Lorenzo, the one from "Pan de Bari", baker and artist!

When it's in your blood, there's not much you can do...
Passion is like that, it's impossible to suppress. At most, you control it, you manage it, if necessary you ration it, but sooner or later it resurfaces.
And Lorenzo, baker and musician, knows it perfectly.
I went to visit her in her beautiful, old bakery, opened in 1903 by her grandfather, giving life to a business destined to play a key role in the social life of the village of Sant'Agostino, a hamlet of Arcugnano on the outskirts of Vicenza.
And not only because of bread, a sacred daily food, but also for them, the Baris, an eclectic and entrepreneurially committed family who have left their mark in everything they have set up.
In this bakery, which Lorenzo has decided to carry on by collecting the long family legacy, he produces fresh bread and biscuit bread in the same way that, as a child, he saw it made by his uncle Ninìn before going to school. Those scents that used to climb up to his room that was right above the oven, today are the same ones that he exudes every morning, repeating the gestures and kneading selected flours, even from great ancient ones.
All this has meant that the "Pan de Bari" has even become a de.co, a municipal denomination, which is not a commercial brand, but a certification of the historicity and specificity of the production of his bread.
An award that also rewards quality, carried forward together with his other great passion, namely music. As you will see in the video, Lorenzo, pianist, singer and guitarist, has graced some truly important stages, even performing in front of thousands of people.
"But in the end I preferred to make bread", he says today without regret in front of the string of freshly baked panettoni that release a scent that smells of poetry and tradition. Then he picks up the guitar and the oven becomes the stage for music inebriated by ancestral scents...
