The most fascinating things you've vlogged at the Japanese Costco are those pre-chopped scallions, the white parts & green parts packed separately. I love how Japanese stores carry perfect, select produce. I'm older & get exhausted here in the States, picking & cutting off the not so fresh parts of produce. It would be a pleasure to buy things this fresh & ready to use.😋 Another fascinating find: The easy peel oranges.🍊 Cool!

The reason Japanese fruit is expensive and almost perfect looking, is that the farmers prune the trees for larger and sweeter fruit. In most countries, farmers will let the tree grow say 300 apples on a tree, the Japanese prune them to have 150 apples.

Thanks for showing a Costco run in Japan. We lived for 4 yrs in Okinawa and my kids miss it so much. But we will be there this summer so excited to visit Costco in Japan. Okinawa doesn't have a Costco, I think they are building one now. But you are right how the discipline Japan is so unbelievable. I wish we had that. The trash system. My kids learned to recycle.we had to buy trash bags that are a bit pricey but it came from their trash company. We can't use regular America trash bags. Theirs were clear and is colored coded. Bags are different for our daily trash, from the recycle bag and all boxes or newspaper are tied with a white straw. If you made a mistake on putting something in the wrong bag, the trash man won't pick it up and you will get a sticker in it. The kids missed living in Japan. We enjoyed your video. We were drooling on all those sushi, sashimi, snacks and wagyu. Thanks again. 🙂

Standard soda cans are being re-formatted in the US. Mini cans (shorter and thinner) in 7.5 oz or 220mL are becoming more common. The 12 oz (355mL) cans are starting to come in the same skinny diameter cans, only taller. I am not sure if they are the same dimensions as the Red Bull cans though.

I noticed you didn't show any sample stations. Were there any or you just did't vlog that. Very interesting and thanks for sharing with us.

Should do comparison shopping at Hawaii Costco. Iwilei, on the outskirts of HNL, is reputed to be World's Busiest Costco!-lol

I live in Kumamoto. Looks like most of the food products are sized for restaurants not home. They have American beef, Canadian pork, but again the sizes of packaging is definitely for restaurants. The platters or great for get togethers.
Also, interesting that the restrooms are American style. No washlets.

Apollo chocolate, my favorite, reminds me of my childhood. When I find it, I always buy it.

Strawberries and not in season, The idea of "hot houses" are in the US. When we went strawberry picking (ishigo gari) it was rather cold outside.
