One thing I deeply miss about childhood is my friends playing with my hair. That doesn't happen in adulthood anymore (unless I'm paying someone to style my hair), and I miss it. There's something so intimate about playing with hair, even if it's a mindless activity done while daydreaming in class. ❤️
When I was a kid, I hated my big, curly hair so much. I would literally slather it with gel to make it flat on my head. There was this girl in the back of my sixth period class who would sit behind me and run her nails down each crunchy stand of my hair until she broke the hard gel off. It felt so good.
I would leave class with big, bouncy, fluffy hair. I was so embarrassed at first, but I couldn’t say no when she would ask. It felt too good. I finally learned to stop caring about my big hair, then I learned to love it.
Watching this literally brings back one of the sweetest memories of my life and I feel so safe and appreciated.

I have dark brown curly hair, and i remember when I sat by this guy in class (now that I think back on it, pretty sure he liked me) but he’d like reach over and gently pull some of my curls down and let them bounce back into place and he’d call them “Celebratory boings” it was actually super cute and never failed to make me laugh and smile when he would do it :).

Omg this was my life in high school. Girls would want to play with my hair all the time. I would get very flustered when a cute girl asked me if she could touch it lol. I had a hard time socializing with other girls (cuz autism) and this was one of the times that I felt very comfortable.

Ayyy autistic curly gang rise up! Unfortunately I never had anyone ask to play with my hair bc it was very dry and damaged at the time so it wasn’t pretty. An old friend always used to play with my curls in class, she loved pulling them and watch them bounce back. Even tho it could potentially mess up my hair I loooved the feeling 🤤 I hated it when the teacher would tell us to stop and that this ain’t a salon, like bro let me enjoy this free massage

My hair is wavy, and messy and pretty ugly, it’s more of a red/brown color. And super thick as a kid my daycare teachers would always play with it, they would buy little hair ties and different hair clips and style it, but as I grew up no one touched it.

Finally. An asmrist that roleplay plays with curly hair. Mines wiked curly, like bad curls, and no one really runs their fingers through it often, but when someone does, it makes my day seeing them happy, like this video makes me happy. Thanks for the content to enjoy, keep it up!
There's no such thing as bad curls, just curls that need some more loving! I highly recommend Manes by Mell, she taught me how to take care of my curls and it boosted my confidence so much.

Long story short I had a really bad experience in middle school with a guy friend who was way to touchy for my comfort. I’m working on it now but I still get that stomach drop fear feeling often when people bump me in hallways or wave their hands or arms around my head. But I have two friends in my class who braid my (curly) hair sometimes, and I love and appreciate them so much for that because it’s a touch I’ve gotten comfortable with. I’m on spring break now so I can’t see them, but this video reminded me of them so thank you for that. I appreciate what you do 🥰.

I hate whispering but yours is so calm! I love this video more than I can reasonably express. I've always enjoyed having my hair played with, so as a kid, I was really envious of my straight-haired classmates who would spend the day giving each other braids. But all I got was other kids wordlessly walking up and yanking on my hair to see how high the curls would bounce. Being politely asked by a classmate to gently mess with my hair was all I wanted, so I'm grateful to have a way of making up for missing out on that now. Thank you for all you do!

growing up, i had really tight and pretty curls that my mom would literally straighten every morning before school. i personally loved my curls, idk why she decided to straighten them, it was such a hassle and ik neither of us enjoyed just sitting there doing it. she eventually stopped when she realized it was basically a waste of time
i’ve lost the curls through time (and hair dye), and it just puffs up now, but i’ve noticed that when it rains, my hair just slightly starts to curl back up and it makes me so happy to see them again :)

Thank you for using curly hair 💕 mine is super curly and I love it but I dislike when ppl ask if I have ever or would straighten it. I’m speaking for myself when I say that it makes me feel like my curly hair isn’t as pretty as straight hair. When someone tries to touch my hair I move away because it causes frizz and messes up my curls. Any curly girl will tell you how difficult it can be to get our curls just right. We don’t wake up looking like that. lol

I have fine curly hair so it’s big, frizzy, and everyone notices it. I have come back to this video since it came out to fall asleep. For some reason this video really does it for me. It’s helped me through a recent really difficult breakup.
