    A side effect of sertraline is feeling suicidal and anxiety getting worse in the first couple of weeks. That's why most people stop taking them, because they think it's not working. And to anyone that says they don't recommend Zoloft and that it's terrible, keep in mind it works differently with each person. Don't make someone think it won't work just because you had a bad experience, cause it might work wonders for someone else!

      @AquaTyrant2 5 лет назад

      Angela but lets be honest, the ratio of people that say it works and doesn’t work is a dramatic scale. A lot of people have made reviews off sertaline and all she wants to do is warn other users. And if those are the “side effects” to sertaline, (which, might I remind is kinda what the medicine is supposed to cure), than you shouldn’t take it. I’m pretty glad that she documented her experience because now I’ll be prepared for if I really do get a bad experience from the drug. Or in other words just be prepared.

    • @AquaTyrant2
      @AquaTyrant2 5 лет назад

      Halleloolahoop whoooah. Oookay bud, listen here. Firstly, I wasn’t even being shitty about it. And here you are claiming I don’t know shit and saying pretty much that I didn’t need to voice myself. All I was saying was I’m glad she gave her story and what it did for her so I might be prepared Incase the same thing happens to me while taking the drug. There was absolutely no reason for you to get shitty and act like the ass you did. I was still agreeing with her, because it might work wonders for me! But just Incase it doesn’t, I atleast know this and am somewhat more prepared and might visit the doctor sooner just Incase I start feeling the way she did.

    I just started zoloft for my anxiety and depression. Found your video. It breaks my heart to see such a young person with this mindset. I think you are a beautiful lady. Such beautiful hair and eyes. I hope you can find a fun hobby to be enthusiastic about....find some friends to lift you up! You are young and beautiful and so intelligent! I wished you could see yourself the way I see you. Praying for you! Sending my love.💓

    Ive just started taking zoloft and decided to look up how people react but yours is by far the most relatable one. Ive always said that when I commit suicide that it'll be done right or i'll never hear the end of it from my family lol. It's just kinda nice to know i'm not alone in a sense. Hope it gets better for both of us!

You are Loved and needed in this world....and you have SO much to give. You have helped others by opening your Heart and sharing your struggle. I'm so sorry you're going through all this! I hope you're feeling better soon! Antidepressants can be really tricky and finding the right one is really hard. Sometimes I think it's better not to take one, especially if they make you suicidal.

      How is your husband doing now? You really want to be careful with those drugs as they are the cause of countless divorces. I don't know if he wanted a divorce before taking the meds, but they tend to make people unable to feel or give love, as well as kill their sex drive. This can lead to compulsive gambling (to get the dopamine rush they can't get through love/sex anymore). I'm not saying it's the case for your husband, but meds might only make things worse for him. Stay safe.

  • @AviatorStone

    You're very brave. I've felt these same feelings for a little over two decades now, and I still haven't completely told anyone how bad it really gets. Its great to know that I'm not alone in this struggle, and that there are people who completely understand. The downside is that we have a hard time finding each other to talk about these things openly among each other. Sometimes it feels like the only people who can actually help are those that have been through it. I appreciate you so much right now!!!

    Anyone starting to take Seretraline listen to me.. I've been surfing with an anxiety disorder/Depersonalisation for nearly 2 years and I'm on my 3rd week with the meds.. the first week was hell my anxiety, depersonalisation, depression even hit me I nearly gave in but I got told if they give you bad anxiety,depression etc for the first few weeks it's a good sign so I continued to take them and I now feel a lot better like I can feel myself getting better after 2 years it's like I was dead for 2 years and finally coming back to life ! so please don't listen to every negative thought you hear on them.. the worse can happen they won't work and you'll try different ones but weather it out I did and it's worth it ! I went from getting 4+ anxiety attacks a weeks from getting only 1 in the last 3 weeks! Just keep going it will be for the better

    Don’t give up hun , I see complete strangers including me that cares about you , I’m going through the same , I had anxiety for quite a few years, the depression started lightly less then a year ago that progressed , i could have a complete shitty day but it was suggested I started going to the gym and believe it or not in really helps , it’s a great and healthy way to be distracted, I put my headphones on and crank some Metallica and I really feel better , I couldn’t believe how shitty I could feel but within the first 10 minutes I’m like in another world, I do this for the last few hours of my day then go home , have a chocolate protein smoothie and then crash , I still don’t sleep super good but I started taking CBD gummy bears that has melatonin and I wake up feeling pretty good considering how bad with the mix of depression and anxiety attacks I had . I’m praying you find some relief, take care sweetie , peace ✌️ .

After about a month I could no longer remember anything, it’s like the passed 15 years have been a dream, like it never happened. Depressive episodes are way more intense than they used to be. I feel as though a lot of this has to do with mindset. Yes you can take a medication for depression but it won't make you happy, it'll just remove the really intense depressive feelings. Changing your mindset allows you to grow and work with the medication. Choose to be happy, the medication allows you to even have happiness as an option.

I've begun meditating, reading self-help books, working out, and eating better, and I believe all of these things coupled with the help of sertaline is leading towards improvement of the mind

If I hadn’t continued to better my mind and body through meditation, eating healthy, exercise, etc. then I’m not sure I would be in the state of content that I feel today. I'm trying 100mg but I've tried 50 for a while and in general I don't feel much relief with Zoloft so it's hard to say if it's actually doing anything worthwhile and I have a side effect of an unrelenting feeling like ants are eating my brain or my brain is held in a vice and an electric current running through it which needless to say I'm not very pleased about. I've tried other antidepressants over the years and to be honest this Zoloft is the one I least dislike but it just doesn't feel like it's doing it for me, something just not right about it, so I think I may give up on it soon or just keep it for the odd occasion when I'm in a desperate low as together with a diazepan it's does get me a bit stoned and takes the edge a little off the suffering at the worst times. Sleep is the only real rest bite or reading to take my mind away or if I have the energy to go out for a quiet countryside cycle. but yeah in general I'm also currently daily feeling ever sucked down and under.

    • @geeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz

      Used to smoke it years ago and really enjoyed it before it got stupid strong. If it was legal here I think I would definitely try it but I can't smoke with asthma (I got pneumonia and was nearly toast a few years back & have asthma since). I do use tobacco snuff (boosts the dopamine some) and even that is better than Zoloft which I have just stopped trying now. I think there should be some sort of hash based treatment but as long as those big pharma antidepressant scammers are in control and making to much money from peoples misery then it ain't gonna happen which is a big shame. Actually I'm out of my depression/anxiety/stress trough for the moment and cycled about 30 miles yesterday but I'm wrecked and pretty red from the sun this morning. I even modified my bike when I returned to make a more aero and comfortable riding position but I'm to wreaked to get out for a proper test but amazed at the result so far and how my engineer brain thinks and comes up with a creative solution. I've never seen a basic bike set up like this before so if it works I'm sure others will be looking at it. I've sort of converted it to a cross between a tourer and time trial bike. It makes me laugh at how I came up with it so laughing is good medicine, if you can find something to laugh about and Zoloft isn't very funny. I agree with your suggestion and I had even thought of that myself but it's the smoking and not knowing what you are getting plus the illegality that I haven't gone and got some. I was/am even considering the non-high cannabis oil that seems to be big in the news at the moment but I think it's still illegal here (UK) also. I don't actually think the governments want people to be well and Zoloft is just a toxic chemical lobotomy design to create obedient drone zombies.

My brain feels cloudy and I really have no interest in doing anything. I force myself to go to the gym and run errands. I can't nap during the day because I feel like I can't sit still long enough. So frustrating.

    • @geeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz
      @geeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzz 6 лет назад

      Hi Amy. Been getting some pretty bad anxiety (it's awful) this last while and I'm just always super knackered (I can nap like the dead, nothing much to get up for) and struggle to get anything much done in a day. I think it's chronic fatigue probably from all the energy required for anxiety? I'm a bit in recovery today though as it's calmed down some by itself but I'm quite a way from any vitality and as yet I have no solution but I've been referred to a mental health group so will see if that helps. No Zoloft/Valium today just my tobacco snuff though I read now that it's supposed to be bad for depression and anxiety so sometimes I'm wondering if I would be better without it but it's my sort of crutch and it does bring some temporary relief though I don't recommend anyone start taking it and get nicotine addicted but it's useful for stopping smoking and I need one vice at least so better something roughly as dangerous as coffee which is also bad for anxiety etc so I have cut down on that. Maybe try half a tab 25mg Amy and see if that eases up the jitteryness or take it in the evening a few hours before bed? I still sometimes take 25mg and it seems best for me in the evening when I'm winding down but I took none today. Don't feel I need it or it would be any good but on another day I might feel that it might help though I know they tell you to take it regularly. I still will tell the doctor that I don't think it's great or much use for me. With asthma it's simpler. I take the inhalers and they work pretty well. Simple. But with these mind drugs it's another story. Not so simple at all. When I'm really anxious/stressed/depressed it's like nothing can stop it so I just lie in bed feeling very crap but I did force myself to go for a walk somewhere nice and quiet with no people, just nature, yesterday and I did feel it calming me down after a while so that seems to work for me.

    If you fell sad, hopeless, angry and depressed, then fix your life not your body.
    You feel sad for a reason and it's definitely not because you have a chemical imbalance.
    Being sad and depressed is normal, life is shit sometimes.
    Dealing with that shit without cheating your body with a drug is what with make you feel happy.
    If you feel happy while on the pills, then you haven't fixed your sadness because the cause is still there.
