    This is exactly the same defense Belichick built in NE only 7-8 years later. In Brady's early years it wasn't about his arm. that team won superbowls because of its great defense.

      Interesting. Makes sense, as they used a 4-3 defense for the first two years, then went to a 3-4 with Ty Warren at NT. Seymour was a 4-3 DT that later was a DE? Or they used him at NT and Warren at DE?

    • @crosstatt7441
      @crosstatt7441 6 месяцев назад

      Let’s not forget that the city was also at fault here. Back in the 1970s, the city didn’t have any money. So, Art Modell agrees to take over maintenance of the stadium. Which was a huge mistake! Also, Mayor White doesn’t act on things until it’s too late. Therefore, he’s responsible, too!

    • @crosstatt7441
      @crosstatt7441 6 месяцев назад

      By the way, Art Modell should have never taken over responsibility of the maintenance on the building. Even his wife, Pat thought that it was a bad idea. However, he wanted to help because he knew how rough life could be. In hindsight, it was a bold and bad decision, but we risk losing our baseball team if that doesn’t happen.

      The Browns were ready to explode in the NFL, they had the talent to get it done, but the move hurt the team, that 2000 team should’ve been Cleveland, but years before, Belichick had built this team as a championship team. Basically Brian Billick won the Super Bowl with most of Belichick’s players.

      They started 3-1 the next year. Belichick switched QB's at 4-4 to rookie Eric Zeier and then came the announcement of the move. The team basically quit after that. Shame, as the team was picked by many to get to The Super Bowl that year.

      Not really . The Browns left in 95 and the Ravens won in 2000 . That is a long time in football years . Matt Stoffer might be the only guy left . i could be wrong . But what i am saying is Baltimore built that team .

    • @jgott49
      @jgott49 2 года назад +1

      @@mafia_dave32 it wasn’t about the guys who were leftover from Cleveland, it was about the future stockpiled draft picks & salary cap space that Belichick was building on. Ozzie Newsome even credited him for some of the moves that helped with that 2000 Superbowl.

    • @jeremykrause153
      @jeremykrause153 6 месяцев назад

      Not really because the Ravens added most the pieces that would win the Super Bowl starting in their first draft by getting Ogden and Ray Lewis. Honestly not many players that would play key roles on the 2000 team were even on this team outside of their kicker and Michael McCrary.

  • @joshuaecht
    @joshuaecht 2 года назад

    I loved Vinny but he was inconsistent. Browns lost to the Steelers due to dropped passes, but also because their linebackers couldn't mirror/hand off the WRs to the DBs. So PIT could do what it wanted on offense because our LBs couldn't run with their WRs, and if we played cover-1 in the box to stop the run their WRs were too good and our DBs were vulnerable. Playing zone didn't work because O'Donnell would go 2x2 streak and pick the zone apart. O'Donnell lost the following week to a surprisingly good Chargers team, wasting that Steelers D's efforts to that point.
