One thing I’m not sure was covered is his PT heat settings. All tracks are on “pre mode”, Drive 10:00, Tone 3:00. I have the screenshot if you’d like it! U a legend for this video!

If no one noticed Jaycen Joshua implements a method of top down mixing while setting up his buses depending on the frequency of the instrument/ multiple independent instrument frequencies to then send them all to a Sum Bus. Such an advanced way of mixing but your processing so much less.

Can we discuss plug-in alternatives? If you don’t already have many of the plugins in this template, you’re going to be spending a rack in order to bring it to life. I’ll start. The $24 Klanghelm MJUC is reportedly in a blind test, extremely difficult to distinguish from the El Ray. There’s also a free version.

Where did you get the evidence for the Subwoofer & Lo AIR settings? he has never shown these as far as I'm aware?
His template is available to Mix With The Masters members, if I'm not mistaken. He's shown an awful lot of it on there.

Hey man, Good job.
Ive found couple of things that you might look at it:
1- your drum buss, Its first Rbass and then Shadowhills.
2-you missing the transformer 2 AUX( so important)
3-Rcomp from waves he uses almost always on his kicks for more punch ( between -6 to -8 reduction)
and most importantly IMO, its really important that to watch him how much he drives what plugins. otherwise you dont get the best out of that his chains.

Question for ya as im in Ableton and not pro tools. Which comes first in the chain, the c-drums with the R-bass and shadowhills, or the bus with all of the NSLs? I assume he's driving in through the NSLs first, then routing the kick, snare and 808 to its own bus? Does anyone know how I could set something up similar in Ableton?

Thanks for that ! Question, in terms of drums, the only tracks that are paralleled compressed are the C Drums tracks , right ? All percs, toms, HiHats etc.. Are routed to the ALL DRUMS without compression correct?

My question has always been whether the C DRUMS and the C DRUMS M, how they are routed. and if in the C DRUMS all the plugins must be compensated to the same volume that we had in the input? 🎶
I could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure the C DRUMS M is where the individual drum elements get routed to (think of it like a summing mixer), then C DRUMS M gets routed out to C DRUMS

@@MyAudioAcademy The Main Music bus is missing several plug-ins that Jaycen use. A bitcrusher, Little Radiator, An EQ, CLA Mixdown, RC-20 Retro Color, and bx-digital. Also, your Keys All, GTR ALL, etc., are routed to All Music instead of Main Music.
@@fredbeckofficial If you're referencing the 2020 MWTM series, you'd be correct. In his most recent process, many of these plugin's were either removed or made inactive.
do synth bass tracks go to ALL BASS or ALL SYNTHS

also you uploaded the wrong template. The drum bus has "NLS Channels" instead of NLS Busses and there's no other busses included besides the C drums and Drum master.

AMAZING VIDEO! I have a question. He sends his drums and bass on two separate busses that both contain the 8 instances of nls buss? Why doesn't he send bass and drums to just one buss with that treatment?

cool but remmebr yall. Its not the template its the brain that made it. No matter hat he knows so much of the micros involved with mixing he can flip it and change up to his liking.
Quick question! In tracks where there are two identical channels like in Drum n Bass or C drums but they are separate tracks, how do you route audio to them at the same time?

This is so good, thank you SO much. Nevertheless, can someone explain why there would be a soothe taking of all the low end on the Bass track? It doesn't appear to be sidechained to anything, it just doesn't make sense to me. If someone can explain that'd be great! 😅 Still, amazing video.

Lol why is their 7 nls bus plugins on one bus don’t answer I’ll get there eventually. So I guess it’s to add fat thickness to the bass by not driving to much on one plugin but a little on multiple plugins .

and then the C drums M goes root it to the drum and bass buss?
For anybody that was able to open the template, are you able to post the settings of the efx so that those of us that can't open the template (ie. I use Studio One) can mess around with some of these chains to see what works for us?

when u mix a vocal sesh would u record your vocals with all ur plugins and w.e using a Vox temp and then print it and then take that print and put it in a mixing temp?..do u put the mix plugins like over there recorded print or just take the original recording and start all over in a mix temp with a dry Vox and then just use the mix plugins ? I hope tht makes sense ..appreciate any help

the preset on the bass bus shmc is wrong his not using compression on that one at all just the transformers.
and he hits the shmc on the drum bus at 1dB
Could you tell me how the drums are routed? I use a different DAW so it's a bit unclear. Are the individual drum tracks routed to C DRUMS, wich is a GROUP track? And then that goes to C DRUMS M wich is also a GROUP track? And this goes to ALL DRUMS? Im not sure wether the c drums are an aux tracks he blends in with the drums or if its a straight in- and output for the drums? Thanks
Group the kick and snare and add the nls, then group that group and add the drum bus presets, this is c drums. Then group the percs. Jaycen has a low perc group and hi percs. Then group all of those and call it "All Drums" So only the kick and snare go trough the nls and drumbus processing.@@zwiemenoe
After this group your 808s run them trough the nls, then group that and add the bas bus preset which is slightly different from the drum bus preset. (theres videos on this aswell" call that "the boom c". Then do the same if you have other basses in the track so every lowend instrument get their own nls buss. After that group all the boom c and bass c to All Bass Bus. Group all the C busses together if you want to add the Kick N Bass group which Jaycen then adds the standardclip vst on and clip them slightly together for extra loudness@@zwiemenoe
