Thanks for the great summary. What an amazing/stunning/incredible/spectacular/magnificent/gorgeous/impressive/breathtaking/epic/extraordinary trip! For your Scottish trip to the Hebrides I recommend Barra - I went twice in the early 1960s (guess why?!) to Mingulay and Berneray (which have no roads) but Barra I think should be accessible for the van. Perhaps you could get a boat trip out to Mingulay and Berneray - not so many seabirds as Hornoya but mostly the same species.
I was watching previous videos with the eyes wide open to not lose any detail of the stuning landscapes, but this one I watched taking mental notes and doing math. Of course I saved it.
Great stuff guys. Perhaps a video covering how all of your van modifications helped whilst you were away and what you would have changed, rather than the summary at the end.
great summary of your trip , thoroughly enjoyed watching your journey through the various stages your cinematic skills are magnificent you managed to capture the essence of the many places you visited and it really felt we was along for the ride truly stunning scenery and your whale clips were breathtaking the whole series is definitely inspiring and i hope to get to see some of the places you visited in the near future
Thank you so much Graham. We really appreciate your comments. Thank you for staying with us to the end of this fabulous trip ( I avoided saying stunning here😂). All the best. Sarah & Ben.
This Arctic adventure is truly epic! Your detailed guide to vanlife in the European Arctic is both inspiring and incredibly useful. The breathtaking scenery and practical advice make this a standout video for anyone considering an Arctic journey. Thank you for sharing this extraordinary experience! 🚐❄🌟
Thank you so much for your lovely comment Daniel. We are so pleased that you have found it useful. Let’s hope it inspires lots of adventurers to explore the Arctic.
Thanks Alex. Great to hear from you again. We are enjoying following your van build. Maybe see you out on the road sometime in the not too distant future. Sarah
I watched your entire Scandinavia Tour. My plans are similar except I will be doing it in the Sept. thru November off season time frame. I really enjoyed your stops and videography. I will be shipping my rig from U.S. I was planning on doing it this fall by shipping to the UK this July and spending time traveling UK until September. We spent the month of May in the Highlands at a air bnb travelling in a rental car. Loved Scotland. After noting how the many campervans/motorhomes are relegated to carparks and pullouts, I decided that wasn't for me. Best seeing the UK by air BNB and rental car. Can't wait to see your travel plans in North America look like. Glad you can visit for up to 6 months, unlike the 90 day Schengen restriction.
Hi Ted and thank you so much for watching our videos. So happy that you stayed with us from beginning to end. We think that your decision to stay away from Scandinavia until September is a good one. It will be interesting to see how the weather changes as you go further North. We get that the UK isn’t the best for motorhome travel particularly “wild camping”. We are really looking forward to getting into Canada and then the US. So much for us to explore. Will your Scandinavia trip be on RUclips? We would love to follow you if it is. Sarah & Ben.
@@diamondsontour Hi Sarah and Ben. ,Kathryn has thought about initiating a You Tube channel We post on our facebook pages. I am not much of a presenter. Kathryn on the other hand is viable. I have purchased a beginner camera. Canon R50 and a couple of lenses. It has been fun learning mainly on Automatic LOL. Give a shout if you have any questions about travelling the US. I am sure you have thoroughly researched the trip. We went to the Arctic Ocean last summer in our rig. Explored Western Canada and Alaska. Take care.
@tedbray5258 Thanks again Ted. Maybe we can follow you on Facebook. We are very interested in your trip to Alaska and Western Canada. I’m sure you will have heaps of really useful info that we can benefit from. How can we find you on Facebook please?
Hi Sarah and Ben, we have really enjoyed your Norway trip, so much so that we are going this September. I have a few practical questions if you can help. Such as what clothes did you find best to wear,do I need extra warm undies! And also was it easy to get groceries on your trip. I know they are expensive but are they easily available. Cheers Helen x
Just watched your article summary video and it has answered so many of my questions and really put my mind at rest about or forth coming trip, so thank you very much. We can not go next spring so are thinking of going late September, do you think we will find it quieter then as well? I would love your opinion of going then. Really looking forward to your Canada adventure, another trip we are considering in ‘Leniny’ our sprinter. X
Hi Helen and thank you for watching our videos. I read your comment yesterday evening and thought I would answer all your questions with a really detailed reply this morning, but I am pleased that you found our summary video and delighted that it covered the subjects you were really concerned about. September should be a really lovely month to visit and I would expect that most of the tourists have left. In Norway the schoolchildren will be back at school so that will reduce the amount of “locals” on the roads. Are you staying for a few weeks? Please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any more questions. I really can’t tell you how anxious I was about travelling over there in March but really all of my concerns were unfounded even with the remnants of winter still around. Sarah
@@diamondsontour Sarah I completely understand how you must have felt before your trip. Added to my uncertainty about traveling so far in unknown weather I also have some complex health issues including having to walk with crutches, but I will not let this hold me back or stop my husbands adventures. Being able to see what Norway is like via your videos has been a great help. We live on the Wales shropshire boarderand have had our van since my husband built him during lockdown. So far we have been to Portugal via the north Spanish coast for 4 weeks and this year we went to France for a few weeks. We have also traveled a few places in the UK. I look forward to seeing more of your travels and hearing about your travel plans for Canada. Regards Helen
We are not too far away from you, we live down the A5 in Cannock, Staffordshire. Our van was built by Ben and it was his “lock-down” project too🤣. He has a van build series that is on our RUclips channel including all the things he did to winterise the van…not that I think you will need that for a September trip. We did southern Europe last summer/autumn with a 6 week interlude in Bulgaria and Romania when it wasn’t part of Schengen. It was our first big adventure in the van. Canada and the US should be very exciting. It seems a long way off at the moment but time flies so quickly, guess it will soon be here!
Hi Beverley. Thank you for watching and your kind comment. On our calculations we could hire a suitable van for only 3 to 4 weeks for the cost of the shipment of our van. As we plan to be over in the Americas for an extended period of time, it was a no brainer!! Another option we considered was to purchase one on arrival in Canada and sell it at the end of the trip. Whilst this might have been an economical decision we decided against this because there are no vans that would have all the personalised features we have onboard our van. Sarah
You couldn't have done the trip more correctly than this. well done.
Thank you so much. We really appreciate you watching and your comment. Ben & Sarah

Nice superlatives, thanks. And thanks so for the Hebrides advice. We reckon we might get there in November, so should be interesting weather.
