Hi, Do I need Internet connection to use the yamaha tf mixers and send the monitor mix to the musicians or do I simply need an ethernet cable and a router?
Question; is it possible to hear playback of an mp3 from usb connected to the mixer, while having a mix on say 11 channels of a drumset, then hear those channels mix TOGETHER with the mp3 file playing then record all that to usb? If this is possible, how do I do it, where do I start, which setting? because I can not find nothing about that in the manual so do not know if it is possible; so far i can cue in the playback from the usb and listen to it with the headphones but as soon as I press any other cue, like if I cue in the 11 channels or the master, the playback keeps happening but I can not hear it, now i hear my mixed drums..I got this mixer to mix drums with a minus one mp3 drumless file and record it together..i have not being able to do that at all. Is this possible? nobody seems to have the answer! I am just a musician, not an audio engineer. Thanks!

Diego I am waiting for the same information from Yamaha but in my case to connect it to Studio One Pro 3.5; I only hear crickets, no information, horrible explanations that are not explanations at all suited for novices and no showing how to do things with it or the why this does this or that does that; you need to become an engineer but they are telling customers this mixer is novice friendly. I disagree!

I would love to setup my studiomaster Horizon console alongside your digital Console to do a sound quality comparison... I would lay down any amount of money that your digital console would not come close to the horizon EQ or quality in overall sound... the only way these digital consoles outweigh is by portability and weight! When it comes to vocals and sound quality it wouldn't come close!!

Why would any one want to spend so much money on this mixer to only get a 2 channel recording to a Hard drive, when you should be able to get individuals tracks, regardless of the destination of the audio files?

No.. You just use WiFi connection Between your mixer and iPad
Make sure mixer and router has connected

Good point. I just did and I am starting to regret it, probably a very expensive bad move!
I just use the USB connection into my laptop with Cubase and you have individual channels.
