RTX 5090 Is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! Huge Specs Update
Nvidia's RTX 50 Blackwell series of GPUs is extremely highly anticipated, and today we have some fresh RTX 5090 Leaks, and if this specs update is accurate then RTX 5090 is RIDICULOUS. Join us as we examine the huge hardware specs update for the flagship RTX 50 GPU, including details on the memory configuration, denser design and brand new PCB design - on top of all the other recent RTX 50 specifications leaks we've had across the industry in the last few months.
With RDNA 4 bowing out of the high end race this gen, it will be interesting to see how Nvidia markets and prices the RTX 50 series of cards, as well as of course the specs and performance improvements over the current gen.
We also have some interesting news on the Nvidia next gen "AI PC", which allegedly combines a Blackhawk CPU and Blackwell RTX GPU.

I would say it's the otherway around. Lots of folks want to upragde there GPU, but sure the 5090 will be expensive. The 4090 was the same and if I'm not mistaken that ended up selling really well because it provided a substantial uplift from the 3090. The problem now is that you can't really repeat that trick as A. the software hasn't caught up and B. the cost will be prohibative even with the extra performance, folks will probably switch to the 40XX or lower 50XX series instead.

I have been trying to save up to build a full custom water cooled hardline loop since the 3090 came out. I got about 4 outta the 7k (including everything including 7.1 surround sound) I need for a current top the line build. I think I might wait for the 5090 and zen5 x3D chips to drop. I know it's overkill and waste of money but my dream is to have a top of the line 4k 240hrtz machine. If my current rig is anything to judge by it'll last me almost a decade. (Assuming nothing dies) which is the main reason I want to do a huge overkill loop in the corsair 1000D case and maybe even mod it for external water tower cooling. Keeping your parts cool is a great way to keep them in great condition for years to come. Undervolting them doesn't hurt either. I have literally no practical use for this outside of gaming it's gonna be a very expensive toy Lmfao. I'm sure a lot of you are gonna tell me it's dumb and waste of money and i'm not going to try and deny that.

I wonder why people can't have a external power conduit system hooked onto the PC case, so that this system measures the temps and power flowing through it, and has safety switch in place to flip if the readings goes wrong? A GPU takes specific power over time in wattage, but the cable could degrade or such which can change how much voltage actually flows in... And a degraded cable means harder connection for the electrical conduit, which means more resistance and more amps or heat built up?
A GPU can operate at low wattage too, so everything put into a single 12 pin has no backup if that 12 pin fails.
Multiple 8 pins means that the GPU can take power from any of the 8 pin ports, so with a interesting system acting as a interface, you can enable or disable those 8 pin ports/cable if the reading is suspicious?
As more modern and powerful PC becomes available, the amount of power and compute used also skyrockets, meaning you aren't merely talking about bricking a module, but fire and electrical hazards.
You'd think computing gets more compact and power efficient, but now we are getting power hungry and all the problem it comes with arises.

I think the key element is really the strategy of the how things are divided between AI and gaming. If all of the AI chips requite a higher threshold of SM chips from the full die, say 172 and up and the 5090 is at 164 or 168 then there might be decent availability of 5090s as they can use the"B" silicon for the 5090 that did not pass for the AI. However if their entry level AI chips have the same or fewer number of SMs then they will not really make any 5090s and the token ones out there will be only available at ludicrous prices from scalpers. If it is 50 to 60% faster than the ONLY upgrade for a 4090 user will be the 5090. And with the way they positioned it the 5090 is really the same space as the 3080 was in their lineup. So if they all go to AI then 4090 owners may be forced to just wait for the 6000 series. I have a 4090 and would only consider the 5090 and it would need to be 60% or more faster in raster I don't really care about upscaling numbers. I would pay 4090 levels but not going to pay $2499 or more which is where I think Jensen will put it.

the nvidia "package" sounds like a blade for a blade server. You can have up to 8 of them in a 1U server if they are thin enough and none of any coolers on them. For nvidia's stuff most likely going to be limited to 4 per 1U server due to needing the cooler. Now if they have what the marketing slide says they have those 4 will each have 2 GPUs 2 TPUs and 1 CPU with unupgradable system RAM. The unupgradable system RAM part is normal for blades in a blade in a blade server as to upgrade it you replace the entire blade in the server. Yes it leads to lots of e-waste but it also comes with benefits.

A 5080 that is only as fast as a 4090 for China sales, then a 5080 Ti that is the real potential of the 5080 (maybe +20% over 4090), then a monster 5090. It seems interesting if that really happens. Thumbs up.

I upgraded from a 2080 Ti to a 4090, was the best purchase I've done in computer hardware, an absolute beast of a card. Because of that, I see the 5090 as being more of a luxury item, as the 4090 is still a monster. We'll see, the uplift has to be substantial for 4090 owners I think and I guess Nvidia will understand this.

@PhotoshopArt thing is i m not gonna buy the 50 series if its 1500+ euros. I just bought a 4070 super, im a cs2 player the 1 % lows often go back to 150+ which is a waste paired with the 7800X3D.
