My s-I-l. & I both watched our husbands pass, now she has been DX with cirrhosis (no drinking, no Hep. C, no meds. Not overweight, (Vegan) no copper. So it’s idiopathic. You provide a lot of info, & it’s not my business but I’m terrified of snakes! Best wishes on your journey! You’re in my thoughts & prayers 🙏🏼

I am beyond proud of you for speaking up about mental health. It takes a lot of strength to do so. Needed to hear those words tonight ❤️

The reptiles are really cool bro! I used to have turtles when I was a kid! Your videos are making me consider getting a couple of aquariums going again to stay busy to stay away from the brews! Good luck bro another great video! 👍❤

Hi, I am from Cape Town South Africa, I just stumbled upon your page. How did I not know about your channel??
I have Cirrhosis because of contracting the Hep.B virus from my x husband who slept around. Anyhow, for years I knew I had liver disease because of hep.b, I was treated for years for fatty liver disease.
Last year I had to have my gallbladder removed. When my surgeon was in there doing the op she saw my liver and saw that it was rotten with cirrhosis. Long story short, once I recovered from the worst news any person could ever get, I also went for a biopsy. In one of your videos you described the procedure........how do I know the pain afterwards. I can only describe it as a herd of elephants stampeding on my lungs and insides.
So we got the results, and my doctor gave me the news that I have at most, got 7 years left. OK, that was a year ago. So the clock is ticking, and I am looking at 6 years.
Depression.......ABSOLUTELY!!!! I am on several anti depressants, and since the diagnosis I was also diagnosed With fibromyalgia which is completely debilitating at times. My dr gave me some serious painkillers for those flare ups.
Like you, I am fighting this battle alone, my family does not understand the emotional trauma that goes hand in hand with this nasty disease.
Forgetfulness......I don't know about you, but I forget the simplest of words, I struggle on bad days just to string a sentence together. So utterly frustrating, as I used to work in the financial industry, and now I feel like a first grader.
Exhaustion......how is it that some days I cannot put one foot on front of the other? Or manage to crawl out if bed?? I have absolutely NO motivation to do so, some days I just want to cover my head under the blankets and stay there. WHY DO PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTAND???
This is a terminal illness, and unfortunately will not just go away. When I tell people about my cirrhosis I ALWAYS get the question......why don't you "just" go for a transplant???? Let me count the ways😂😂....no, nope not ever, because it will not improve my quality of life, life expectancy with a transplant....(if i could have the option) is 5 years at most, I would have to travel abroad to have it done, as our country just do not have qualified surgeons to do the procedure, and with what I have gone through the past year (pain, pain and more pain) ER not knowing or finding anything wrong when I cannot sleep from the pain, or feel terribly ill just in general, why on earth would I want to put myself through such a huge procedure just to leave in 5 years??
Today is one of "those" days, a just don't move a muscle day, curled up in bed, trying my utmost to find the sparkle at the end of a very dull rainbow!!!
So this is just the very tip of the iceberg of my life, there us a trillion more stories to tell about my road so far, I promised myself the last years are going to be the most amazing, adventurous of my life, but unless you live with this disease, you realize it is a tall order to fill.
I hope you get my message, I just want to tell you how awesome I find your vlogs, and to know there are more people out there feeling the same way as I do!! Thank you so so much!!!

I love your videos. I don't know why some people don't believe you. Maybe the idea that a year or two of crazy drinking can cause cirrhosis is probably quite scary to them.

It also runs in my family. Plus my doctor said my liver was failing years before I started drinking. Many things can cause liver cirrhosis

I thought the snake was a filter at first 😀. I had a drinking phase but realised it's stupid now. Even tho your situation is not just because of drinking, these videos are good on multiple levels 👌👍

Hey Neil, quick question. I know you said you have children. Since a lot of this illness is something genetic have you talked to your kids about possible issues that might arise as they get older?
