Great video, Dan. Do you make your own coffee in the trailer? Gotta stay caffeinated!
No i take a Thermos from home. You got that right “got to stay caffeinated”!!!☕️
Thank you Dan for sharing your knowledge and experience with us.
Thank you kindly..
Making dreams on paper reality on the ground even when it is really cold out there. Thanks Dan.
You’re welcome Tony.
Thank you for watching
Yes,keep em coming

You always say the laser is your favorite tool.....It was the star today!
Guess what! It broke. I will need another one asap!!
Welcome back to the current year. 100Kpm winds is what we dealt with here in the lower 48. As you probably know, California took the brunt of it.
Nice to be back in this year. Heard a a bit about California. I got a beautiful calm day today!
Lucky to be outside.
Thanks Dan, another one all chalked up in the wind. Stay anchored buddy.
LOL well said!
Happy new year Dan, when is the next vidéo on this projet..
I am trying to be more regular with releasing videos. Thanks for watching Mario.
I'm sorry if you've been asked this before, but have you ever tried the blue dye chalk? It works great
No I have not tried it.
I have always used red chalk.
Thank you for watching Anthony!
I believe red is more permanent. Blue will wash off in rain. So blue chalk is easier to erase and less likely to leave permanent marks compared to red chalk, which tends to be more permanent.
@sirdanalot320 You can buy chalk with dye in it, red or blue, we used blue because that's what we preferred. It doesn't wash off, it actually stands out brighter and makes it way easier to see
Next time just make a pencil mark on the styrofoam ..move laser out of the way then measure ..so you don’t crank your neck
Oh my gosh! Thank you! Why did i not think of that. ✌️
Hi mate correct me if I’m wrong … so they poured the walls with the plates insitu ? No moisture barriers on the bottom of the plates ? Are your winters always windy ?
Yes winters bring a lot of wind.
Its a standard detail/practice in some parts of Canada (out east anyway) to embed pressure treated 2x4 wood plates but this is the first time I have seen the anchor bolts attached to the embedded plate. Typically they are inboard of the embedded plate and pass up through to the bottom plate. I have often questioned the point of using the embedded plate and why some contractors use them and others don't. I would be curious to hear Dan's opinion on it. The only benefit I see is that it provides a wood surface for the sheathing to butt against so the sheathing does not have to stick out board of the foundation.
@ bear in the rough.
@ ever thought of moving to Arizona 😆
What would you do if a foundation was out of square 2 inches in 48 feet? Has it ever happened to you?
Yes it has. Trying to split the difference. One side would hang over a bit and the other side would be in to far.
You missed pizza day Dan
Shit. Your right i did
