Hi Kevin. Love watching your videos with Chris. Putting PVC pipe in sand as rod holders, I use a baseball bat (mine if aluminum) to bang the PVC pipe into the sand - it makes noise while banging but it works. Hope this is helpful.

Matagorda is my go to spot! I've seen Tarpon jump at the end of the jetties in the past. Water is clear blue on a calm day. Never crowded like Galveston/ Surfside.
There's 3/4 bait shops on before you cross over the bridge.

So easy way to put pvc deep into sand. Push it in as far as you can. Then once is there put your mouth into the top end and suck the air out. It'll drive it into the sand. Push down on it while doing it. Takes about 10 seconds or so and that thing won't move. It'll be stuck. I found a guy on here who isaw that from and it works like a charm. Don't gotta worry about chipping the pvc by hitting the top of it. Tight lines

@@GGAnglers You can also get some c clamps and a piece of rebar from home depot. Rebar around 2 feet long and attach it to PVC with clamps. The rebar goes into the sand first and will essentially hold it in place.
That technique works best....looks funny but works! Lol

Easier way to set pipe is the suck on the end of the pipe and the pipe will easily go down…or buy one that already has a suction device. Looks weird doing it but it works…my #1 method for years.

Also keep them claws and hook em up. Most folks think they are trash but they catch some of the biggest fish.
We have tried them before, we only had a couple hours to fish so we wanted to use all the crab🎣🎣
What market are you getting your crabs from? I have searched all over TX City, and Galveston, and nothing.
They should have crab now at the bait shops. But we got them at Hong Kong Market or Fiesta
