Nice video. It was also be good if Nectar had a zero latency mode so it could be used to track vocals. In this situation, the assistant might be really useful to quickly get a rough fx chain set up for monitoring a vocal while tracking.
Once again. Brilliant vid with a helpfull view. Iv used you/ neutron/ozone and rx to help me learn how to do it manually but still find myself using these tools. There so handy and save on your workflow time. Big shouts to you sir. 😁

Great video - Would love to see a video where you work on a classical piece like an operatic Tenor and an orchestra instrumental. Would love to see how you get those 2 together. I am an opera tenor myself and use often instrumental orchestras or piano for recording opera arias. Very little videos on that and on how opera voices are recorded and how they are treated. I presume very different than we see in modern music. Would be great 🙂

Nectar 3 plus is my sauce prior to my vocal bus fx and master chain. I can't wait for version 4.
And you're waiting for version 4 cuz ? Do you believe 3 isn't good enough or cuz it could be improved upon?
@adithyasatheesh127 3 is amazing. It definitely can be improved to become even more efficient. And just the way technology is today, there is so much more capabilities to offer.
My single only issue is the latency. Once iZotope takes care of that, we’re in business.
I am interested in more comparative videos like this just so to know how much time I can really save when using ozone products. I actually have ozone music production suite 5.2, and exploring how to make my work more efficient and get results quickly,
I would also appreciate if you could provide some of your own vocal chAin presets for different vocal genre which you use in your projects while mixing, it would be awesome if we could benefit from the vocal chains of experienced people like and and save it in our daw and tweak it further as per our taste.

Great video! I feel like it’s hard to find good tutorials like this in mixing (soulful) r&b vocals. I feel like I try to keep warmth in the vocals but it gets too muddy for my liking
Great video! may I also learn how to get the warm sound like your film by nectar or other tools. Also, when I use rx leveler or nectar autolevel in diague or speech and audio book , the sound become small/large deviation unstable if there is 10-15s silence time without speaking, may I know how to fix it in vocal assistant mode.

The stock plugins have a better mono compatibility than the izotope. but, the izotope chain sounds ALOT better I feel.
Nectar really doesn’t work too well with bad recordings. There’s no way around the hours long process of mixing vocals so that the resonances don’t cut through the mix
Yeah , i find Nectar is a powerful tool but sometimes we just have to do some work if I am playing with bad recording
What do you consider a bad recording?
Question: On my version of nectar (nectar pro) included with the monthly izotope package, I don't get the "Assistant is working" screen. The assistant does work, but it seems to dial back the gain and produce extremely thin vocals. It first says "listening" then brings me to a screen that says, "set the vibe for your vocal." I've been underwhelmed with the results and don't feel like it produces quality anywhere near what I hear in the tutorial videos where the "assistant is working" screen pops up. Is there a reason why my version is engaging in a different process? Is mine a lesser version than you're demonstrating here?

Often when using nectar in FL studio something will happen where it emits a ridiculously loud screech that makes me have to close the daw. Is that just me? I wish I could fix this, it didn't used to happen

Just saying, the Air Knob in Blackbox wouldn't do anything unless you turn on the Air button to the left of it. Nice video nonetheless
I have Nectar Pro and the trial version of Nectar 3 PIus. I did the vocal assistant with both and got two different vocals chains.
To my curiosity, I did it a second time and the same thing happened. Two different vocal chains.
My question is this. What’s difference between Nectar Pro and Nectar 3 Plus and why do I get different settings from vocal assistant in each one?

Nectar Assistant [seemingly] uses the same eq cuts on virtually every vocal; female or male, across every genre.

Is there any ducking on the delay or reverb in nectar?
Unfortunately Nectar's Reverb and Delay doesn't have a ducking feature.
