    I found that the Gamo expanders worked quite nicely through my PR900 and my CP2. Another nice pellet to try is h&n excite hammers, I have had good results with these bidget pellets as well

    You can get a tin of BISLEY MAGNUMS in 177 (500) for £11.25. That’s still cheap and they are accurate too. Yes the 22 pellets are pricey and you often only get 200 instead of 500. H&N only giving you 400 in 177 too.

    I make all my own from n.o.e. bucket moulds in 22,25,30,35 caliber and they shoot as good as jsb exact.i also make all my slugs in all those calibers but slugs I'm still trying to get them shooting well.

    Fair play. For the price, what more can you ask? 👍
    Nicely done adding picture in picture and syncing both. Makes for great viewing. 👍

      Nightmare doing the PiP.. I talk too much and shoot too slowly normally 😆
      I'll test these through a few more barrels eventually.itll be good to get them groups tightened up a bit.but for 6 quid.. you can't go too far wrong

      @@tillysgunstocks I bet adding pip is a real faf to start with but keep it up cos it makes a huge difference. Practice makes perfect. 😉
      Wouldn’t it be great is they turn out to be a great pellet? Imagine what that will do to the big boys prices.
      Great viewing. 👏👏👏
      You’re doing a cracking job 👍

    As you've shown , these pellets have there place , and worthy of consideration at the range , I generally take a tin of " budget " pellets along with a more premiums brand to the range ... the premiums for target practice , the budget for spinners & knockdowns ... and your SO right about prices going up , seems like an hike every week ... its getting ridiculous ... H&N tend to be a bit cheaper ... and I'm searching in vain for the new Baracuda "8"s but there like rocking horse **** at the moment ... all that said and done , those Gamo pellets MAY benefit from weighing and sorting ... at £6 a tin , may be worth the trouble ... one question you have to ask yourself at this time , would you risk a shot atva squizzer @ 25 yrs with these? .. a very interesting video that was .. and as with ALL aspects of air gunning , seems to ask more questions then answers ... that's airgunning for ya ..

      Definitely not good enough through the katran for live quarry, I'll test them through all my other barrels eventually.itll be good to know if they group better in other stuff.

    *You had better luck with them than I did!*
    _There is a weight varition and the heavier ones are causing piston slam in my 16ft break barrel and it sounds like a .22lr even if subsonic._

      The katran is a totally stock rifle Internally, only changes are the woodwork.
      I'll be finishing off the s200 project when I get a chance and I'll also bring my ultimate sporter onto the channel in time 😉

    Thanks for the video. Would like to see your results after washing and weighing them,,, I have very good results with Crossman premier hollow points in my HW97 .22.. That are 12 pounds for 500. But the HN field target trophy are just a bit better and 10 pounds a tin of 500. JSB are 9.6 pounds for 250.
    thanks again from Canada

      Hi mate, I think next time with these will be a test in the 3x 9015 barrels. Straight from the tin and then washed,and weighed and lubed. See if I can get a basic pellet to match an expensive one..
      It's great to have you on the channel, I have a fair few guys from Canada now😀

    On the cheap end Exite plinking wadcutters have gone well for me out to a max of 20m good for standing practice. Also clobber rats if you need them too.

    A bit of sorting by weight and a wash might help these. Good job with the channel !

    Accuracy of pellets generally depends on the comparison of the barrel twist and the barrel choke etc. I've tested over 100 brands and weights of pellets in multiple rifles which shows certain pellets can perform extremely poor in one particular rifle yet perform exceptionally better in a different rifle.

    • @tillysgunstocks
      @tillysgunstocks  Год назад +1

      True... but even the best barrel can't make up for poor tolerances in the manufacture of pellets. Some of the budget stuff of late and some of the expensive brands are showing significant variation in size and weight aswell as eccentric heads relative to the skirt. If they are cheap enough they serve a purpose for plinking and the likes but no good for anything resembling precision 😉

    • @MrRockstar1968
      @MrRockstar1968 Год назад +1

      @@tillysgunstocks Some are that bad that they aren't even good enough for plinking. My expensive barrel did however make a massive difference to about 85 out of the 100 pellets tested though the other 15 letters regardless of how expensive or poorly manufactured they were still preformed poorly though still not as poorly as with other barrels.
      For example the SMK Spitfire Domed which are an extremely poorly made pellet with disfigured skirts would produce 5 x pellet groups of 24mm about (1 inch) though in my expensive barrel they would produce 5 x pellet groups of 3mm, pellet on pellet. That the worst performing pellet which was the Remington Tyrant Shock Round would produce 5 x pellet groups up to 117mm (4. 5/8th of inch) yet in the expensive barrel would produce 5 x pellet groups of 68mm (2. 5/8th of inch)
      Out of 100 brands and weights and shapes of pellets tested with 5 x pellet groupings each.
      The expensive barrel had 94 pellets within 25mm (1 inch)
      The cheeper barrels had 50 pellets within 25mm (1 inch)
      The expensive barrel had 53 pellets within 5mm
      The cheeper barrels had 2 pellets within 6mm
      That's a massive difference in my opinion.

    I click on the videos when I see expensive PCPs I would like to own only to find out they have been neutered by BS politicians and laws. Kinda like having a Ferrari and only having a 4 cylinder in it when a proper V12 is what belongs in it. I hate sub 12 laws.
