    Ingredients: Cauliflower Stem Curry
    1 tbsp oil
    1 tsp cumin seeds (¾ teaspoon ground)
    1 tsp coriander seeds (¾ teaspoon ground)
    ½ large white onion, diced
    ½ tsp ground turmeric
    ⅛ tsp hot chilli powder
    1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced or grated (¼ teaspoon ground)
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 cup canned diced tomatoes with juices
    1 cauliflower stems and leaves only, chopped
    ½ cup split red lentils (rinsed)
    1 cup chickpeas (optional)
    2 cup vegetable broth (homemade for extra savings)
    1 ½ tsp garam masala

    What are your favourite cauliflower recipes? Do you roast it, blend it, rice it, smother it in sauce, make a pizza with it... let me know here!

      I drizzle olive oil and salt on it and roast it. I try to recreate a delicious dish I had in Israel. Very simple but wonderful.

    A pet peeve of mine is all the waste left over from the stems so this is SUPER useful

      I’m glad you like it! Thank you for watching! I’m located on the west coast of Canada and like most things these days the cost of certain food items has really gone up. Cauliflower seems to be one those lately!

      I just paid $3 per head on the East coast of the US.

      I’m on the west coast of Canada and they can be verryyyy expensive! Not always but this has been the case as of late. Here’s hoping for cheaper cauliflower in 2024!

    Lovely recipe but just a small correction. Cauliflower stem curry is made in many parts of India so please do not label it as a “traditional Punjabi recipe.”
