card game (instead of a videogame) is something totally different, I must say, that's why I was surprised xD
17:03 Ngl, as much as the idea is a logistical nightmare, the example with Ra was pretty solid. I think this would be a fun Konami should implement 😂
Attacking back row? Now that’s bringing in an ancient Duelist kingdom idea. Sorta
Need to log in 7 days for the raid sponsored character from now, July 20th, until July 24.
Thanks farfa!
That Draw 4 add one was actually a good idea too, like 4 off the top, add them back reshuffle. I’d happily play with rules like that for me or my opponent 🤷♂️
Didn't Necrovalley get a buff errata ?
My hot take: The EXTRA side deck.
Essentially bump the Side Deck up to 20 slots, but the extra 5 slots are exclusively for Extra Deck monsters. Space in the ED is really tight as it is, so it would allow the option to keep some generic options available for games 2 or 3 without sacrificing slots in the Extra deck.
Only balancing issue I can forsee is that Ghost Reaper & Winter Cherries could/would become extremely abusable and degenerate...
I hope someone suggested combining boxing and Yu-Gi-Oh. We can call it duel boxing and it would be the most anime event ever.
I want to see this happening. Maybe there's gonna be a lot of OTKO
Coder actually is onto something...
- your monsters can attack backrow
But...
- your monsters can also protect your backrow. Backrow can only be attacked, when the monster zone in front of it is empty.
To go even further...
- your monsters can attack your opponent directly, when both the monster and spell/trap zone in the same column is empty (so they need a clear line of sight)
For the EMZ idk...either they act as another zone you have to get through. Or maybe they "float above the battlefield" so they can ignore columns and attack whatever.
In short: make columns matter. Make ygo into some weird tower defense thingy.
Forklift deck lets you pick up your opponents card that’s in your zone and put it either in the back row or another zone. Really fuck up some link decks
