- Опубликовано: 9 апр 2012
- "Love Spreads" is a song by The Stone Roses, released in November 1994 as the first single from their second album Second Coming. The record was a number two hit in the UK, the highest peak for any song by the band, as well as the only Stone Roses song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, charting at number 55, making the song their most commercially successful track. It showcased a bolder, edgier direction for the Roses' sound, especially John Squire's Led Zeppelin-tinged guitars.

Every Stone Roses live video:
"Tight band. Pity about Ian."
True
The gigs from 89 and 90 are not the case with that! Ian sounds good on those bootlegs.
Just wasn’t bothered by this point
Best Roses song by a mile. The song is the most underrated guitar anthem of all time.
totally - up there with stranglehold as one of the best guitar songs of all time
Aziz had impossible shoes to fill, but he is an amazing guitarist.
I’ve met him a few times a proper nice down to earth guy and Inder gold finger
Yep. He did a great job. Its Ian that fucks this show up.
Aziz Ibrahim was the best thing about that car crash of a performance at Reading.
@@GazE291977and Reni
You can really hear the jimmy Paige influence on this song it's that cool a riff
Kashmir and Voodoo child mix.
They were so careful about their image, their attitude towards the press... all the statements they made, what they stood for... everything was very well timed and they always struggled to keet it real. How did it end up like this? Performing with 50% of the band and in such a poor shape. Everything went well down the drain by the 90's. Egos are so destructive.
Browns like “vocals up “ mani’s like “no way man “
Yeah I love that!
When your mum says take your brother with you.
" Come on Ian"
To be fair, both Robbie Maddix and Aziz Ibrahim are pretty damn good in this. It’s Brown that makes this a farce. He’d already lost the will.
Ha! Not in the slightest, mate. Sorry.
Band was on fire Browns binge had ruined it.
@@berlinocelot You dont think Aziz did this justice?
Brown sounds fine here
He's always been a whack singer let's be honest. Gotta give him credit for the lyrics he wrote but at the end of a day he was lucky to walk into a band of great musicians.
i REMEMBER LYRICS FROM 20 YEARS AGO AND FOUND THIS AGAIN. GREAT REAL 90'S BAND
damn caps lok
I don’t blame john squire for leaving
Aziz - amazing.
Aziz absolutely nails this wow. Fair play to him
Drop all the ooh ooh oohing and it’s a banging performance of an amazing song
Fabulous guitarist
I thought these guys were fairly new, I just now found out they came out in the mid 90’s. I was in my late teens, how did I miss them ?
They were around in the mid 80's!
They had come and gone by the mid 90s
@@laussethecat They had come, gone, second coming and gone again by the mid nineties. Ian Brown went Solo and was the most successful out of the other Band members.
They weren't huge in America , even compared to like oasis and blur. Pretty sure
Aziz nails the guitar, Ian can't be arsed, Robbie is what he is, a good rock drummer, but can't play like reni. But then who can?
You can tell ian brown is totally unintrested
Not really surprising as what was left of the band by then was on the verge of breaking up.
@@gregkiteos1936 still happy to rip the fans off, though, the twat.
Some bands you MUST experience live to understand.
Great haircut
Totally drunk, out of tune, out of time. And that’s the good parts.
and smoking.....
End of the tour kinda thing
@@pubuapubua end of the band kinda thing
that guitar riff at the beginning still gets me though
@@richardoshea2071 that first note is like a glass floor smashing beneath your feet
Aziz is crackin guitarist and he nails this, not sure about Ian😳
That guitar riff carried this tune
It blew my mind when i first heard it in the 90's, still love it, learning it on the guitar now, it's actually not that hard.
@@Markycarandbikestuff ye its an awesome sound, proper cool
And the awesome laid-back but also complex drumming.
Going through the motion , and you can tell
So fed up of crap ads on RUclips
get adblock dude
Brilliant song this one!!!
Amazing song!!
I was at this gig. It was fucking shit. Missed Underworld to watch which pains me to this day.
The band play well, and on a positive for Ian, his hair looks good🙂👍♥️
I regret I'm missing their show tonight at Madison Square Garden
Sonnet Lyric was there, truly amazing experience, best night of my life. But don't worry they'll be back
F..kin' .. rock'n'roll 🤘
Ian is singing flat for the first 90 seconds but recovers...I suspect it could be the sound on stage..He is a good singer and a lovely guy...Great performance
I love this song, but I have spent serious money over the years and never been as fucked up as Ian. damn it man!!! LOL
Love it..respect to the Original Stone Roses tho
When Jason Williamson said he wants to be, and sound, as good as the stone roses he wasn't talking about this
That's some seriously bad, refund-worthy vocals.
Lol and he sings the guitar bits terrible
You are not smart
its ian brown!the man who stood up to the biggest lie in history!scamdemic!
wonder where Liam G got his look from
aziz on guitar duty
Oasis looks different here
Like this song wanted to see it live . Sometimes they don't nail it. Guitar guy does good tho.
The stoneless roses
this is great ian is perfect i think (perfect balance of his non-performance style and having the band come thru and having that keyboard dude? -rad
1959 les paul
Try again. The red is still fully in tact.
+T Scott custom
***** i know that squier gave jimmy mar 59 original, and marr gave it to galager , than galager crushed it on some skinhead or something like that than again maybe its hype , but mar gave 59er to galager thats for sure , sorry on my bad english
Condascending dick time. The LP that you're thinking of was 1960 and originally owned by pete townshend, then marr, the noel. John's was an original 59 but was owned by management. And no, its not a custom. They have diamond inlays on the headstock.
+T Scott that's a 59 custom , this is not john
Reading?
Shocking gig.
Knew it was all over that day
Yes it was the last gig before the break up
This is the first time I've ever watched this after reading about it for years... it really is as bad as everyone said it was. The drummer and guitarist are competent session musicians but put next to Squire and Reni... I reckon they might have gotten away with a one-off gig if it had only been Squire absent (maybe), but without Reni and that beautiful rhythm the whole thing could only fall apart at the seams.
Ian was monged that's a lot of the problem
Let me put me in the picture, shit ,yeah yeah yeah
Fuck i never knew who did this song i remembered from growing up... an Oasis rabbit hole led me here ❤
One to many of what you had ian
reminds me of Liam Gallagher (Oasis)
You can tell Oasis borrow their style from them
sheeeeeeeeee soooooooooo highhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
This is what you call a "studio band".
Stone Roses tribute band feat. Ian and Mani
how out of his tree is IB????
Oooooooooooooooohh
Yeah yeah yeah
OoooooooooooOOOOoooohhh
Yh yh yh
Followed then from the start.......this was the only Rose's gig I ever saw because of work and finances I never made any other prior to this and with the band split and new 'members' I thought it would be shit and it was! IB of his face! Disappearing every other minute to have a line, embarrassing.....we fucked off and got stoned. I was truly gutted.
Did Ian Brown cut Squiers first solo well short?? Angry look from him???
gazzaboy2531977 your going to have a hard job since squires not there
I'd it me or the guitar is not john
O.k...
Ian is wasted in this 😭😭😭
drums!
Esto es como una morcilla de chocolate. Ian desafinado como siempre, y esa guitarra que parece un shitar. Madre mía, que diferencia con el año 1995.
Kono fakku yaro!
one man band and the singer is not in it......... but thanks boys.. you were great
who isnt high?
Not Squire.
second coming ? any body?
Ian sounds pretty good here
Aziz nails the guitar? Did we watch the same video?
Dont hear John Squire but I hear Live Spreads.
I'll have what Ian's having
me to squire "your shirts a curtain nigga"
sweet hair that's funny - i didn't see john.
douebleu rite thanks that aint him, I assumed it was. funny shirt guy tho
+sweet hair funny shirt guy is the legend IAN BROWN
That guitar riff is badass
Have we gone through all the ghosts now?
Who thinks Roses could of carried on without Brown? SQUIRE MANI RENI?
Leed singer is higher than the nuts a on a giraffe but this is great!
Manc zeppelin
Love the guitar, vocals are about a half note off
Great music, the vocalist though... Like WTF?
It's the sound engineers that let this down
Other than that quality
Jesus Christ,IV heard a lot worse, stop hating on Ian's vocals,it wasn't the best time of his life, was it?
That is the correct way to use a slide. If I see it on your ring finger, I know you are an amateur.
No were near like squires version & that was the fall of the roses sadley😢
It needs more cowbell
is that a stiff he's smoking???
and in the reunion ( 2011 - present) sounds the same :(
This is NOT Stone Roses
Yo what is the singer vaping?
Why didn't Ian ever get vocal lessons or find ways to improve his voice it really weighs him down
Don't think he gave/gives a shit.... Shame as he always sounds good on studio recordings.
Don't really get the meaning of the lyrics
Vocals are weak...
reading festival 1996, I was there, awful.
andybeavis65 I agree
Prodigy were good though...
First Suckas!
I love this band but I never wish I saw this video. It's like he was doing his best to sound bad on vocals.
That guitarist sucks!!! Where was Squires???
damien williams he left in 1995. That’s Aziz Ibrahim filling in. A great guitarist, but just not Squire.
Nothing wrong with Aziz. He's a brilliant player. But its not his song, and Brown needs lobbing off the stage. What he's doing is diabolical.
When Ian Brown is bad, he is really bad 🤣
I always hated the way Robbie Maddix started this song, it sounds like he drops his sticks, fucking woeful.
its fine...this song is not bad vocally..Ian has never really nailed it live EVER
+forestfan3 that s your opinion
Glasgow green 1990...
Live performance is not Ian's forte. 1,000% better on studio recordings
Less Zeppelin
Love the roses but this is not the roses and its terrible. Credit to the rest of the band for playing decent somewhat
Who's this f***ing tribute band
why does this guy looks like liam gallagher??
