Bri, if your family loves croissants from Costco, go to the bakery and ask them for a whole case to purchase of 270 frozen croissants… that’s how I purchased them that way we can just make them as we want them so we don’t have to rush through an enormous amount of croissants. Make them at home yourself!♥️
Wow 😮....had no clue you could do that.
😮
I buy 2 packages of 12, and wrap them individually in plastic wrap and put them back in plastic container. I then put those in the freezer and take out a few at a time and they are very fresh.
👍
How much does a case of 270 cost? Are they cheaper than getting them baked and packaged there?
We live a long ways from Costco also. We now shop there online. If you order over $200. the shipping is free. It is nice to just have it delivered to our door instead of driving an hour and half.
Can they ship frozen and refrigerated items?
They don't ship perishables or food that I've seen....those are all listed in store
I cut the croissants and freeze them all the time.
Nothing to do with the video but your skin is BEAUTIFUL!!!🩷
Originally, Costco did have a contract with Apeel. Apparently now, though, they do NOT sell produce with that coating. So there's that! Thanks for sharing. 😊
Bri…don’t forget to pick up a big, fat rotisserie chicken, or two, or three…
at $4.99 each they are Costco’s best seller-and the price will never go up!
we buy staples there like heavy cream, butter, cream cheese, eggs, bacon, sandwich meat, coffee pods, bone broth, dog treats, and meat. Produce is just packaged in too large a quantity. But we saved tons on things like clothes, a mattress, vehicle tires, gasoline for the car, even a new HVAC unit for our house. Snacks, we pick out one or two each time we go but they last forever because we only have two people in the nest now. We used to go to Sam's but rarely purchased anything. Once a Costco opened, we are converts. We have not been disappointed with any Kirkland brand product in our experiences.
During the winter i shop a lot at costco, last year when my husband didnt live with us i ordered through costco and had it picked up by that shop/delivery program, it was such a blessing. I think if something helps support during difficult times then i count it as a blessing ❤️ glad you are taking such gentle care of yourself and your family!!
❤ For a family your size, and the storage you have in the house, Costco savings can be ideal. But helps to be organized and know what is available with a plan. Big time commitment but can also be big savings. Batteries, toilet paper, lightbulbs, you need to hit some of the other rows beside food for savings.light bulbs,
Invite a girlfriend to make it a day trip. So have a catch up with a friend on the drive and while shopping. Really walk around entire store to see what they have for future. Save $$ and invest in some time for yourself. ❤
I found the more snacks we have the faster the grandkids go thru them if allowed to free-range in the kitchen. If I control what and when they eat the snacks will last longer. Thanks for sharing. I bless you.
I love that you have discovered Costco. It is the main place we shop once a month and get barely any other groceries at other stores. So great for large families! We are a family of 8.
We love buying the clothing. It’s very well priced.
Paper products are great. We will buy a whole case of chicken breast, you go to the butcher counter and ask for it. They price it a little cheaper by the case and we will just split it up and freeze it at home.
Love the snacks, produce is hit and miss.
Around Christmas time we buy wrapping paper and gifts from there.
Diapers and wipes are a must from Costco if you’re in that season, supplements and medication are a great price too
I have really been enjoying Costco! I have had a membership for about 1 year and with the executive I pretty much earn enough to cover my membership with how much I spend there. I'm blessed to only be 20 min away so it works well for most of my groceries.
Great video. I like seeing what one can buy for large family. It’s just me and I shop Neighborhood Walmart for everything. It’s great how you take care of Arthur. Healthy snacks are a great help to busy moms. Enjoy. Hope your cut flowers will sell. Everyone deserves the beauty of them.🎉
I appreciate your Costco review. I agree. Costco is walking distance for me. And I have grown kids now. I just enjoy buying bulk and feel prices are good. I love their bakery. Pet food great price and not garbage. I'm looking forward to seeing your price comparison with Azure. I've not bought from them yet but want too.
Hi Bri. I love going to Costco. I freeze the croissants all the time. Heat them in the air fryer. YUM!
We go to Costco often. We buy a lot of the same stuff you bought even though there are only two of us, because it lasts so long, plus when some of the grandkids come over, I have something to offer them. I get all my paper supplies, trash bags ziplock bags, vitamins, Kingston brand Tylenol, some fruit and veggies but mostly stuff we can freeze. I don’t buy my meat there because I think Butcher Box is cheaper. We also get our gas there but it’s only two miles away. We also like to do date night there. A hotdog and drink is only $1.50. Where else can you go and only spend $3.00 for dinner. I’ve also purchased appliances there as well! - Sue in HOT AZ
I am very lucky to have a Costco store only 20-30 min drive from us, so I get all my petrol from them for starters.
I like to buy our meat in bulk from there, their fresh produce is good but only if you can get through it in time.
I also get the freeze dried fruit, maple syrup, fats/oils, bakers flour, rice, toilet paper, wet wipes, detergents, nuts, frozen fruits. There’s always other random things but those are the staple things I get specifically from Costco.
We love shopping at Sams club and always compare prices. We buy crackers, snacks, bread,
croissants, pasta, vegetables, coffee and each time we go buy different items. Enjoy your videos. Have a good day.❤
I monthly shop and Costco is a must for me. Costco has monthly sales adds and I shop those for extra items. For instance right now they have paper towels which are 5.50 off so I will get a couple. I also have the Gold Star Membership. Which is $120 a year vs $60 a year BUT I get 2% back on all my purchases. You get a check at the end of your membership year and I just use that to pay for my next years membership and any extra I use for meat. Its saves me alot in the long run as a family of 6.
Some of my favorites at Costco to get are All-Purpose Organic Flour, Organic Sugar, and Kirkland Grass-Fed Butter which are staples for us. Organic Maple Syrup, Organic Ground Beef and nuts are also frequent purchases. I've also found some good clothing deals there as well as bulbs for the garden in the fall. We are about 30 minutes from a Costco. And, I always fill up for gas. I live in IL so traveling to MO to go to Costco I save almost a dollar per gallon.
I have Sam’s club near me and it’s not 10 minutes from our home. I do buy most of my meats there. Also their clothes are very well priced. But what I do is get them when they go on clearance. I’ve also go to Sam’s for any small appliances they always have great sales. I just had to get a new food processor and I was able to get a Ninja for $69.
We bought our first chest freezer (and one for my parents) at Sam's.
I am a bulk buyer and try to in essence buy a month of staples in advance. For example I only buy whatever meat is on sale in a particular week, I buy a month's worth and this way I always have a variety in my freezer but am getting it at the best possible price. Costco didn't work for me, mainly because of its distance from me, and the size of my family.
Only 2 of us, in our 70's. Have bought a lot of clothing from Costco. I am a big sales buyer so always peruse the monthly flyer. Only buy laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent, toilet paper when discounted. Rotisserie chicken when I feel like pulling from bone and freeze smaller portions to pull out for meals. Salmon patties, kombucha, certain snack crackers. Olive oil, coffee. Vitamins, tylenol. Bagels, cut and put wax paper between halves and freeze. Etc, etc....
The sausages are good the 4 packs of bacon are good also
Thank you for this video, I've never been to a Costco and the closest one to us in PA is quite a drive but it looks like they have a lot of organic foods so I might have to check it out. Always enjoy your videos and your lovely family!
Anything Kirkland brand is usually great. We buy our dog food and treats there. I find with Costco that it is not only the quality of the products, but that you can get stuff there that you can’t find anywhere else. I live in Canada so I don’t have Sam’s club to compare to, but even if I did, I would probably choose Costco
We are only a family of four, but we always buy toilet paper, paper towels, meat, most produce, and snacks at Costco.
Bri that was an amazing haul !! I’m sure the kids will love the snacks . U r doing great.
I love there metal shelves for storage and drying food and with your basement or under house I should say they would be awesome for better air circulation for your veggies off the slab and plastic
I have tiny storage so I can't do Costco, but I enjoyed seeing what you bought from there. Thank you for sharing.
Your kids eat so much healthy straight from the garden and earth that the snacks are a treat and you should not feel bad about that.
I buy a lot of staples there…flour, sugars, making soda, cocoa powder, frozen veggies and fruit. Seasonal fresh fruits, and the organic chicken legs&thighs are a great price! Also get the carbonated waters and zevia for a treat. Also have great prices on meat sticks and jerky’s!
Your skin looks so healthy., also don’t apologize for snacks, as much as you all work in the garden!! Prayers that God continues to bless your family…. You are a strong lady, and have been through a lot…. So good to see Arthur involved again, he’s an intelligent guy, and appears to be so good to the kids in explaining things .
🙏🙏
I always buy the bulk bag of carrots and organic spinach. Can't beat those prices. We love the teton grassfed polish sausage. They are like a really good hotdog. And we buy our chicken there.
I’m glad I’m not alone…going back and forth with snacks. I walk through the store ‘I can make that ‘ and then I sure don’t have the time or mental capacity…lol
We live in the same general area of Western NC as you. We make the trip to Costco about 4 times a year. I really enjoy stocking up on meat, specifically on pork chops, chicken thighs and chuck roast. We are empty nesters, so I get the 10-12 pound chuck and cut it into 3 pieces and vacuum seal. Same with the chops. Divide, season and seal. Then into the freezer. We get almost all paper products and cleaning supplies, batteries, coffee. I use their honey and avocado oil along with some seasonal items like sugar during canning season or nuts and chocolate chips for baking at the holidays.
We love stocking up on organic: sugar, all purpose flour, avocado oil, certain seasonings/spices, and coffee at Costco. Also batteries and paper products. They have coupons that come out bi-weekly..or monthly? And that helps with certain things…You found some great deals!
Nice haul, thanks for sharing!❤
Learning a lot about Costco from the comments 😊 Thanks for all the tips.
We are fortunate to live close to a Costco. We shop to stock up too. I get TP, paper towels, frozen fruit and veg, cheese, frozen pizza, GF chicken nuggets, popsicles, nuts, condiments. Rice, canned goods, baking items. Baking soda, vinegar, corn chips, tortillas. Not usually produce because our family of four doesn't go through it before it goes bad at those amounts. Actually about to go there today!
Batteries! Socks, white t-shirts/tank tops, swimsuits, sweatpants, underthings. Basically everything you got, (except I don't eat peanuts and spend the extra for shelled pistachios), Meat for sure, Kirkland products give their best quality to Costco. Coffee, baking basics, spices and herbs I use regularly and do not grow, such as, tarragon, black pepper, blends. Black tea bags for sweet sun tea. Cheese to freeze. Sheet cakes for special occasions. Every now and then I found an interesting book.
What you paid is very reasonable for what you bought.
Yes! You can totally freeze Costco croissants. I also love their artisan bread. My husband and I will but se real freshly baked packages and I come home and slice it up and put it in freezer bags. It’s perfectly fine.
I usually buy a rotisserie chicken for $4.99. It’s not the most delicious chicken but I often make a batch of chicken salad or soup. Use the meat for enchiladas or other tasty meals. I guess the very mild seasoning is a plus as it goes with whatever I need it to.
Also reasonable if you need Rx or eyewear.
CROISSANTS - I buy several at a time; cut them open to place some ham (or whatever meat I have) n cheese in each one. Then individually bag them up (I like to double bag to protect from freezer burn). And freeze them. I live a long way from town, so storing things for later is a necessity. 🥐🥐🥐
You go Bri! ❤ Snacks for the win! And yes you can freeze your croissants 👍Just make sure they are well wrapped or in some kind of well sealed bag. Ive frozen many a bread product (lots of times bc they were close to the best by date) and had success.
The Costco grass fed butter is so good. It's just like the Kerri gold butter but cheaper. Love all the organic options costco has. They also have the best Rotisserie chickens. I like to get the bulk packages of the foil, plastic wrap and parchment paper.
we love those fig bars
The gas is always the cheapest. In my area filling up our tank at costco saves is like $0.20-&0.30 a gallon!
Bri. I don’t peel regular cucumbers. I take a fork and score the peel on cucumbers lengthwise . Then just put them in whatever dish. Kids eat them right up.
I freeze the croissants. I just put them in a large zip lock bag. They defrost quickly as well.
Yes! Croissants do freeze well. I buy them every time I go to Costco-they recently went up from 4.99 to 5.99. Still such a great price. (But let them thaw on their own-doesn’t take long-never microwave even at the lowest power-all that butter-ask me how I know😂.)
Lemons and limes store twice as long in the fridge immersed in water. Just keep them in a pitcher with a lid filled with water.
One thing I can tell you about Costco as you’re trying things out, since I’ve been doing the same myself; sometimes you find a real winner and the next time you go back and they don’t have it anymore! So frustrating! So if you go there next time and they have ‘the thing’ that you love, buy extra just in case. 👍😉
I learned that the last two numbers of the item on the price sign mean something. For instance the last two might mean it's a manager's special, another last two numbers means it's a sale item, and another two numbers mean it's an item that won't be available long-term.
I would have to Google it to make sure of the numbers though.😊
@@esteeb42 thank you so much for that! I’m going to look into that too, awesome knowledge bombshell friend! 😄👍. Hope you’re having a super D duper day!
Svc sells the crosants but they are expensive.
Enjoyed the video 😊
LOOOOOOVE grocery hauls!
Yes, you can easily freeze croissants! Just put them in a bag and freeze as long as you use them within a few weeks. At the bakery I worked at we froze them and used them in a bread pudding. They do thaw nicely overnight in the fridge.
Costco is great, but like you, it is far from me. We make a trip only once or twice a year, but thankfully the costco here delivers non perishables. I have 4 kids so I definitely stock up on school snacks. Also, batteries, canned goods, butter and frozen veggies. My husband also loves the kirkland beef jerky. Every once in a while you can find good deals on high quality clothing and shoes. If you don't grow your own, chicken is also a good one to stock up on at costco. Great haul! I'm impressed that was only $500.
Never been but enjoyed your video. 😊
*um bom café da manhã olhos verdes 👏🏻*
The organic all-purpose flour at Costco is cheaper than Azure. Costco is at $0.70/lb (20 lbs) and Azure is at $1.07/lb (55 lbs). Big difference! For coffee, you can get the organic Kirkland brand of whole bean (2 lbs) for $13.99. It's such great coffee. We're a large family and we love Costco. We love Azure too, so we're always comparing prices to get the best deal.
Bri, we have 5 kids here in sc. I shop at Sam’s all the time and break down the packages and freeze a lot of their foods. We also buy the croissants and freeze them. We have a commercial sealer on the farm that I use for our deer meat and veggies. I buy bulk cheese etc. and break them down into smaller sizes for the freezer. Ps, I was the one who ran into you while you were backing out of Justin’s drive. Our family was staying in an Air BNB down the street while house hunting for a vacation house.
Thank you for this video, Bri. I have debated making the trek down the mountain to Costco. I wish we had one closer mainly for their frozen fruit and tofu. There are some things I get at Sam's but just try and avoid all the processed junk.
I have frozen the croissants from Costco and they do freeze well.. Its always fun to get "special" treats no matter if your 1 or 90 !.. ;). Costco is also great for clothing- kids and adults, gardening items, batteries....
Love Costco! We are going to do a no spend grocery in July and then in august stock up.
They also have organic cotton pjs for kids for CHEAP but they are great quality, I also love the diapers when they go on sale I stock up! My husband buys motor oil because the price is great…and they have the best organic sauerkraut if you don’t have time to make your own
It’s just my husband and I so we stick to paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, chicken breast (individually frozen one breast feeds us both for dinner) and occasionally canned goods. When I was taking care of my parents, the deal on depends was a true blessing!
Hey Bri, I had a membership when we frequented Connecticut.
Lots of yummy foods for holiday snacking !
Lots of fun areas to shop!
You did very well for such a larg family 🎉.

Hi Bri, Costco is one of my favorite places to grocery shop. There are a alot of things we always buy everytime we are there. Crissants, Rotisserie chicken. Organic chicken if they have it, all the dairy lol organic milk/whip cream/half & half, babybel, cheese, sour cream, yogurt, salsa, coffee, dog treats. On the other side batteries. I'm sure there is more. Oh and all the snacks.
I'm in Alabama and at my Walmart, English Cucumbers are 89 cents.... my jaw hit the floor when you said the 3pk was 7 bucks. Wowzers!
I get a lot my Costco things delivered to my home......especially the heavy and bulky like dog food and toilet paper............I always when I am at the store go down all the aisles because sometime there are really good clearance ........
Love your videos. Where did you get your bracelets at? Love them
Never walk out of Costco without at least one rotisserie chicken!!
I think overall you did Great! We don't have a Costco where I live but would love to stockup on meats at Costco and pantry staples. Thank you for sharing!!
Thank you
Shoes, are great at Costco.
Interesting! I would say the best savings is the fruit there! And the quality. U cant get produce very easily in MN that isnt almost rotten… and costco and aldi is by far the best quality in our area. Bacon, butter, organic milk and grassfed burgers are also a massive savings there
You can freeze cheese! Nuts and butter store a long time in the freezer too❤
I don’t have a membership because it’s just me. I can’t drive and I haven’t been there in the five years I have lived where I live now… However, even a single person can find things that are well worth stocking up on…. Bulk spices, nuts, butter, bulk cilantro and green onions, fresh produce for current use, frozen fruit and veggies, other frozen stuff if they have things that I can eat… I used to get vanilla there, but now I I just get bulk vodka or brandy to make my own vanilla😂. I also like the GF bread and 3 pound bags of mixed quinoa and things like that.
I freeze the croissants all the time. At first I individually froze then bagged them, then I just tried bagging them in gallon bags and found it works great. No problem taking just a couple out.
I freeze the croissants and they taste fine once thawed.
We freeze the costco croissants in small batches if we can't get through them all. I buy anything we can freeze like veggies and meat. I get snacks and coffee pods. I like their staples like organic milk, eggs, cheese, butter, pasta, sauce organic sugar, pink salt and we get jasmine rice there. Paper products, dog food, freeze dried dog treats. The snacks are a life saver when we have activities during the week that I can just keep in my car and pull out as needed (saves us from the drive through). We live in the city super close to Costco and do all my main shopping there and only get small quantity items or one off things from the grocery store if I need them via online and pickup (I spend less that way). We have a small family, but I find I can go twice a month if both trips are stock up trips and don't really need to go to the grocery store that often. Our stock ups are smaller than yours because of family size, but for foods that keep in the fridge and freezer and non-food consumables, it works best for us. Way cheaper than the grocery stores in our area... Azure is great, but when I live less than a mile from Costco and our Azure drops are several miles, the gas and time consumption offset the savings IMO.
I stock up on eggs. Butter. Cheeses pork. You can get a whole pork loin and cut it into pork chops or smaller roasts. It is crazy cheap.
I use the Costco app and shop the coupon book.
Costco produce easily lasts twice as long as grocery store produce! It’s definitely doable for our family of 6 to buy Costco quantities of produce when we go.
Online , and mainly clothes.
on the Costco Haul remember that you are feeding a small army. So I would not worry about the produce going bad, I am sure your small army could devour all that produce in the next 72 hours. Also you could not only put together a vegetable platter but it looks like you could also put together a fruit platter with all the fruit you got and I bet the small army would love that as well!!!!
Organic rice, tomato paste, organic preserves, olive oil trash bags paper towels and tp are all cheaper at Costco. Rugs too. These are things I havnt found cheaper anywhere else. We shop Azure as well. Fruit is 99% of the time never cheaper. Oh powder sugar, brown sugar and organic sugar we stock up on from there as well.
Bri, I purchase several packages of Costco croissants every time I go and freeze them. I’ve never had a problem with freezing them. Since I’m an hour away from a Costco, it helps me a lot. 😊
When I was young an occasional treat for us was soda. We drank milk, water or cool aid (always with less sugar than the packet called for. That was too sweet.). Mom only bought soda when it was on sale, and she would "hide" it in a dark, cool spot under the basement stairs. Never left it conveniently in the kitchen. As we got old enough to know about her stash, we also knew it was off limits unless told otherwise.
Put half of those snacks in an out of the way spot so you can pull them out after being "out of them" for a week or two. They will last longer and be appreciated more.
Definitely compare prices with your other sources. A list of what you normally buy with all the current prices before a shopping expedition is always a good idea. The kids could check the prices on line for you and break it down to cost / unit. Great teaching moment and they will be doing something helpful as well as seeing the realities of budgeting and what that can entail.
Thanks for sharing your discoveries.
My family has spread their wings now but when buying for family it was the baking staples mostly. I have 4 children, grew a garden to last the year so lots of canning and freezing and we had our own beef and eggs.
So flour, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, baking powder and soda, salt, raisins, chocolate chips, craisins, coconut, whole nuts.
Ketchup, almond flour, coconut sugar, deoderant, shampoo, fisherman friends, toothpaste.,
I should say that l am in Canada
Meatballs, paper towels, bratwurst, toilet paper, lasagna on sale, frozen fruits and vegetables, carrots, coffee, almond milk, maple syrup, pizzas for emergency nights, burger patties in the summer. Butter, cheese, organic Dave’s killer bread, burger buns. Hotdogs and buns, flour, garlic, onions and seasonal produce on sale, we are a family of five and once you get used to it most weeks I can keep it down to $250 per week but also randomly stock as I go. Especially canned goods but will by fresh if I can.
I freeze my Costco croissants all the time and they are perfect.
Hey Bri! My kids love mangoes too - we get the frozen organic mangoes at Costco and freeze dry them. I would love to hear what you and your kids think of that treat - we love them!! (I have found the frozen organic fruit at Costco to be cheaper than azure in my area - as well as organic sugar and flour.)
My favorite frozen item is the bags of lightly breaded chicken nuggets that taste just like Chic fil a. I love them as a protein on a salad when I want a very hearty salad for dinner. Waaaaay cheaper than Chic fil a, convenient and delicious. Not organic, but a nice treat.
we live near costco but i usually have stuff delivered . they have free delivery or low
cost delivery if you don’t spend enough
toilet paper,paper towels,kleenix
husband goes there
and
buys canned goods and meat, dairy
we also get the cheap lunch at the
snack
bar
I switched to Sam's this year. I don't go through the whole store. I just have a regular list of things I use that are cheaper than at the grocery store. Mostly pantry and health supplements.
I freeze croissants all the time and they come out great.
I buy book sets and clothes:) paper goods, and things on special.
A2 milk, kids cloths, some convenience foods, fruits and veggies
We have a Sam's Club where I live and the croissants are a great deal there too. I freeze them all the time
I don't know about Costco but you could check, Sam's club ships items free with the premium membership. I use the shipping often. They also do delivery which I have not used. Would be worth checking in to for non perishable items.
