- I have been drifting for almost 20 years and my favorite type of driving is the mountain. Most people know it now a days as the touge, from all the japanese videos. Vaughn and I tandemed the entire run! It was so raw, unfiltered, and a personal dream for the both of us. Since we already had the logistics taken care of, I figured it would be awesome to shred it in my foxbody with the takumi san mountain run haha.
This shoot was insane, so so so sketchy. No guardrails, No road safety, just a a little more than 1 lane road, trees and beautiful country side.

P.S. Chelsea dude the confidence and dedication to goin full out in the foxbody was SIIICK!! That looked like a full on Option Video Taniguchi/Tsuchiya touge run. It was unbelievably smooth this was soo dope

I grew up and live on roads like this. Takes 30 minutes to get anywhere but so fun in snow and rain, especially at night so you can see headlights of any oncoming traffic.
God those things sound so knarly in the trees haha.. I can imagine what it’s like standing there. Hell yeah.

I absolutely love that notchback fox … it’s 100% what I’d build for a drift car if I had a blank check. Also you guys got some stones on you running that tight road wide open with the cliffs and huge trees. Not gonna lie I’d be kinda shook
There was a moment in Foxbody "trust your forward bite!" :D As somebody mentioned already, runs in the white one were even enjoyable to watch...this car is sooo nimble! Lights 3rd so smooth but at the same time so brutal from massaging the pedal - I'm all about such drift builds too!!! Better then 400hp 2j...

There aren't a lot of drifting videos where you get a really good sense of speed but the helmet cam inside the foxbody feels like warp speed compared to FD in-car for some reason.

The fact that I grew up and still live 20-25 from wilkesboro and knew nothing about this is so sad, and what makes it even worse is they wasn’t even informed about Moore Mountain😭 this road is great but there’s not a better road for driving then Moore Mountain in Wilkes, used to take my 01 Impreza up there every weekend in high school

I'm' in PA, i know some of this sickest roades (in the Laurel mountains, Donegal Mountains and around seven springs and hidden valley ski resorts , not only in the states. in all of the. 1/2 of them i slid, and the other half im either to puss cause they are sketchy with 50 foot drops, and one road is right around the flight 93 memorial and its under federal patrol , but its a 1 way road thats only open sometimes, (no idea why) but its a 4 mile short cut road, with some long sweeping turns, quick left to right back to left quick sharp turns with elevation changes with 3 turns that best remind me of englishtown road course when you come over the little crest into the sharp left corner . I've got on it and treated it like a grip track and want to slide it so so bad. i think the entire thing can be linked with no sections of non drifting or having to monjai once even

Chelsea, is your secret that you simply hold the rear tires right at their biting point? Like how a grip driver holds the 4 tires at the limit. You don't just go for maximum tire slip and spin (i.e. angle)
