Because these people know that if they claim potential death and threats from their country or government, they can potentially gain asylum. Which is a very failed system that people take advantage of. Not refugees but well off people

He got caught and now making excuses and throwing everyone under the bus and his wife will believe him and not understand the serious nature of what he did.....
26:10 - "the Indian government will kill me.."
Ha, ha, ha! Such a transparent lie, one could see through it right away. Amazed that the immigration officer there would even entertain that notion!
Maybe his mafia gang would have collared him for losing 18,000 cigarettes. But why on earth would the Indian government bother with a *cigarette* smuggler?
Because these people know that if they claim potential death and threats from their country or government, they can potentially gain asylum. Which is a very failed system that people take advantage of. Not refugees but well off people
Having watched a lot of Hindi and Tamil movies, I just assumed he meant a corrupt government official in charge of the smuggling racket or something. Because every other movie has a corrupt politician/official/cop as the villain. Yes, based bolly/kollywood action movies showing the hero beating up a dozen dirty cops. You love to see it.
yeah, the dog ate my schoolwork. 😂
why dont they jail the employers im seeing corruption
Michael Caine - wow
So whut ??
Throw those tobacco smugglers in prison. Not only are they crooks but traitors as well.
Mr. Cain a true gentleman.
Indian law hardly kills anyone, even the hardcore criminals are pardoned or released. UKs undeserving hospitality and lack of punishment is the main reason for repeated offenders again and again trying their best to get in to UK. The more they try, the more they learn how to evade/bluff immigration.
18 000 cigarettes? What a sudden coincidence! What a surprise offence!
After dishonesty and willingness to smuggle is established, any statement of foreign consequences should be ignored. Ship them back!
Tge man in the yellow shirt deserves a Oscar award. He sure is putting on a good show
Person who claims that they don’t have passport they should be detained and expense should be paid by the person who employed them illegally
How in the world did that Indian guy think he was going to fly in 18000 cigarettes and not be noticed??? He must've expected help from someone at customs. There was a mole there that has been sneaking contraband
Clandestines seem to think this is funny - over and over and over. They (officials) accomplish nothing by returning to country or other origin only to have them try again. Changes need to be made, what or how I don't know. I feel frustrated just watching the videos. Sad really!
The''''' Clandestines think it's funny'''' because the authority think it's funny,
playing up to the camera instead of acting professional, if you notice in Libya
they are so respectful to the people who put themselves in charge, because
these people do not play around, the migrants are afraid of them
They need to jail them like we do here in America. It’s a great deterrent if they know they’ll spend a few weeks in a horrible hot jail.
It's funny to them because they realised ho stupid the British law is.
I don't think they find it funny, its called being sheepish. They got caught and they don't really understand the language nor what is really happening with all the cameras and stuff. So they just smile. And from what they shown on the show, the Clandestines don't seem to be hostile. They're persistent but when they're caught, they seem to cooperate with the authorities.
@@deidradahl2802 So you want the authorities to intimidate and insult the Clandestines? What does that achieve? You know they are going to be relentless. If they authorities are intimidating, the Clandestines are going to be less likely to cooperate. If you hadn't realise, these men and women sometimes travel with children or are perched in really precarious positions. Intimidating them means someone's bound to get hurt real bad. The officers have done a good job.
50 thousand dollars fine???! Fck my life i literally had heart attack hearing that 😵😵😵
That guy didn't even react to it hahaha
18,000 cigarettes, smoking 3 packs a day would last 300 days. That's not out of the realm of possibilities.
When illegal immigrants are discovered in the UK, if they have no passport, the Home Office instructs the Immigration Officers to release them into the community and tell them to report to a certain office every two weeks. What a wonderful system and comment would be superfluous.
They’ll still have something to complain about it’s wonderful really
That ID/ passport rule is funny. They also investigate the passengers to the hilt then let them go too
You want them to be put in jail? wasting tax payers money on them?
@@moh6374 Seems like you dont know the difference between illegal immigrants and citizens. I have never heard an Illegal immigrant complain about the country they are in.
The clandestines smiling, they have no punishment for traspassing property, damaging cargo
French need to change their laws. All they are doing is catch and release to try again. If you imprison or detain them their embassy will want to help them home. Ah I see GB plays catch and release too.
Most of them don't have any documents, their original countries won't take them back without proper identification.
And some seeking for help cause they will be in danger if they’re back.
@@samisaeed2344 Because the people from who they borrowed money from in their home country want their money back.....?
It is illegal in the EU to make a person a non resident.
In order for any EU country to deport any individual it most have confirmation of that person's country of origin.
If someone says their life is threatened if sent back home...so what is your crime or incident??
English speaking countries: "We are the best countries in the world!"
Immigrants: "Let's all go to England and live like kings!"
After watching all these videos. I can’t imagine the type of stuff, that’s coming into our southern borders!after watching these
18000 cigs, I apologise.
Officer: Well, that's all we were expecting. Would you please roll a loose for the Queen? 😂😂😂😂😂
Look at how nervous the employer is after receiving the fine information. He’s about to pluck the button off his shirt….
Anyone fluent in that man's country and gestures know why he kept pulling his ears?
I am from India and in some parts it means I am sorry
I am an indian, it is done to show one's sincere apology.
What disrespect that man has shown to the Indian government. Selling out on your people and it’s government that easy? What a fluff of a man.
OMG IT'S ALFRED FROM BATMAN! @1:48 omg lol tell me it isn't people?!
MICHAEL CAINE! I thought I was the only one to notice how are there not more comments about this? Not only Alfred but also Austin Powers father.
Yea that was him. That’s why lady told him to pull up his hat and she said I know who you are 😌👍
Yup ..
And that was when he got back from that fake sailing trip with the Russian dancers..
@@thcSlipVayne Sir Michael Caine...lol And also (for us older people) Lieutenant Gonville Bromhead of the 24th regiment of Foot. (Zulu)
So, he says he wishes it had taken less time. Well, maybe if you didnt look like Boris from the Bullwinkle Show, they wouldn't have had to ask so many questions.
Is this a cultural thing to pull your ears like the dude is doing as a sign of being truthful? I never saw an adult or a child in my life before use this ear-pulling gesture for any reason.
I like the episode because the voice of the narrator sounds so good.
Indian gov will not kill him or harrass them.
They will face Indian judicial system.
They will be arrested and produced before court.
If he is lucky then will court will suspend his passport with a fine.
If he is unlucky and gets a strong sentence then he might go to Jail.
India will not show soft corners to such smugglers.
With respect from Bangalore, India.
If they started fining people £1 for every cigarette over the limit the smuggling problem would end tomorrow…”I’m apologize” just shouldn’t cut it.
Not only are they trying to enter a country illegally they ruin a whole truck worth the food.
Disgusting
Nope. It'll still end up on the shelf
Why does not UK govt revoke license of hotel owners who employ illegal workers?
What a waste of money. If they don’t have a passport and they won’t tell you where they are from, just drop them off wherever you think they are from. Otherwise, you are incentivizing them to destroy their passports upon entry into the UK so they can play the system. Not to mention, if they figured out a way into the UK, they can figure out a way to their home.
Whoa! At 54-years, I just came to the incredible enlightenment. Why are we constituting all these LAWS to keep us divided? Let people live their journey.
Ok, ok sharing time! The only time I got stopped at Heathrow, it was when I was traveling from Greece to UK, when I was a Matrox technician, from all the equipment and tools, they seized my fav skrewdriver. Bare in mind that they let me keep all the other tools (including my other skrewdrivers) . I was so distraught, since it was they only good proper magnetic one. Something about length I think... Or they really liked my skrewdriver! 😌
this cigarette man is full of it, he’s trying to take advantage of the asylum laws, these people have no shame whatsoever. 🙄
No they dont. The people that come from india to u.s., get a grant from the government ( that they dont pay back) buy motels, gas stations food franchises and aren't liable to pay state and federal taxes for 7 years. Towards the end of that 7 years, they give there business over to a family member so they're not responsible for taxes. They keep doing this switching back and forth. That really infuriates people. The american dream is only for foreigners....not for americans.
Interesting that they didn't inform the Indian guy about the appeals process. If he did appeal he would have remained in the country until a decision was made.
That 1st CA is definitely no nonsense 😮
i wish the law of south africa was like that,we were going to live with peace, your doing a great work guys, keep clean your country
Unfortunately SA is just ****
