Testing is brilliant - unarguably so: interesting, creative, vulnerable, well engineered … and that’s without us actually considering how exceptional the visuals and thematic imagery is. Stellar work, one of the most exciting hip hop outputs in the last decade.
It’s strange that people are willing to give credit to Mr. Morale being dynamically different from Kendrick’s discography but we don’t grant Rocky that kind of grace
I think the best thing an artist can do after releasing a smash album (or albums) is go left field and try new shit. It may polarize some fans but it’s better than overdoing your own formula. Great video man
On A Cloud (Canary Bricks) was supposed to be on testing but sadly never made it to album , Slow ending Snip from the Clothing brand Guess video was also supposed to be on testing and a couple of more

never fully went through Testing until a few weeks ago and it was actually beautiful. Glad I did.
Love this album. Just waiting for the next one this year.
If this album came out in 2023 it would be a different story, TESTING is a 10/10 ASAP album

honestly one of my favorite albums ever, changes is arguably his best song imo
I'm glad I held Testing as its own ground of albums and not compare with previous ones just like Kendrick's MMATBS.
