@@Kairos-001 I had the tow dolly attached to the RV, the brake on and the car in gear. I will try blocking the back tire, but even if it rolls back an inch it's hard to get the ramps on. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try it
I'm glad I found your video. I've had a Class C for a year now, but I haven't gotten a toad yet because I haven't had the courage! It's been... difficult. Seeing you handle it and hearing about your difficulties with backing up, and how you learned to do it, has given me encouragement! Thank you!
Thank you! That's exactly why I made this video. I used to Uber back to the old campground to get my car. 😂 But now I find I prefer to drive the RV with the tow vehicle behind it. You will love the freedom having a toad vehicle gives you.
@@makingmyownlane Yes, it's pretty clear that I'll have to get a toad. I've been so limited in things I can do without one. I admire your determination! Also, I wanted to mention that your video is the first I've seen that shows how to get the vehicle off of the dolly. They all show how to load the vehicle onto the dolly, but not how to get if off. There are some tricks to it that I would not have been aware of, so thanks again!
@@melaniedeare5427 yes! No one really explained these things to me, either. I just allowed myself time and grace. The more you do it, the more comfortable it becomes. I did make a video about getting the Jeep ON the tow dolly, too! And why I chose a tow dolly over a flat tow.
I don’t have a tow vehicle, was really worried about towing it. So I bought a cargo e-bike that can carry 143 lbs of cargo, and an additional portable fridge so I can hold 3 weeks of food as that’s how long I’ll be staying at each campground. So long as there’s hiking, lake to kayak and fishing then I’ll be fine as I’ll be studying/working full time in the Rv.
When I first started, I didn't have a tow vehicle. I learned how to park in the empty areas of grocery stores larger parking lots. Even in the most remote places, there's usually some type of food store within 30 minutes. Can't wait to hear more about your travels!

At first, I was so nervous about towing a vehicle behind my RV. But now I would find it difficult to travel without my toad!
