I've seen these Irish centres both in the UK and US, and my assumption is that they were originally opened as like community hubs for Irish people living in these cities back when it wasn't as easy to be an Irish person in the UK. I went to one in Buffalo NY and they were nearly in tears when I said I was from Ireland. Great video again Guru, please keep at it.
As someone who lives 15 mins from Newcastle, I’ve been waiting for this one. As for the channel, Travel stuff would be cool, maybe city break ideas and activities with pub reviews would be class. I think your demographic (I imagine it’s a lot of blokes like me in the 25 to 40yrs range) would get behind it
Guru…your patter has improved so much over the years and it was always good from the start. And I think most people watch your channel for you, not just the Guinness. How about travel type vlogs that centre around a particular dish or drink at a particular restaurant or pub, with extra commentary on that village, town or area? Keep up the good work, whatever it might be 👍🏼
I’m from America and because of you I fell in love with guinness and you helped me out on my first trip to Ireland on all the spots to go. Please don’t stop doing guinness videos.

I just want to thank you for introducing me to the black stuff, I watch all your videos and love your content bro. I used to hate Guinness but now I’m hooked. Keep up the good work son you know it makes sense.
Will be really sad if the Guinness stuff stops completely, but doing more stuff outside of Guinness as well as the usual I think could be best way forward maybe and please most people? Either way, we started watching for the Guinness but we kept watching for u👍
The Tyne Bar and the Free Trade are great bars too, incidentally, your drone footage of the Quayside and bridges is top draw, Im often out and about on the quayside, Durham is another great city to visit.
What fettle bonny lad. One of my favourite cities in these islands, right there. I hear what you're saying about the Guinness ratings coming to a natural end around now. It's sad all right, but I get it. I'm glad I found this channel before my trip to Dublin last year, and I'm glad it helped take me to the Gravediggers, for instance. That content will abide; and every now and then you might find you want to update it, or put a new spin on it. For the future, I wondered how you'd feel about reporting on other great beer-drinking/pubgoing cities, like Prague, or Munich, or Cologne? I know your tastes are broadening, but I don't know how far! I like your no-nonsense approach, and I think it would work in places like that.
I went to the Gravediggers last week on the way back to the airport. Wonderful experience and I found it through this channel also. I live in Newcastle and I’ve never had a Guinness here! I’ll put that right with the suggestions on here.
Would love an episode where he tries out the different Kolsch breweries. But then again the joy of cologne is sitting at one spot, getting loads at the table and racking up marks on the beer mat
So happy you've finally done Newcaslte as its close to me although I agree the guinness isn't amazing. I'd be really gutted if you completely put the Guinness Guru to bed although I can completely see how its kinda come to the end of its life due to there only being so many cities and pubs you can review for a Guinness and I speak for everyone who would agree they would like to see you grow even further as a youtuber. It would be cool to switch the content up and maybe integrate the Guinness Guru into some parts of the content depending on the video.
Might be worth making a separate video discussing the future of the channel? Still love the content though but I think New York was defo your peak and I can understand wanting to branch out more. Ultimately, I watch the videos for your personality and the Guinness is secondary!
For the extra cold there's a second cooler that the line goes through under the bar, it wouldn't affect the other pump. The issue is, as a mainly lager drinking country, the cellar will be kept absolutely freezing anyway unless you go to somewhere that specialises in real ales.
Could you do Durham next time? It's like 10 minutes south from Newcastle. I'm studying there and there are lots of nice pubs. I would reccomend the Shakespeare or Ye Old Elm Tree for a nice Guinness.
Definitely a one off with the bridge hotel spillage as all the pints I've had there have been great ,also think some different types of travel videos would be sound lad, keep up the good work
I was in the bridge hotel, decent pint. I think we all knew that this would come to an inevitable ending. Hope this is stepping stone to a broader career. Top man Darragh.

Back in the late '90s it was the Tyneside Irish Centre that had the best pint, as they were bringing it over direct from home, whereas all the stuff available elsewhere in the UK was brewed here. Now it's all brewed at home and shipped from Ireland. A lot of which comes to Runcorn. Not been in the Irish Centre since about late 2000. It's changed a bit. Was like a working men's club back then. Been ponsed up a bit now. Last time I was there, when I came outside there was a girl squatted down on the other side of the road with her dress gathered up round her waist and her knickers pulled to one side, pissing into a drain. Newcastle is a classy town.
Im travelling over to Newcastle regularly for last 20 years and only 2 places that do decent guinness are first 2 you went to i normally find the Bridge hotel decent its only place i would drink it over there
Tyneside Irish centre is very under rated. I worked there during my uni days and back then Guinness was our bread and butter and we all had out certificates for the 'perfect pour' Gutted you didn't get an old style glass, they do have them cos my hubby gets one when he's drinking it.x

I agree with The Guinness Guru when it comes to Greggs, its shite, I live in Yorkshire and much prefer Thomas The Baker bakeries which are all over the yorkshire region, pasties, pastries and sandwiches taste better and the bread is fresher, the coffee is awful at Greggs as well, you dont have to go to a posh hipster coffee place, although their coffee is better, just any cafe with a coffee/espresso machine will be better than Greggs, it just goes to show how much you are simply paying for the brand and not quality, at least with Guinness it is still a big brand but you still get a great quality pint if its poured correctly and being in Ireland helps, all the workers in Greggs do is press a button for the coffee and it tastes like burnt cement!
I lived in Nottingham for 9 years. Big destination for Stags and Hens. Not saying the Guinness is great there but a good city for content. Sheffield is also a great spot if you haven't done that
