I never thought I see the day starter homes starting at 400k plus !

Thanks for the comment @alreynolds7152! I absolutely understand your sentiment! My real estate career began in VA back in 1996 where a 4 bed/2 bath 2,000 sqft newer home priced in the range of $150K-175K. And that was a reach for the average buyer in that market at that time! The surge of buyers during the low interest rate environment during Covid, low inventory, and close proximity to NYC where there is an abundance of people with solid income made a perfect storm for price hikes in the NJ market.

I lived in Metuchen for many years. Metuchen is a great walkable town. I could walk to the train, downtown and also Menlo Park Mall.

Menlo Mall is in Edison, not Woodbridge. Thomas A Edison was known as the Wizard of Menlo Park.

What express train are you talking about here. I keep looking into it and I don't see an express train in metro park that doesn't stop in Metuchen.
I was leaning towards living close to metro Park but I haven't found an example of a train that doesn't stop at both so leaning towards Metuchen.

@yooom321 There are no express trains from Metuchen. You would have to take the express from Metropark.

@@newjerseylivinggroup I guess my point was looking at the train schedule, every train that stops at Metuchen also stops at MetroPark. So I wanted to know which train specifically only stops at metro park and skips Metuchen.
I know the Princeton supeer express skips Metuchen but it also skips Metro Park. Where as the other express trains go to edison, Metuchen, Metro Park before becoming express. What am I missing? I'm looking at this schedule. content.njtransit.com/public/NEC-WKDY-072422_3.pdf

@@yooom321 I just reviewed each of the weekday express trains out of Metropark and they do in fact stop at Metuchen on the previous stop. This has not always been the case, but it is certainly a major benefit for Metuchen residents and others who use that station. So to answer your question, yes the Metropark express train does stop at Metuchen as well. Sorry for the confusion.

@@newjerseylivinggroup thank you so much for clarifying. Honestly Metuchen wasn't in my radar till I saw your video. Love your videos! Would love to see one on piscataway too!
