I just got my breast reduction done early this week so far it’s painful but very tolerable. I hope everyone who going through this journey or planning to have a safe recovery.
Thanks for the info Fay. I get mine February 1st. So happy I’m finally getting this done. Took so many claims with my insurance company, but thank God Aetna approved me. Hoping all is well with you so far. ☺️
Were you able to return to work within a week?
@@johannajcabral I went back after two weeks. Light duty. Overall going into week 6, I am fully comfortable and can move around freely. The best life changing decision I made.

Just got my breast reduction yesterday I was a 34K and I’m so happy about my decision my back or neck doesn’t hurt and surgery was so smoothe I didn’t know I went through surgery

@@sharonw7279 Hilarious 😂 😂 😂 I told my doctor not to be shy and cut away and leave me with an A cup😬 He laughed and said that’s what everyone who comes in for a reduction ask for but isn’t always ideal 🤦🏾♀️

Had my surgery 3 days ago best decision ever…im post op day 3 no pain meds all day only tylenol

I got a call today that there was a cancelation and I went from not knowing when my surgery was to having 5 days to prep for it. I am freaking out but I am so excited!
This actually calmed me down I’m close to getting it done and I’m 15 so I was so worried but idk after watching I actually feel pretty good about it

@@annabellemper132 not yet I’m still 16 so I was kinda scared and was going through the stage of missing my size of chest but now that I’m over with I’m hoping to talk more abt the operation with my doctors. But I don’t believe that everything is gonna go fine with ur surgery and I’m wishing u the best and all positive thoughts❤️

She did a great job! i thought you had a reduction with breast implants. I need to look into getting mine done. These 34gs are marking up my shoulders and heavy. Also, did she sew your incisions nice? Some people on here look zig zag.
I know they were so lifted but now they are starting to settle! I can’t really tell with the incisions because I have been tapped up for the last 3 weeks but my mom says they look good!

Thank you so much!!! I finally have a scheduled surgery on the 17th!! I only weigh 130 Ibs and I was a size M before I got pregnant. I went down to a G. But, the back pain is soooo serious!! Praying that whosever going through this, too, has a wonderful procedure!

I know you posted this video some time ago, but I finally took the step of scheduling my consultation (not till Nov 30), and now I'm watching everything I can find. I'm a little scared but also so excited haha. Thank you so much for documenting your experience!
did insurance cover some of it?
@@kara5659 I still haven't had it since we're still a ways off from Nov 30 for my consultation, but the estimate for the consultation itself was maybe $150ish when I talked to the patient care coordinator on the phone. I don't know, but I don't think that'll be covered.
The actual surgery, I think, will be covered at least partially based on how much I want taken off, my back/shoulder pain and related issues, and the steps I've taken in preparation (lost 20ish pounds over the last year to get closer to an ideal weight).

@@ashmarie996 Back to comment that my consultation went super well! Now have a date of either like Jan 13 if insurance doesn't end up approving it or Feb 14 if it does cover, so we'll see.

@@janelleedwards7513 do it I recommend it to anyone with oversized breast, you'll feel so much better,your posture shoulders neck all of that is gonna be better for you, I aint gone lie I was scared to be in surgery for 5 hours but I made it, and I'm glad I made that decision
kyata ward I’m thinking about getting a breast reduction since I have back pain and especially because my breasts are bigger then my lower half...around how much was it?

I got a breast reduction last Friday and I can happily say the pain is very tolerable. After surgery I was sore and groggy from the meds and for the most part im still sore and bruised but with time and proper recovery things will be fine. Just don’t do too much moving. Recommend getting some bio oil for the scars, a pregnancy pillow to sit up in bed, and the post op bra (Amazon has it them for about $40-60). I didn’t even take the pain meds more than 2 days Bcuz I was super groggy and the meds the doc prescribed me didn’t stop the pain just made me numb to it and I had to take Tylenol 500mg for the actual pain. So I stopped those pills and strictly on Tylenol and the pain is less and less each day. The best decision I made and no I did not get any implants I went from a 34/36D to 30B and Im fine with that. I wanted to see what I looked like with the reduction/lift without implants. If I decide to do implants it’ll be next year but so far I love my results.
I am scheduled for my reduction on 10/28 .... Going from 40 triple D to D
Im a 38DDD going down to a c cup I am also losing weight so i will likely be 34/36 C Cannot wait!

@@adriannadancer7662 well I will tell you this! I was sooo traumatized at the first initial wake up pain? They had to keep me over night because I was so nauseated BUT after my brain 🧠 processed the pain I was ok with it all. I’m itching right now lol
Trying to get this GORILLA TYPE glue off my body. Lol (what’s in this stuff?) 😆 I noticed a HUGE back difference. I have to retrain myself to sit up more. I still feel like what’s left does belong to me just yet lol
Over all I wouldn’t do it for cosmetic reasons but I’m glad I did it for health reasons. This video it truly helped me process it all!! And thanks for checking on me !! 🙏🏼💯💯🙌🏼

how did she do the bags for your chest i tried for mine and failed 😭😭
You have to put your head through one handle of the bag and it will make like a triangle over your chest and just pull the sides so that it’s covering from side to side and then tuck the other handle under the bottom of the breast. I hope that makes sense!

@@dezarayberry1785 literally lol.. when I got my tonsils done they asked me what my major was and ion even think I got a chance to answer🤣 I was knocked out
4 weeks in. Still a lot of swelling because 5.5 lbs were taken. But all is well.
I'm next planning for August maybe with implants🤗

I’m a mother of 4 what would you suggest on recovery? I hope to get my breast reduction this summer.
You’re back on your feet within a week but you can do any heavy lifting greater than 20lbs. I would definitely do it if your able to take a week to yourself.
I am a mother of 4 ages 10,9,5,&2 my 5 and 2 year old will be with my grandmother for 2 weeks so I can heal properly. My breast reduction is scheduled for 3/15.

What size did you go to and from what size? I’d like this done as well.
@@RK-qh3dt ...With Breast reduction the Dr determines How much tissue to take out of each Breast...unlike implants that you can say what size you want to me....I was a 44D...By the looks if my breast now I may be a 32-34 B cup...im not gonna know until I try on different cup bra sizes....Right now im wearing Sport Bras something I was never able to wear in my life...

@@RK-qh3dt ...Well my incisions are all closed now at 7 weeks DO....but they go deep so the inside are not completely healed...my incisions are still sore...last night I popped a stitch underneath the skin and it hurt like hell with a burning sensation...This Surgery really takes time to comepletlt heal...

No I just guessed from the size she told me I would be. But honestly and truly I only wear sports bras or no bras. I haven’t gone bra shopping yet lol.
