yes, i'm white but my hair is kinda wavy kinda curly, and no matter how hard I try it's always very frizzy and then someone always comes to mess with him that makes him worse

I am not black (obviously look at my pfp lol), but regardless I think it is so important to have inclusivity of hair color, types, and textures. These videos are my absolute favorite, and when I was searching them up on RUclips I remember seeing only brunette and blonde wigs with straight or wavy hair and like one ginger wig and one pink wig. This video popped up on my recommended feed and I am so happy to see it. Regardless of politics, it is so important to include and represent everyone and I am so happy to see you doing that 💕
I hope this series never ends 🙏 if you run out of ideas you could always just do blonde or red hair themed I don't even need to feel like it's my hair colour or style to be soooo relaxed!!!🥰
These videos remind of when I was little and I would play with another girl’s hair in class and constantly hearing my teacher say “Ladies this isn’t a hair salon!” 😂
I love how inclusive you are and how u did your research first with the hair being heavy and oiling our scalp, most white ppl and others who don’t have African hair textures usually don’t know these things and are confused when we say things like this thanks so much 🥰🥰
i really love this series! I’ve only usually ever seen asmrists use normals striaght hair but I love how you have made videos and included different types of hair and the different ways they take care of it (like in this one with the oils and what not) I love this so much !
I know everyone is (rightly!) talking about the importance and inclusivity of including diverse hair types in this kind of asmr video, but I also wanna say that Eda’s hair looks extra pretty here too 🥰
As soon as I saw braids I HAD to check it out. They look like mine. This is FANTASTIC. I found myself trying to guess how many. You're awesome for this.
My mom walked in my room to take my dog outside and she asked me what am I listening to because I was listing to this while I was sleeping and i told her and she was like "oh okay it sounds relaxing" so my mom and me think your video is really relaxing and it helps me sleep so thank you
oOoh yes! love the braids. have u ever listened to the sound of braids w beads on the end? 😌 it's a great trigger! (I hope seeing inclusive "hair rolepays" become the norm. there's more than enough long straight hair ones, excited to see afros & more braids 😁 plus i love learning about how other ppl do their hair. that'd be cool to!)
this makes me so nostalgic for high school and the drama. and makes me feel comforted, for right now and in a nostalgic sense i do miss this kind of thing. i love the hair variety you’re doing, every hair type has been soo tingly and you are so beautiful and such a calm and sweet and tingly voice 😴💜 beautiful! thank you eda!❤️❤️
These hair texture videos make me so happy!!! I really hope this catches on because it’s so inclusive, especially for POC. Not to mention more immersive. It’s so hard for me to get into straight hair brushing videos, but the curls and the braids are perfect!
This should be normalized. It's weird seeing that straight hair is the default in asmr yet curly hair & braids makes the best sounds. Or maybe that's just me. The literal first Asmr hair video I could vicriously live though-- er sleep through. With straight hair, I never felt like they were talking to me...just another girl with straight/wavy hair. I love this, thanks.
i agree with the fact that it should be normalized. i can only assume that the reason that it’s not is because it’s probably easier to make videos with straight hair and not styling them, probably letting the creator make more videos. either way i do hope more asmr creators do different styles of hair. ^^
i agree the only thing i'll poke in here is that straight hair is much more accommodating for brushing videos too. wish there was short hair videos too
@@flavorlessteabagstudios1532 there are some curly hair and braided wigs that can be purchased, as well. So it’s possible that the ASMRtist may have styled the straight wigs they use, or they just purchase the different styles.

The fact that you asked for permission to touch her hair 🙌🏾❤️ it’s rude for people to just touch our hair. It’s like we’re pets or like they have never seen black peoples hair before and just have no manners. So that part really meant a lot. ❤️ 1:03
I love this so much😊 It feels great for other people to understand that black women enjoy all these things too!! With an approach that started with asking for permission first it just shows a level of basic respect that can open so many doors of communication & friendship. Back in the day In the inner city my friends and I would play with each other’s hair while sitting outside on a hot summer day and most of us loved that. We’d “grease” each other’s scalps after getting our hair braided and that feeling could put you to sleep. We had no idea what ASMR was we just knew we felt cared for and cozy
Was watching your afro video and came across this whilst scrolling through your page. Realised I've never once seen an ASMRtist incorporate braids and immediately had to click. I really love the inclusivity of these videos she’s been doing with different hair types and textures. It’s rare and super important. I also LOVE the realism and conversations she has with us along the way.
I find a lot of peace and comfort in her videos. 🥰🥰🥰
I literally just got braids and this video was sooo relaxing like I got my own hair played with!! I love how inclusive this is and I love your videos ❤️. Thank you for this
i Have a questions about braids: is it rude to ask to play with the person's hair? Because I know it is rude to ask to touch their hair but what about play with it?
@@lexidonald3865 when I was in school the girls wouldnt even ask they would just play with it esp while in math class and I didnt mind I was very shy and awkward and honestly it was nice to feel noticed and included even if it was just girls I never really talked to playing with my hair, and it was really relaxing. But everyone's different. Esp bc now as an adult if anybody just came over playing with my hair esp if it's not friends or family I'd probably throw hands. But if they asked id probably say yes. :)
@@lexidonald3865 but no I personally dont think its rude :)
correct and touching i have been taught is like asking to touch or something like that and i assume that would be like what eda did
@@lexidonald3865 if someone asked to play with my hair I would totally be okay with it because it’s super relaxing especially when you’re still super tight. It also depends on the person, I’m more chill so If someone asked to touch it I would fee honored asf😭
Queen, you slayed this one. Seeing everyone feel so included in your ASMRs makes me so happy and makes this extra tingly.

You’re the savior of my life, let’s marry
I'm not a POC but I have a lot of friends who have braids, and the amount of respect she has asking to play with it isn't something I see often 😂
Also the "mind your own business" killed me 💀
@•Rage Playz• person of color
I can tell this is becoming a series. Can you do an afro next?????
Or an afro, I would love to see that.
@@Des_. for black history month she should do black hairstyles and talk about the meaning behind that hairstyle

These videos remind of when I was little and I would play with another girl’s hair in class and constantly hearing my teacher say “Ladies this isn’t a hair salon!” 😂
if jay doesn’t stop getting in trouble i swear
Wait...is it Jay or Jake? Or are they two different people?
👀
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@Jay-ue5ke stop getting in trouble 😒
I love how inclusive you are and how u did your research first with the hair being heavy and oiling our scalp, most white ppl and others who don’t have African hair textures usually don’t know these things and are confused when we say things like this thanks so much 🥰🥰
i really love this series! I’ve only usually ever seen asmrists use normals striaght hair but I love how you have made videos and included different types of hair and the different ways they take care of it (like in this one with the oils and what not) I love this so much !
I love the inclusiveness behind this video and how she asking the most appropriate questions 🤍thank you for this
I know everyone is (rightly!) talking about the importance and inclusivity of including diverse hair types in this kind of asmr video, but I also wanna say that Eda’s hair looks extra pretty here too 🥰
as someone who constantly wears - and currently is wearing - braids, i feel very seen and represented right now (((:
As soon as I saw braids I HAD to check it out. They look like mine. This is FANTASTIC. I found myself trying to guess how many. You're awesome for this.
My mom walked in my room to take my dog outside and she asked me what am I listening to because I was listing to this while I was sleeping and i told her and she was like "oh okay it sounds relaxing" so my mom and me think your video is really relaxing and it helps me sleep so thank you
I honestly love this BC she also like interacts with things around her like the notebook and talking to the classmate. And the gossiping 10/10
oOoh yes! love the braids. have u ever listened to the sound of braids w beads on the end?
2:18 the ICONIQUE hair flip, the “mind your own business” then proceeding to roast the teacher’s pet 😂😂😂🔥👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I’m dying after watching that lol
I know you’re supposed to be playing with hair but you’re actually playing with my heart. Stop it.

Damn maybe it's just me but this specific texture of hair is so much more tingly than any straight hair asmr I've ever heard- I'm in heaven rn
There aren’t many videos on RUclips of the girl in class playing with hair, I looove this series you’re doing (with the different hair types too)
her hair videos are so inclusive for all hair types. it’s nice to see everyone being able to actually imagine themselves in the video
i thought _class_ said _chess_ and got so excited 😂 either way, i know this video will be incredible. thanks for the content eda
haha! 😂
Hello there, fellow chess lover 😩
@@Urm0mxoxo this is mad late but it’s actually eda who got me into chess. she watched the queen’s gambit and wanted to play it on on stream

Vicariously*
i agree with the fact that it should be normalized. i can only assume that the reason that it’s not is because it’s probably easier to make videos with straight hair and not styling them, probably letting the creator make more videos.
either way i do hope more asmr creators do different styles of hair. ^^
i agree the only thing i'll poke in here is that straight hair is much more accommodating for brushing videos too. wish there was short hair videos too
@@Des_. I thought this was someone correcting you and I was about to go off on them 😂 carry on
@@flavorlessteabagstudios1532 there are some curly hair and braided wigs that can be purchased, as well. So it’s possible that the ASMRtist may have styled the straight wigs they use, or they just purchase the different styles.
A childhood friend of mine just died from a tragic accident at the age of 19, and needless to say, I’ve been having trouble sleeping - so I had to come back and rewatch some of my favorite hair videos. Tysm for being there for us and having such a variety of videos, Eda!
Well wishes to you! ❤️
THIS IS WHAT WE LIKE TO CALL INCLUSIVITY! Yassssss girl, keep them coming please! Not only did you invite us to the party but you asked us to dance. 💞🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽😭😭
Wow… not only did I get some of the deepest most intense tingles I’ve ever had in my life, but you are literally the best actress I have ever seen on any asmr channel on all of RUclips. Everything you’re doing puts me right in the scenario with you, and it is the best experience that I have ever had on any channel ever. I was typing this comment and when I heard you start to count I literally got the biggest tingle, closed my eyes and just that fast every thought left my brain 🥺🥰🙌🏽💞🤷🏻♀️🤩. You are AMAZING. You just gained a lifetime subscriber.
This reminds me of my days in middle school when girls wanted to play in my hair & I would fall asleep during movies in class with the lights out.✨✨🥰😍 Good memories!!! This video puts me straight to sleep in less than 2 minutes. Thank you Eda! You’re extremely pretty🦋
This takes me back to high school, which was not necessarily a happy time for me, but one of the best parts was listening to gossip, yet only half-understanding it because of forced whispering lol.
“will u mind ur own business 👿”
*whispering*
*at the same volume* “nah she’s not smart”
katie, probably: 😳
"you mind your own business" not only am i relaxed im entertained and laughing. youre my fav. 💕
This girl is lucky to have you! You’re soooo sweet to her! Asking her if it’s ok to play with her cool braids and scratching her scalp! More ppl need to be like you :)

I have just discovered this channel....and I am obsessed!!!! The sassy personality is everything!!!
lol these videos are so accurate. I legit feel like I’m in high school again
I love these back of the class hair play role plays! They’re so relaxing and nostalgic for me. I used to love when people played with my hair 💆🏽♀️ I’m a relatively new subscriber and I’m loving your content so far! Your clicky whisper is perfect.
Love that youre being more inclusive with this series 💗 super tingly as always 😍😍😍😍😍
The fact that you asked for permission to touch her hair 🙌🏾❤️ it’s rude for people to just touch our hair. It’s like we’re pets or like they have never seen black peoples hair before and just have no manners. So that part really meant a lot. ❤️ 1:03
❤️
I love how you are incorporating all types and styles of hair. It’s super inclusive and very thoughtful!
man, you should have a soundtrack playing softly in the background of a teacher talking. that would be the cherry on top!
Yey I'm here just at the right time! Now.. how fast can I grow my hair to braid lol 😂 Thank you Eda! ❤
haha❤
I love this so much😊 It feels great for other people to understand that black women enjoy all these things too!! With an approach that started with asking for permission first it just shows a level of basic respect that can open so many doors of communication & friendship. Back in the day In the inner city my friends and I would play with each other’s hair while sitting outside on a hot summer day and most of us loved that. We’d “grease” each other’s scalps after getting our hair braided and that feeling could put you to sleep. We had no idea what ASMR was we just knew we felt cared for and cozy
AHHH! It made me so happy to see this video as someone who wears braids often
Was watching your afro video and came across this whilst scrolling through your page. Realised I've never once seen an ASMRtist incorporate braids and immediately had to click. Kinda teared up thinking about it. I love my braids, and it's so nice to see others appreciating them too. Thank you for being so inclusive!

At my last job I had a black coworker who had very beautiful braids and I asked her alot of questions about her hair because I really didn't know anything about natural hair at all. It was truly fascinating to learn about how much work and care is put into natural hair and I seriously applaud yall for how much effort that takes, shit sounds painful and expensive fr 😩🙏
