Usually a microfiber cloth is enough for my mac screen but i use distilled water for harder smudges to remove. Tho my screen is usually clean and I only get smudges near the camera when u open it

Water left me streaks and spots. Maybe you have some good water. Mine is hard

@@TeamResearchGroup mhm. Hardwater being harder is more likely to scratch the surface. I just use water from the water purifier as the hardness is low, so its softer and it having less salts in it means its better in dissolving all the gunk on the screen.
Moved away from sprays as used lens cleaning solution once and it did messup the screen coating

I just use dish soap and warm water. Works like a charm. Even with our hard water.
