I too disagree with Mr. Todd on the RFK question. Why?
1. He is unpredictable. He could start out with the expected, "Both of the other candidates are unfit to serve as president," and then spend the rest of the 90 minutes trashing Biden. I can easily see both Trump and RFK ganging up on Biden. Apparently, Mr. Todd can't imagine that. Why give RFK that opportunity? To be fair? Well, then be fair to Jill Stein and Cornel West too. Be fair to Binkley, Stuckenberg, Phillips and Williamson too. Why should an independent candidate, afraid to contest the primaries, be given better treatment than those who attempted to win a nomination by facing voters? It's easy to be nominated by a constituency of one, yourself.
2. If you are either of the other two candidates, you don't want to have to spend the slightest amount of your time disproving what RFK says. That is a waste of time that should be spent contrasting yourself with the opponent who has a chance of beating you. This is not Ross Perot we're talking about in 2024. This is a candidate who has a morphing position on abortion that doesn't agree with his running mate's position.
And that's why Chuck Todd was fired from Meet the Press. He's stupid.

CNN's townhall with Trump and Caitlan Collins was a DISASTER. With the exception of Briana Keilar, CNN's current anchors are not up to the challenge of moderating a Presidential debate and maintaining order that these debates deserve. Even Chris Wallace was ineffective as moderator in the 2020 debate.
But who would be an effective moderator when one candidate is plotting to scrap the Constitution?
I don't think the debate is going to be on CNN..it's one of the 3 major old school networks. I would have liked it if old Amtrak Joe would have gone for PBS. Anyway, Biden will clean his clock. Even if it's only once (since this election includes an incumbent), I think they still should have a traditional debate organized by the Pres. Debate Commission.

If you look at the photo of 100,000 people at Donald Trumps rally, it looks very different than 100,000 people at a Barak Obama rally. Or any other rally of 100,000 people. Looks more like 20-30k. Still a respectable number I think, but no 100k.
