- February is PEAK Black Drum season so we are taking advantage of the great conditions to target these massive old fish. Hands down one of my favorite fish to catch although some may say they are boring due to not being a long fight and feeling like dead weight. We decided to hit a channel that looks like a beach and we definitely found the fish even tho it wasnt a great bite. Dude keep making those videos you remind me of me . Back in the day with a car. I remember it sucked thank god I have a truck now. It’s a relief I remember rolling up in a Volkswagen Jetta and have rods. This week I finally done with hunting season will be heading to goose island Rockport Texas for big uglies and whatever but it’s fun fishing bro blue crab is a charm for the reds and black drum.
Cut a angle on the bottom of your rod holders it will make them easier to hammer in.

The best place to get mullet on that area; make a left on the cemetery and follow the road until you reached small bridge +/- 2 miles. Cast the net from the bridge only to the middle of the creek..👍

I got a major skunk at the dike today. I’m just curious, what do you think are the optimal conditions for drum fishing? I’ve lowkey been struggling lately.
Aw man. They love choppy and windy conditions. We just dont fish those conditions due to the wind affecting the mic’s. Also fish incoming tides. Thats when we have had the best luck. They will bite in outgoing but not as much as incoming. Pressure drops also help a ton. It is kinda hot, I think they will start biting again after Thursday

No its harder, I guess they migrate to deeper water.. and the ones you do see are very small
