16” on center. It was a snug fit but it went it.

The FV-05-11vks1 is up to 113 cfm it looks like.The FV-40vQ4 is 390 cfm so I am guessing that is why it is a bit louder. Thanks for watching!

I tried a box fan at first, pointing out but it doesn't clear the smoke out that hangs at the ceiling level...

Steve, I will but dealing with a back injury since November. Once the stress of that passes I plan on a cellar one.
