The 14th amendment section 3 should apply to anyone convicted for Jan 6. Nobody who took part in the Jan 6 riot should be sitting in our government.

@@ZeusKingOfAllGods I'm not sure. The supreme court recently made ruling on if states could remove a candidate from the ballot. But I guess I don't know the specifics of that ruling or it's wider implications. As the ruling was blatenty corrupt, who's to say if the reasoning behind is logical?

Trump never called Pentagon leaders on Jan. 6. They would have sent the National Guard, according to Michael Brooks, the senior enlisted leader of the D.C. guard, and Brigadier Gen. Aaron Dean.
Simple, DT appointed Acting SecDef Miller on Jan 4 changed the rules of deployment for the some 340 assigned to assist DC PD with traffic control which included "no interactions with protesters, no weapons." He then placed the guard under his direct command. Had the NG been under DC PD for a mundane thing as traffic control, they could have called for the Guard's Quick Reaction Force.
