Modulate EQ as an effect for filter sweaps or rhythmic polsing either by manual Record, Drawn, or side chain a LFO to do it.
@@HOLLASOUNDS You know, as great as that sounds, it takes alot of work fs. I love dynamic EQ, and I seriously think that automatic EQ's could have massive potential. Something along the like of automating dynamic bands, so truly nothing would be static. Besides SmartEQ and GullFoss, I wait for the day that brings that concept to reality. Because so far nothing has tapped that potential to "Automation", or at least I'm ignorant to it anyways. Which is probably a good thing, because I can't afford anything, already as it is
@@jacobgardiepy4724 This Isotope plugin is a good visual dynamic EQ yes but Im talking about good old fashioned movement of a EQ peak to create various audio effects and its something I learned early because it sounds good and I noticed that it was very popular sound in Hiphop snd EDM. After over 15 years doing it by hand, I just seam to be able to maake the perfect EQ fluctuations that work the best, and every though its a basic technique its drastically different depending on what I do, its a highly valuable tool for Me in every project.
side chaining to cut through the mix
@@jacobgardiepy4724 Its not alot of work you just record you moving a EQ knob I do it in every tune I make, as standerd, its a very useful tool and something the pros have done for decades using hardware.
Praise God in Jesus name. Wonderful video that's straight to the point and simple explanations of each Eq frequency. Thank you.
So happy to hear that 🤩
Yes Praise God in Jesus name
De Ana thanks for this and vid is saved
Ayy glad it helped 🎉
Acapella mode in Audio Lens!! Mind blown. Had no idea that existed. iZotope keeps on innovating. Love it. Great video. :) - PS too bad my upgrade path to V4 of Nectar is a bit steep right now. hehe
Excellent video! Thanks for the info regarding de-essing and EQ.
Informative as always, great stuff!
Thanks so much!
Y'all read my mind.
I have used EQ the normal ways however I love using aa two band EQ as a filter effect, by recording manual modulation, to do filter sweaps, and rhythmic pulsing effects. Very effective and drastically chang the sound and brings sounds to life instead of staying the same throughout a production.
SHE LOOKS GORGEOUS 😮
Shes giving good information too.
In general, I find it's best to start cutting unwanted frequencies before adding anything. The 500-1k (really around 800) range generally had something that makes the vocal feel like the singer's hands are in front over their mouth. It's doesn't have to be a lot, and I personally don't like too narrow a Q (maybe 3-3.5 at MOST). Also, if you try boosting or cutting something and it doesn't give you the affect you want, remember, harmonic frequencies are mathematical. Try the same boost or cut an octave higher or lower (multiply or divide the frequency by 2). That might give you the result you're looking for.
Awesome video sis 😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Super informative thank you
So glad it's helpful! :)
🥳 🙌
Great thank you 👍
❤️❤️
You just nailed it in simple way,
thank you and dont forget that you're also smart.
🤓 appreciate you! 🙏🏻
Nice ❤❤
✨🎶🎵⭐️🌟Thank you for this🌟⭐️🎙️🎵🎶🎧🎼💻🌟⭐️🎵🎶✨🥰
Thank you so much miss bozo ❤
😁❤️
Any tips on CPU usage on these? think it's time for an upgrade :p
2:44 The male voice fundamental frequency starts around 100Hz, you don't need anything below that the female voice starts much higher about 200Hz, again you need nothing below that though those ranges can slide either dirction based on taste. Everyone get yourself a fundamental frequency chart, you can Google them and use it on your mixes. They will be cleaner and more punchy if you desire that.
I've recorded female singers that get too thin when cutting 200, and male vocals that sound better when cutting around 150-160. It's best to use your ears rather than say all male or all female vocals should be cut at a particular frequency.
Nopes ..male voice starts at 80hz and female 120 hz. Try yourself, listen and see. 😊
Hello Hello!!
Please make RX connect available within Studio One.
ALso, you can also try the ai function to test things out, and see what the AI gives you.
100% such a time saver 🙌
Pre-amps matter!!
Absolutely! I expanded on this a bit more in the previous vocal mixing video 😌
not knowing nectar, exactly what did you do at 3;22 so only the eq effect was audible (some plug-ins have a delta function to do this - is that what is going on and how did you activate the function?)
Whos hook is that ?I want that on a song as my hook
It's from a song I mixed a while back that will be coming out soon :) credits are in description for the meantime but it's part of an album project!
:D
subtitles please 🙂
iZotope team, please add a 3d interface to the new plugins. It is more interesting to work with him. (づ。◕‿◕。)づ
Yo wym? Like a physical, hardware interface? A iZotope interface would be really dope, but I imagine you could map to any midi controller if you knew what you're doing with the banks and stuff. If you're talking about a "VST Hub" of sorts, then visual mixer (by iZotope) is greatfor that; Not much relevance to "3D" though. If you mean just like a more "in-depth" UI, I honestly wouldn't expect that to happen for awhile. There isn't much software that has rendered graphics like that, but alot of them can definitely create the illusion of "3D". I'm just a huge iZotope fan, so I truly am curious as to what you meant
I do know that the only hardware that iZotope sells is the "Spire", there's only a few software brands in this market that sells hardware like that
@@jacobgardiepy4724 Yes, I also really like isotope products. I didn't mean the hardware, it's very hard to do. I was talking about a 3d interface in a plugin, for example iZotope Ozone 4-5, Nectar 2 and possibly iZotope Ozone 7.
However, I understand that not everyone likes the 3D interface, it would be great to be able to choose skins.
But for me, the 3D interface is much more interesting, it is more pleasant for you to work. I started with iZotope Ozone 10 but wanted to try the Ozone 4-5 demo. It was a completely different feeling. The sound is much better in the newer versions, but with the 3D interface, this plugin feels like a very powerful tool.
It's more interesting to work. It feels like something real ^-^
By the way, in addition to SPIRE, they also released ANR-B earlier. It is very interesting what they will do in the future.
