    Bought an arrow p from you at the beginning of the season. Love it. I thought id miss my impress 4 but i dont. The arrow p is super comfy and easy to get into. Weight shifts as if there is a seat board. Only gripes i have are that the top of the pod where the flight deck attaches could be a bit tauter and one of the dyneema lines with the ball for closing the harness is showing signs of wear. But that will be easy enough to splice some new dyneema there if needed. Really happy with it...... .. and love the weight of it !!!

    Bungee works great for holding the speedbag whilst walking but I'd never use it for attaching to my leg as its so easy to get into ( especially when the wing bag is stored in the "nose" of the speedbag)

    Thanks Nancy and Carlo. Very comprehensive review! But unfortunately I didn't really understand (my poor English) if the Arrow P, despite of its laid back position, is less or more stable than the Strike 2 that I really don't like when conditions are strong (to much roll, only 40 cm between seat and carabineers).
    Would someone be so kind to give me the information? Good flights to everyone!

    Nice review!
    I’ve been flying the P for a couple of weeks now and I love it!
    The bungee really is annoying though… had a flight with it strung around my leg and felt it for a couple of days 😅

      Glad you like the review, and are enjoying your harness! 😀 I suspect you will only like it more in time. 🩷 ps. The best thing about the bungee on the Arrow P is that you really don't need it! 😉 For those who like a bungee (which those who don't might no understand) it's very easy to change it to the other style of bungee. ✅

    Overall it looks like a great harness, excellent video!
    I wish a large channel like you would talk more about the actual protection provided in each of your reviews - manufacturers tend to just "check a box" with their protector, but it would be good to have manufacturers compete on the actual protection provided to the pilot... Heck even on their web page comparing their foam and air protectors, Niviuk compares everything, except the actual protection provided!
    Here we have a harness that got fairly bad results (45G - unfortunately par for the course for such harnesses with some exceptions like the Sock, Range X-Alps 3, etc.), a protector that doesn't go to the back (so fairly useless in a stall near the ground scenario), and a reserve in the back, providing a great hard point to shatter vertebrae in such a scenario... You did touch upon such compromises in your Arrow/Hawk review, but I'd like to see manufacturers get some incentives to provide actually better protection (instead of always thinner/more aerodynamic with things like Koroyd, which has its own controversy). Maybe by being positive and specifically praising harnesses that seem to have gone out of their way to provide good protection? I personally believe there isn't enough emphasis on protection vs all emphasis put on performance in paragliding, and statistically that has to translate to a larger percentage of compressed or shattered vertebrae in the sport...
    I remember asking a dealer/manufacturer about the poor protection numbers they had gotten on their harness (49G) and their response was "Just don't butt-land. This is a harness for people who don't flunk their landing". And the callousness there shocked me - what's the point of the protection then?

      @flybubblecarlo Месяц назад +1

      Glad you like the video! Request noted. Although we have lots of videos on our channel, we are a very small team, working on very small budget, supported by pilots who choose to buy gear from us!

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo Месяц назад +1

      In general, if passive protection is a top priority, don't go for ultra-light gear. The weight savings have to come from somewhere! 🤓 The manufacturers are generally producing what most pilots want in each category, based on market research. Pilots who prioritise lightest weight first by definition put other factors lower down the list. You can't have your (diet) cake and eat it too! 😉

      @@flybubblecarlo I would have to disagree with you somewhat. There are other lightweight harnesses with more substantial back protectors that run higher up the spine, such as the Bogdanfly or Skywalk RXA2/3 to name a few. Other light harnesses do not place a reserve right underneath your spine and have a front container instead. While it might cost a few grams more for a larger protector or a bridge running from the front to your shoulders, there are harnesses with a 'safer' design that are still lightweight.
      What makes you think that lightweight harnesses offer substantially less protection than heavier counterparts? From what I have seen, the comp harnesses go for small honeycomp-type protectors, and medium-weight harnesses often have similar size protection as their lightweight counterparts.

    I'm 185cm/75kg and fly an L size. Strugle with roll, though. When comparing it to other harnesses on the simulator the steering force I can achieve with weightshift is much lower. When flying on the other hand, I get thrown around a lot which is tiring. Why is that? What can I do against it (no, the narrower waist strap position doesn't really help)?

  • @stu2610

    Put the bungee around the toe/front area of your boot? That’s what I do in my Niviuk Hawk even though getting in without it isn’t an issue

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo Месяц назад

      Thanks, but for some reason Niviuk have done the bungee differently on the Arrow P compared to the Arrow and Hawk. I prefer how they've done it for the Arrow and Hawk, however as I've said in our reviews we have no issues getting into any of these Niviuk harness without a bungee. Still nice that they think to provide this, for those who might want it (others can take it off if they prefer).

    Hey guys, thanks a lot for the video ! I was wondering if you had any feedback on the harness being really hard to sit into ? Once the risers are in tension, the harness pops back up behind my back and even if I raise my legs there’s no way I can sit in it without seriously having to grab the seat board and pulling it under myself. Hurts like hell too. Not sure if I’m being clear 😅.. I’m 179 and the harness is M. Did you make any adjustments from factory setting ? Thanks a lot, cheers from Chamonix

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo 24 дня назад +1

      Hi, as we said in the review, we've found the Arrow P is one of the easiest harnesses to get into. it's a hammock style harness, there's no seat board.

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo 24 дня назад +1

      We've also found the Arrow P is one of the most comfortable harnesses we've ever flown in, as we say in the review. We've had many other pilots and customers report the same.

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo 24 дня назад

      As I think we also say in the review, we hardly needed to make any adjustments from the factory settings. Even though Nancy and I are differ quite a bit, we can easily fly the same harness without having to make adjustments. We've found the same with other very well designed and made harnesses e.g. those by Advance, which tend to fit the widest range of pilots with little or no adjustment required.

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo 24 дня назад +2

      Although no harness model is going to fit everyone, because people vary so much, we've found that some the harness from certain brands tend to fit a wider range of pilots and require less or no adjustment. From matching very many pilots to very many harnesses, we've found that on average Advance harnesses tend to fit the widest range of pilots, despite only coming in three sizes. They also generally require the least adjustment of any; the standard factory settings are correct for most pilots. From our experience, the main time issues arise with these well-designed harnesses is when unnecessary and incorrect adjustments are made. This is why we encourage pilots to only adjust the harness if really necessary, and ideally try it with factory settings, to get used to how it's designed to be, before making incremental adjustments. Of course if someone is at the very limits of a size, or has a very unusual body shape e.g. extremely long or short legs compared to body. then they may need to make adjustments to allow for this.

    Can you mix and match? For example, my weightless is harness L, speedbag M

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo Месяц назад

      No, the Arrow P speedbag sizes are not interchangeable between Arrow P harness sizes. Each size of Arrow P speedbag corresponds to its size of harness e.g. the size M Arrow P harness only accepts the size M Arrow P speedbag.

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo Месяц назад

      From our experience of matching many pilots to many harnesses over many years, we've come to the conclusion that very few actually benefit from mixing and matching the different sizes of harness and speedbag. Having a mismatch of harness and speedbag size also usually makes the harness very hard to sell, usually significantly devaluing the resale value, due to a very small potential market. I hope sharing this experience benefits people! 🙂

    I have the Ozone F-Race M and it can not adjust the whith. So i want a seat that is adustable in the air. So I know B.F. W.V. Race and mayby the P can be adjusted in the air. But you didn't said it. Do it have one or to attacmentpoint for the rescue? I have the Charley Dimond cross ST light and it have to be connected on both sholders.

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo Месяц назад

      As Niviuk's Arrow P user manual video shows, it's possible to adjust the back angle and lumbar support in-flight, but it's not easy: ruclips.net/video/PBL2rh5tRjs/видео.html

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo Месяц назад

      Although the Arrow P has two shoulder attachment points for the reserve, the way these are made, quite long, means unfortunately the Arrow P is not compatible with steerable reserves (as we state in text in our review) like the Charly TargetCrosss / DiamondCross ST Light or High Adventure Beamer 3 / Light, all of which we offer and so know well: flybubble.com/reserves

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo Месяц назад

      ps. I suppose that a suitably experienced and skilled paraglider harness service and repair centre would be able to modify the Arrow P to make it compatible with steerable reserves, however modifications like this are not covered by the manufacturer warranty, and may invalidate the manufacturer warranty (for which you'd have to check with the the manufacturer, as it's up to them, no one else).

    • @flybubblecarlo
      @flybubblecarlo Месяц назад

      As a general rule, if you can fit in two sizes of a harness it's best to go for the smaller size, as this gives you better control / authority. However this can be a personal preference thing - some seem to like flying a big armchair, which is fine if you're only flying in smooth conditions, where handling doesn't matter quite so much (unless you like wagga).
